Booked the Lamb Inn for my wife's birthday treat. The room was in an annex joined to the pub. It was quite spacious with a large comfortable bed, nice shower and bathroom. The evening meal was lovely (certainly got brownie points there). The meal choices were not the usual fare. I had a very tasty triple fish meal comprising of tuna steak, prawns & fishcake whilst my wife enjoyed a loved Lamb dish, cooked to perfection. The wine list was extensive with some less recognisable choices. We enjoyed a very palatable Lebanese wine. Breakfast the following morning was excellent and again cooked to perfection. Several highlights of the Peak district are close by.

No wi-fi in the rooms (only in the pub), although we were informed this will be addressed this year. Everything else was fine.

Simply the nicest traditional pub we have stayed in. Fiona, who owns the pub, and her daughter Charlotte were great hosts - friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. The chef (Elvis) produced delicious food. We wanted to try everything on the menu. Good wine list and draught beer too. Well appointed bedrooms and very nice public spaces with a log fire on the chillier days. Great views from the footpath beside the pub of the surrounding countryside. A lovely, relaxing stay. Would love to return.

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional, both breakfast and dinner. The room had lovely little touches like a toothbrush, bottle of water and large coffee mugs which is rare to see. The facilities were very good. The room also had lots of information about the local area and the walks which we took advantage of. Fiona the owner gave us some prosecco and snacks in an ice bucket for valentines which was lovely, she was so warm and made us feel like part of the family. I cannot recommend this place enough, we had a great time.

Beautiful rural Inn, great location. The ambience and character of the Inn is delightful, with log fires and intimate feel of a bygone age . All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was big, clean and well presented . The bed was so comfortable . Equally the bathroom was spacious with a great shower. Loved the small touches provided within the room too. Breakfast was excellent 👌 with high standard produce used and a good selection of cereals, yoghurts , jams etc . Would definitely stay again ! Well done Team Lamb Inn !

Beautiful, well kept retreat for New Years Eve. Extremely friendly from arriving to leaving and that was all of the team. Food excellent, both dinner and breakfast, service excellent and room was great. Everything in the room was well thought out and it was hard to find anything that was missing. High quality furniture and a very comfy bed. Will definitely be going back, any break is good, but this was exceptional - well done team.

Hey, hard to find anything, but just a couple of things (they no way had an impact on a wonderful stay, and how I've rated The Lamb Inn), it would have been great to have fresh milk instead of UHT cartons for my cup of tea in the morning and the kettle wasn't great quality - it certainly didn't match the quality of everything else.

Just come back from a lovely weekend spent at the Lamb Inn in Chinley. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Lovely friendly, happy staff. Dave and Fiona go that extra mile to make their guests feel welcome. The rooms are high quality finish, very clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The food was exceptional, good quality products. We would recommend the steak burger. With the lovely ambiance of the pub, restaurant and the good quality food we ended up having all our meals there. We are now planning our next visit

The location was just what we wanted not to far from chinley itself. The accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were all absolutely fantastic and attentive. Tina and Tom were very friendly and chatty and the other girls were always busy but smiling. The owners Fiona and Steve ( Mr grumpy ) lol and daughter Charlotte were brilliant and very welcoming The drink selection and food choices were 10/10. The meals we had were gorgeous. We highly recommend The lamb inn and we will be back in the new year Thank you Lamb inn it was a pleasure.

We didn't stay long enough. We didn't try more of the menu. Should of tried more of the refreshments on offer.

This is the most beautiful country pub, real traditional features, cosy and comfortable. The restaurant food was exceptional and the room was fantastic. An incredibly comfortable bed and great facilities - even straighteners! What really set the Lamb Inn apart though were it’s staff. So, so friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. They are an absolute asset to The Lamb Inn and they really made our stay perfect.

A lovely Inn conveniently located in a beautiful part of the Peak District. The room was simple but very comfy and inviting with a lovely en-suite shower room. The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were fantastic and genuinely friendly and attentive, in particular the young lad who waited our table for our evening meal. The cooked breakfast in the morning was also delicious. My partner and I stayed for two nights and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Would definitely stay again for another visit to the Peak District.

There was nothing that I would say I didn’t like. If I was going to be super picky, the continental element of the breakfast could be a bit more varied (but that is being super picky).

Breakfast was excellent; room was great; nice location; beautiful building; and, central to sites and activities. Dinner was fantastic.

Was closer to the road than expected, but not a major issue. Table was set up for smokers outside our room, with all ventilation in hot weather through windows opening on to the table - unfortunately we had a smoker using it from next room on first night. As non/smokers this was unpleasant as we would have been too hot with the window closed. Would have been useful to have maps of local walks available behind bar as any copies in room documentation had been removed.
