The location close to the centre is very good with off road parking at the location. Check in was very easy and the room was lovely. Smelt so fresh and was so clean and had everything you needed for our stay. The private bathroom again was very clean and fresh and was of a good size with a bath and stand alone shower. The bed was massive and very comfy meaning a good nights sleep. We ordered breakfast for the following morning and this came freshley cooked with very good produce. If you stay have the breakfast as it is well worth it. The owner is a lovely lady who is very friendly. I would have expected to have paid more for the B&B as it is so nice. Very good value !!

Lovely place to stay. Very quiet and the place was immaculate. Super clean and the fridge was an added bonus! Definitely would recommend staying here. Freda was lovely & communication over the stay was great! She even opened up the breakfast room for us as we had to leave earlier than the breakfast sittings so we could get some cereal. There isnt anything at all I could say regarding The Huntingdon that can fault this lovely place for a holiday break, however we were there on business and the wifi wasnt too great in the suite we stayed in but this is in no way a negative at all and would most definitely be booking for next year! There is nothing we can say at all to fault The Huntingdon or the lovely owners.

We had a lovely stay at the Huntingdon. The room was lovely, very warm and comfortable and immaculately clean. We got a warm welcome from our host and felt very relaxed and at home. I liked that our room on the ground floor was so easy to access from the car park and no stairs to carry our case up! We requested our breakfast the night before and were very pleased to get exactly what we wanted at the time requested. The hotel is very close to the railway station and just a short walk into the town centre. I was grateful to our host for recommending a nice and very reasonable place to eat. I would like to stay here again.

No complaints from us!

Good location opposite the train station, private parking, clearly the owners have a lot of pride in their business because it was immaculate furthermore they are putting a lot of money back into it as both the outside seating area and the interior decor were fresh, clean and contemporary. I didn’t get to try the breakfast so can’t comment on that.

The one very minor thing was the 10am check out time, which probably doesn’t matter to most people however we had been on a social night so later would have been better. That being said I never asked if I could have paid extra for a later check out, so possibly that option is available

This is a beautiful old property in a quiet location but within walking distance of shops, bars, theatre etc. I absolutely loved the modern decor - soft shades of grey and beige which complimented the building well. I loved one of the mirrors in my room so much, I ordered one online and collected it on our way home the following day! The bed was huge, 2 Queen size beds joined together and it was lovely and comfy. Hubby and I both had a good nights sleep and didn't hear any outside noise at all. There was a good selection for breakfast both hot and cold. When we visit Dumfries again we will definitely stay here and we'd come by train instead of driving as the property is close to the station.

Perhaps a small box of paper tissues in the room?

We booked the Huntington as a stopover on our way home after our NC500 trip. We stayed in the Annexe which could only be described as exceptional. The breakfast in the morning was very good and excellent value for the £7:50 additional cost, plenty of choice to eat. If we do look to book a holiday in that area then this property would be a perfect base to explore from. Excellent value for money and owners who care about providing very good and comfortable facilities.

Came for a weekend away with my 4 year old son. Made to feel welcome from the start! Lovely lady who runs it, gave advice about the best places to go for the day, which she was right about! She even gave my son some toys to play with! Room beautiful and clean, food gorgeous, staff friendly! Can't fault it, lovely little family run B&B. Will definitely stay again!

Stayed for only one night but we were very impressed. The house was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Room had everything one could need. Easy location to walk into the town. Sadly we had to leave very early so we’re not able to stay for breakfast but would have loved to see the breakfast as everything else about the house was great.

A nice room and bathroom with welcome chocolate, coffee and sweets. B&B with a private parking. Quiet location. Very close tot city center (walking distance). Use of a micro wave.

This is a self check inn B&B so you need to check your mails to enter the builing and the room to get the pin code. Couldn't find the key to the room because key card was forgotten inside the closed room. Had to ring the owner who answered the call immediatly and offered help.
