Recently stayed in a different hotel not to far away and was very unhappy so picking the Hilton was a great choice, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the services were excellent and the bed was so comfortable.

The bath/shower area doesn't really work for people that are slightly larger and I found it a bit tight to move around comfortably. I appreciate that this is hard to cater for. Also why don't hotels provide toilet brushes, why would someone want to leave the toilet for the cleaner to deal with.

On this trip I actually fell ill and the staff went over and above to help me. Also my husband had left some clothes on his last trip which again the staff went over and above to take care of until my arrival 3 months later. Truly an exceptional level of staff through out this Hilton. Everyone goes out of their way to say hello and they all seem happy. Praise must go to who recruits and uplifts the staff as it is appreciated especially as I travel international a great deal and stay in a lot of hotels. This hotel may not be 5 star but the service and the extra lengths they go to is worthy of it. A hidden oasis in Croydon.

Would love the carpets in the hallways up dated as everything else feels fresh and new.

Staff were extremely pleasant at breakfast and when we had dinner at the restaurant. They couldn't have been more helpful.

My parents were asked if they would like an accessible room (my mother is disabled and this was not provided as a room option on the booking.com site) we were then allocated an 'accessible room' however this room was further away from the lifts, and had no additional accessible features. In fact it was the same as the standard room I had been allocated including with a small step up into the bathroom and without any additional hand holds or a walk in shower etc. The lift required you to use your door card before it would take you anywhere.. this suggested that security was an issue. The automatic disabled door at the front of the building did not work and was not fixed during the 2 days we stayed. The issue was noted by staff.

Everything is amazing ,very clean,gorgeous range of breakfast and dinner ,staff very polite and nice ,very amazing hotel as it should be ,expensive but worth it

The only problem was that was freezing in the room and when I called they couldn’t do anything about it because the whole hotel rooms been set up at maximum 21 which wasn’t enough for how large was the room ,been so cold the whole night ..they shouldn’t set up summer mode the temperature starting with September ,it should be winter ,Other than that everything perfect

The room was very clean , could tell that it was a new hotel. Perfect location if you need to be in croydon otherwise not sure why you would be staying there. Fab hotel and smooth check in.

No water in the room if you're not staying more than a night - think that is very cheap. Very expensive to park on site which sucks considering most people drive to hotels and have luggage. Wouldn't want to do street parking in such an unknown area.

Staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. As a solo female traveller I felt well cared for . Bed was extremely comfortable . Got a bit lost in the giant feather pillows but not a critisicm. Breakfast room staff were very good and choice of breakfast was brilliant.

Think that the evening staff in the bar could have been better. They didn't seem to know whether to serve at table or the bar. Food was adequate . Slightgly limited choice. I had the Duck salad. It was a small portion. Enough for me but served on a small plate so didn't feel like an evening meal. I don't remember reading about the extra £15 a night for parking that I had to pay. Bit expensive for a hotel guest parking I thought.

Comfortable good sized room - friendly and helpful staff. The onsite restaurant was good value and great food.

The habit of always charging my credit card (with different company names on the SMS messages, depending on whether booking food, or the spa). The charge for the spa was ridiculously expensive (and not highlighted to me), but fortunately cancelled when one of those strange SMS came through with an odd name on it and I questioned with reception what it related to (£90 for solo sauna - when I thought it was going to be free!).

room was spotless and comfortable. However the coffee and tea facility was awkward to use as it was tucked under a unit

we were visiting our daughter, she had our first grandchild a few days earlier and so on the Saturday we chose to take an early night as we had been on the go all day and said we would watch TV in bed. Unfortunately we could not hear the TV as there was a function that played ridiculously loud house music and continued to 11 pm. No problem with a function or wedding etc but the sound proofing was not good so spoilt the night.

The hotel is in a great location, good/safe parking. We stayed here on our wedding night and spoke to Nadir to see if anything special could be planned, he was absolutely fantastic!!! When we walked into our room we had red flower petals and towel swans displayed on our bed! He also upgraded our room and provided free additional beverages. It was a lovely surprise and we're extremely grateful for his kind gesture, it made our stay a memorable one! We definitely will be returning! Nadir, we can't thank you enough!

Absolutely no dislikes

This was our second visit after Hilton dealing with our feedback very well. This experience was perfect for our anniversary, they went above and beyond to make sure this time we felt looked after, this time we used the bar area and breakfast facilities and they were lovely, and the decor and service was to a very high standard. Each employee acknowledged us and make sure we had everything we needed. The room was an upgrade from the previous time, and it was a really beautiful room, spacious and cool. The team at Hilton also went above and beyond with our requests, and they decorated the room free of charge for our anniversary and I thought this was a very nice touch. It’s the little things. The reception lady was very helpful when I wanted to pay extra to upgrade our room on the last night, and the hotel itself is close enough to restaurants, train stations, shops to walk, so you don’t need a car. However we did bring our car, and the parking area was good and under shelter. We also had breakfast, and the variety is great and caters to everyone. Overall very pleased with our stay, and we had the perfect time away for our anniversary.
