Beautiful period house which the owners invested to a very high degree. The gardens were beautiful but as it was extremely cold we didn’t explore very far. We must come again in the warmer months. Must admit you did get the feeling of being the Lady of the manor.

We do have to admit the Orangery restaurant was very cold one evening but again it was outside too. The staff did their best by bring out the heaters which helped a little. Unfortunately one morning there was a lot of very heavy rain and the restaurant roof leaked. The staff again did their best and made sure we were not in line with the drips. Please don’t let this put you off, the view was beautiful and the food was excellent.

We liked the cheerfulness/politeness of nearly all of the staff who looked after us very well all across the board Wonderful .The hotel was so clean and comfortable My sister and I were desperate for a rest and we got one .

Breakfast on our last day was poor.We ordered bacon tomato and mushroom .We got 1/2 rasher of bacon 1/2 tomato and an undercooked mushroom Very poor .One miserable server at 4 breakfasts does not start the day off well .And one evening we had two unsmiling male staff

Breakfast was served in the fabulous orangery. Plenty of choice on the continental table followed by a sumptuous avocado crushed on sough dough bread topped with a generous portion of smoked salmon and a poached egg. Morning 2 both the full English & Vegetarian Full English were chosen as the hot option and neither disappointed. Housekeeping was astonishing. Even our toothpaste was lined up, facing the front! Reception couldn't have been more helpful, indeed all staff made us so welcome. we will be back!

The hotel felt fresh and newly refurbished, spotless bathrooms, comfortable bed and pillows….staff lovely Lovely location, very restful , u could feel the history

The menu was good and different but not quite hitting the mark, veg too crunchy, scallop fish pancetta under cooked , it’s a shame a bit more time in preparing would have been great dishes.

A lovely restored victorian building set in fabulous grounds. Good public areas and for the most part very nice staff.

The fact that you weren't allowed to use laptops or other devices in the public area. The hotel should make this clear in their website. Many of us use kindles or laptops simply to read books or newspapers. A prohibition on electronic devices is a significant issue. The staff mostly made no comment if devices were used but some of the older guests were not happy about seeing devices used. Also the website advertised massages etc but when we checked in found that none were available.

Beautifully restored building and grounds. All built around great service, with engaging and friendly staff. Garden rooms well appointed with quality products and both room service meals and breakfast were excellent. Great setting overlooking manicured meadows with a large terrace to take in the views and relax.

We went for a Christmas Buble show, I chose this hotel as the website said they loved Christmas. They weren't wrong!! As soon as we turned into the drive there was a beautiful big Xmas tree and there were 2 more before we got to the hotel. There was a lit arch from the car park and beautiful decorations outside the doors and everywhere inside that you looked. Such time and care had gone into making the place look beautiful, it was all very classy. The room was spacious and well appointed, immaculately clean and the fixtures and bedding were all top quality. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The grounds looked beautiful and well kept but as the day we were there was misty we didn't get to enjoy them fully. I would definitely like to return to the hotel, which was easily accessed off the M1.

The food we had was good but not amazing, no beans with the breakfast but maybe that's being a bit picky. There didn't appear to be a designated bar for residents, maybe as there was a private party going on plus the Buble show being prepped. We did find someone who served us drinks however and had a lovely relaxing sit in one of the many lounge areas with a real fire.

lovely room, we liked that our beds were turned, decor was elegant and nice. Some staff were delightful, others were a bit haughty or may be somewhat afraid of the boss. Food was excellent and grounds very nice.

Restaurant staff seemed a bit stiff and fearful at times

My room was wonderful, it’s so beautiful. Garden views are stunning. It’s quiet and serene, just perfect. Breakfast was lovely as usual. From the lovely staff, layout, quality and variety of food on offer. Served in the Orangery with beautiful surroundings, just couldn’t be any better. That’s why I love staying at Kilworth.

Nothing, it’s perfect as it is for me. I wouldn’t change a thing.
