Location was perfect, half an hour away from Silverstone Circuit for the British MotoGP. Our welcome was very friendly, we were booked in and shown to our room by Matthew. Our room was spacious and very clean, the ensuite shower room was huge and again, very clean. They had a South African themed Braai (BBQ) on the Saturday night which we had and it was delicious, along with live music by "Dangerous Derrick" and we were made very welcome by the locals, we had a fab night. All the bar staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn't want breakfast the Sunday morning as we were leaving early to get to the circuit so Matthew organized a breakfast box for both of us which was much appreciated (ham & cheese sandwich, pack of crisps, carton of juice and a flapjack bar) that was left in the residents fridge, with our room number on. We had dinner on Sunday night, which once again, was lovely. Service was good and wide choice of wines available. We both had the full English Breakfast on Monday morning which was delicious, good quality bacon, sausage and black pudding. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Wheatsheaf, we wouldn't hesitate to go back if we are visiting the area again.

Nothing in our opinion, we really enjoyed our stay at the Wheatsheaf.

The rooms have been very well thought out and are exceptionally clean and comfortable with everything needed for a short stay. The free fresh coffee was a bonus and available 24/7. The breakfast was good with a good and different variety on the menu.

With only one waitress on duty on the Saturday morning the wait time to be served was overly long. This may be due to the 9am start time and a number of guests arriving at that time. However, once served the service was good.

We stayed here overnight after attending a family funeral. The reception staff we’re extremely helpful in allowing us to have one of our rooms early so we could get changed and freshen up after travelling up in the morning. The food in the restaurant was tasty and all the staff we interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful.

Some of the group said the bed and pillows were too soft but others were very comfy- so just personal preference. Some of the mugs in the room were heavily stained which was slightly off putting. We were also woken up at 6:15 in the morning due to a food delivery being made to the pub. We understand this is not to Wheatsheafs fault directly, but was not a great start to the day and hope this can be passed onto the delivery company to maybe be more considerate to guests. We also didn’t enjoy the extremely heavy metal music blaring from the kitchen whilst eating breakfast in the morning.

Location very good, breakfast was lovely, rooms a ok size .. asked for ground floor and they were able to give us one. Ideal hot drinks machine as you enter the property..free of charge, kettle in the room with tea & coffee. No hairdryer but if needed they will supply one.

Walk in shower could do with a slightly higher lip as water pooled on the floor where you get out. Not a major problem but think it could get noisy when people enter and leave their rooms as hallway does echo . Couldn't connect to WiFi for some reason ?

Food was excellent. Everything was spotlessly clean and staff very accommodating.

There are steps leading down from room 10 that lead to the bar but the door at the bottom is locked meaning you have to walk along the landing, down the stairs, out the back entrance, across the car park, back in to the pub, through the restaurant and round the corner to get to the bar. Seems unnecessary.....unlock the door lol

The room was great, shower exceptional Bar staff were lovely, beer was good 👍

I was really looking forward to my full English, taste buds tingling, you know that feeling. We travel the country weekends and week days, breakfast has been between 8-10 wk ends 7-10 wk days The box sandwich was tasty, but not an English. Need this info prior to booking, it would've made a difference.

Comfortable room. Good sized en suite (but with a surprisingly small shower given the size of the room) Restaurant very good with a good selection of dishes on the menu.

Very steep stairs up to the rooms. Upstairs corridors smelled of cooking oil (but no smell in the room). No motion sensor light in the corridor leading to the rooms.

The breakfast was delicious and the bacon the best I have ever had. We had a meal on the evening we arrived and the food was excellent we would definitely come and eat here again on our travels.

The ensuite bathroom was looking a little tired and could do with touching up the grout here and there but it was very clean.

An attractive pub and village. The room and bathroom facilities were good, and staff members were helpful. A good place to spend the night in a busy region.

Coming from the north, I had to take a roundabout route through Rugby to reach the village of Crick.
