Comfortable beds. Adequate breakfast. The road noise wasn't as bad as we had expected from previous reviews. Closest hotel to where we needed to be over the weekend that accommodated our dog. The price was fair for the location.

Met in the carpark by an abandoned car with 4 flat tyres, not a heartwarming first impression. Unable to do minor additions on the cooked element of breakfast (all we asked for was a spoonful of beans with the Eggs Benedict and were flatly refused). Threadbare carpets throughout. Gutter/downspout leaking during a rain shower outside our room. Honesty of the description. It's a bar/restaurant with rooms, a boutique hotel this is not!

Bigger than average rooms nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was very good and we were allowed to have both breakfast and dinner with our dog in the hotels restaurant although not sitted in the main restaurant area rather than by the entrance of it where the bar was - still indoors and very nice.

Could have taken care a bit more of the garden outside and use the sitting area more - since dogs are not allowed in the main restaurant the outside sitting area would work greatly for people with pets especially in summer

Overall, an excellent hotel - Spacious, well appointed rooms; Clean and Comfortable; Good size bathroom; Good WiFi; Nice lounge; Ample free parking; Complimentary Tea/Coffee/Water; Iron etc etc. Staff were friendly and helpful - You'd have to be nitpicking to find fault!

Central heating was not working, but a fan heater was provided - Too dry for me! Good size bathroom but nowhere to hang anything! Due to low occupancy, there was no buffet breakfast - So the choice was limited! Rates need to be a tiny bit lower Make sure you book room with "breakfast included" - Very expensive if you don't! A little remote, not much nearby

Hotel room was lovely. Shower head / hose broken so flopped down, although water pressure & temperature were fantastic. Because we had a dog, we had to eat dinner & breakfast in the small bar area rather than restaurant but that was fine. Dinner (fish & chips, spicy lamb burger) were delicious.

Breakfast was OK, but no pot of tea, had to self serve from a flask with teabags left in. We were first so it was reasonably fresh, but would be stewed for later guests. Table not cleaned from night before (we were at same table & noticed salt still there). No butter & jam on our table as there was on the restaurant tables. Had to ask for it & toast.

The hotel staff were so amazing; they helped with a very odd special request from my partner and loved how they went with it! They were super hospitable and let us check in earlier, even after the ridiculous special request. Room was cosy and clean, and the whole hotel was tastefully decorated.

The only complaint would be the egg wasn’t runny at breakfast. But that’s reaching, as it was still delicious.

Beautifully located just outside of Didcot is this nice and quaint hotel. The food is great (mostly Indian style food) and the breakfast has good choice. I loved the surroundings, just looking out on the fields and the room was large and comfortable. The bathroom is nice as well and the Wifi works great. There is free parking and it is also easy to get a taxi from the station here. The staff was super friendly and as I couldn't get a taxi in the morning, the receptionist himself took me to the Diamond Lightsource which was so nice!

It is very hard to get anywhere if you do not have a car yourself, and difficult to arrange a taxi in rush hour in the morning.

We recognise these are difficult times for this industry. We had a friendly welcome, good room and facilities. Breakfast and accommodation were of a good quality and represented good value for money.

It would have been nice, to have had smart TV facilities, to internet defendant services iPlayer, Amazon video, catch-up TV etc. NB: Unfortunately, you can hear 24 hours traffic noise, if you are a light sleeper, reception can offer ear plugs.

Everything, the shower was amazing, hot, powerful and luxurious toiletries. The food for dinner was so delicious and hearty. We felt safe leaving our car full of stuff as the grounds are covered by cctv. The staff were very helpful with local walking recommendations for our pup as well as dining both dinner and a yummy breakfast. Room was very clean with pillow choices and easy touch lamps.

Wish the windows in room opened, but we like to sleep cold.

Kingswell Hotel is a nice place to stay, clean rooms, friendly staff and great food. You never quite know what the hotel is going to be like when you book on booking.com, I have stayed at a lot of places in the UK and I will be staying here next time I am in the area.

Not a lot not to like, the only things I would say is, when it's really cold outside put the heating up, light the fires! It was quiet when I stayed but it could have done with more staff.

Location was very good for our visit to family in Didcot. Our room was comfortable and clean. Lovely shower, powerful and easy to control. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice of hot and cold food.

We booked 2 rooms, one superior double and one standard double. When checking in we asked which room was which and we were told by the young lady that she didn’t know but thought they were both the same. My husband and I took the bigger room but it was very warm, it was a very warm day outside, but there was a fan which worked well to cool the room. Facilities in our room were disappointing, we had a very nice coffee machine but unfortunately there were no coffee pods to use in it and we didn’t have a kettle. We asked at reception for some coffee pods, which the girl gave us but unfortunately they didn’t fit in the machine as they were the wrong ones. We had to then ask for a kettle before we could even have a hot drink.
