Zoo Cottage

Loved the property. Ideal for visiting the zoo. And various attractions in the near by area. The house was peaceful and very well kept. Great kitchen to cook and lovely dining room to eat in.

Being told to be quiet before I got there and it being reiterated in the documents left in the house. I get that some guests in the past may have been an issue but not all of us are inconsiderate. We were looking for a quiet place to use as a base while we visited attractions. The next door neighbours were loud. We are quiet anyway. Just tone that down a touch and would be perfect. In closing I would stay again the house and the garden was lovely. Just didn’t like the tone of quiet.

We had a fantastic stay at Zoo Cottage. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 Children and the accommodation was perfect for our needs. We wanted to be close enough to get into the Centre and far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. We also had to pick my son up from Chester main station and this was just a few minutes drive away. Chirs is a pleasant host who was very attentive.

Nothing to report here! Everything we needed was supplied in the property. There was even added touches, such as low level lighting in the bathrooms and on the landing which was great in the evening.

We travelled with our 2 year old . Chris the host was great . He checked in with us to check everything was ok. As we stayed for 2 nights , we also received a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely touch. Staying in the cottage was so much easier than a hotel with a 2 year old as there was plenty of space including a lovely garden area. The zoo was actually within walking distance or just a couple minutes drive in the car . Chester anc Cheshire oaks were both just 10 minutes drive away. We have recommended Zoo cottage to our friends with little ones who are interested in traveling down to Chester . We would highly recommend Zoo cottage and will definitely stay again .

A very good location. Very close to the Chester Zoo, to the City and to a good Indian Restaurant and other amenities. The property is so cosy, very clean and comfortable. A really pleasant stay and is highly recommended to those who are looking for a practical, convenient and comfortable property. The owners are superb and very accommodating. Excellent communication. This property is all about the location it's brilliant, 10 minutes drive to Chester town centre or to cheshire oaks, 2 minutes to Chester zoo and 10 minutes walk to a nice friendly pub with good food .great base to go exploring from. Would definitely consider using again if staying in and around cheshire. Host is super easy to get hold of and answers any questions very quickly.

Zoo Cottage is in a great location we drove to the train station to get the train to Liverpool. Just across the main road is shop which you could get most things and a bakery was inside as well. Chis was very easy to deal with throughout the booking process and giving us instructions on how to enter the property etc. The house had everything we needed including a nice outdoor area where we could sit on a nice day. Beds were comfortable and the area was quiet, the bathroom was good with a powerful shower and a toilet, plus there is a toilet downstairs which was really handy.

There was nothing we didn't like about this property.

The property was spotless. It was lovely and warm when we arrived after a day in the rain! The instructions from the host were easy to follow. Beds were comfy, the property was spacious, the garden area was idyllic despite the weather, the kitchen well equipped, and you can't help but feel at home. We loved the bathroom. We don't get to go away often, so when we do, we always hope a getaway will be as close to perfect as possible. And this was. Thank you!

There was literally nothing that we didn't like.

We arrived and from the outside, we were pleased, however as soon as we opened the door, WOW. What a place, spotless, welcoming and as stated by our 6 year old Grandson - "Fab-U-Los". Every room is well decorated, has everything you would need or want. The bedrooms are fantastic, our Grandson's said their favourite part was the bunk beds :-). I loved the lounge, however be warned the seats are so comfy, you may nod off. The kitchen has everything you need and more and the garden is so useful. The neighbours are friendly and welcoming as is the local area. We took the car, but is walking distance to the zoo. We also visited the local area, the town centre is great.

The location was perfect for the zoo and within walking distance which is why we chose zoo cottage to spend some time together for christmas. The place was beautifully decorated for christmas ,including a tree,and well presented along with chocolates. Chris couldn't do enough for us.

Nothing really to complain about , maybe a bit more of a freezer might have been handy for some of the food ,especially as in summertime peeps may feel the need for ice cream.

Zoo Cottage was a real home from home. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped for self-catering. Toilet rolls, bed linen and towels were provided. All bedrooms have their own TVs as well as one in the living room and dining room.

Nothing. It was great. The host was also in contact and happy to put any issues right straight away.
