The cleanliness was great, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment. The pillows and mattress were comfortable, which is crucial when travelling. The view from my window was great, offering a pleasant scene to wake up. the staff were friendly and welcoming, contributing greatly to the cosy atmosphere of the hotel.

The most notable issue was the size of my room, which was quite small. This limited space made it challenging to comfortably manage my belongings. There was a distinct lack of storage options, such as a coat hanger or sufficient space to place my items. This made the room feel cramped and somewhat inconvenient, especially after a long day of travel. It’s unclear if this is an issue in all rooms, but it was certainly a drawback in my experience. Addressing this could significantly enhance the comfort and practicality of the rooms.

The room was very clean and quiet and I found it very comfortable and well lit, with a kettle, fridge and hair dryer included. The hotel is very conveniently placed within walking distance of local shops and other amenities and is also within walking distance of Chester city centre. I also enjoyed the Buffet style breakfast. The staff were very courteous and helpfull There is a reasonable amount of car parking and the carpark at the adjacent Chester House may also be used if all bays at the Chester Court are occupied.

The room, while being very comfortable was a bit on the small side, however as I was on my own this was not a major issue.

My single room was not too small and had everything I could need. The immaculate en-suite shower room looked recently updated and worked smoothly with the quality toiletries provided. The hospitality tray was the most generous I have seen, including decaff coffee, biscuits and crisps. The wardrobe contained both a large fan which was quiet in operation, and a small fridge. The large Panasonic TV was excellent, and if that wasn't enough, the included wifi was good enough to smoothly stream videos on my tablet. And if you remember those little chocolates they used to put on your bed on cruise ships, they even have those here. Breakfast had every option available, and the croissant was so good I did not open the preserves. Chester railway station is only ten minutes walk away.

It was disconcerting to book the "Chester Court Hotel" and receive a reservation for "Chester House". In fact, the two buildings are next to each other and run as one business, so nothing to worry about, but it would be less confusing initially if they traded under one name.

Lovely little place to stay if you're visiting Chester for a weekend. Laura was lovely and steered us right on the travel options and best restaurants to visit in the immediate area when we checked in. Location-wise it's actually over the bridge in Hoole, but only about a 15-20min walk to city centre with regular bus service if you don't fancy the walk. Room was suitably equipped with ensuite bathroom, tea & coffee facilities, free wifi, USB charging points in the wall sockets for your phone (not every hotel thinks of this, so nice to see them). Bed was uber-comfy too, it was a struggle to find the impetus to get up out of it in the morning! Breakfast was lovely... a range of full English or continental or cereal options, fresh juice, coffee, tea, etc. Would happily go back here next time we're in the area.

The location was good, a reasonable amount of places to eat and shop within a couple of hundred metres. The main city of Chester was only a 30 minute walk away, so we could leave the car and explore without the worry of parking etc.

As vegetarians, we found the cooked breakfast limited. Eggs fried or scrambled, tasteless sausages, and beans was all there was until Saturday, when tomatoes and mushrooms were added. Reception wasn't always manned, we were asked by a couple of guests "Where is the dining room?" as there was nobody on reception to ask, and no information in the rooms. The dining room was pleasant, but in another building, so not easy for the first morning. "More information in rooms please"

Very friendly staff from when I arrived to check out. The room was clean and tidy and nice you h having biscuits, hot chocolate and chocolate on the pillow. The breakfast staff were very busy but still took time to greet me, show me to my table and take my drinks order. Plenty of food hot and cold. I did not have time for eggs with my breakfast as they were cooked to order but that's my fault as I had to leave at a certain time. Parking was easy.

What didn't I like - had to force myself to eat the complimentary crisps, biscuits, chocolate and have a hot chocolate night cap whilst watching a movie on the large tv. Nothing else.

We were very happy with this hotel. Everything was great - from the exceptional level of cleanliness to many lovely touches: little chocolate on the pillow, generous toiletries, extra soft and fluffy towels, plentiful little milk portions for the morning coffee (made my husband's morning :) The hotel is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The room we stayed in (room 4) is a good size, quiet, with a very comfortable bed and a beautiful on-suite bathroom. There is space downstairs (lounge) to relax. The breakfast area was in the second building (the hotel occupies two buildings with a free car park in the middle), which was a few steps away. Again, the dining room was spotlessly clean, well appointed and cozy. Breakfast was amazing - fully cooked delicious English Breakfast as well as selection of fruit, juices, pasties, yogurts, cereal, even including a platter of cold meats and cheese. The staff members we encounter were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything was done very swiftly and with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel, it's a great location for the Chester City center, within an easy walking distance (15 mins), great value for money and a very pleasant stay.

We spent one night at the Chester Court Hotel and our room was so much better than in the picture! It appeared to have been freshly renovated and was really clean and offered all the amenities we needed. The member of staff that served us on arrival was lovely as well as the staff members that we had liaised with when we first made our booking as we had made an error with our booking and when we contacted them directly they were more than happy to accommodate the change we needed to make. The location was a bit further away from town than we had anticipated however we were still able to walk into town and find something to eat for dinner as unfortunately the onsite restaurant was closed for renovations.

We had breakfast included in our stay and whilst the dining area was set up really nicely and the food all looked like it would be delicious we had a member of the wait staff present on the day we stayed coughing away as she brought food out to the tables, initially we thought that she may have just had a slight cough due to choking on something, but her coughing and sniffling continued as she prepared our coffee - this meant that ultimately we did not actually eat our breakfast as we were in the middle of our trip and not keen on getting sick. It was a shame that post covid there wasn't better hygiene practices on the morning of our breakfast.

I booked my overnight stay at the Chester Court Hotel before lecturing at the University the following day. My booking was only a couple of days ahead of my trip, and the proximity to the University a short drive away, was a factor in my choice. I have to report this is a very high quality establishment, comprising two adjacent large Edwardian(?) houses on the Hoole road. The accommodation was so much much better than the price suggested. The room was superb, and very highly spec'ed with all the things you need; ample free toiletries, tea making, bottled water, snacks and biscuits, and a large TV. The ensuite shower/toilet room was large, and everything was beautifully prepared with care, from the towels and curtains to the cushions on the bed, and not a spot of dust or wear anywhere in my room - No 4. I had to leave early before the buffet style breakfast was officially open, but the staff were terrific and helpful and I went away having eaten a good breakfast as others were arriving. Nothing was too much trouble and I recommend this hotel and it's staff heartily.

Fantastically clean hotel, great facilities, a great location, and excellent value for money. Breakfast had fabulous choices and catered for all tastes. The hotel had some quirky decor and finishing touches we thought were exceptional. The majority of staff were friendly, helpful, and professional.

Unfortunately, the two front of house staff we met in the dining room were unwelcoming and rude on both mornings of our stay. However, this did not detract from an otherwise great stay at this lovely hotel.
