Breakfast is good. The coffee could be a little stronger. Also, it would be nice if kippers, smoked haddock or fish kedgeree were sometimes offered for breakfast. I love the swimming pool and steam room. We also like the cosy bar and the advice about local whiskies that Matthew provided.

My room was rather hot. It would be useful to have 2 keys for a double room. Douglas gave us good advice for the evening location nearby and was very helpful with our boarding pass printing. It was helpful to have the taxi to Glasgow International airport arranged and it all went smoothly. Thank you Cairndale staff!

Breakfast was lovely

The staff, the leisure facilities, the location,the art deco decor, the bar, the food, especially dinner.

No grab bars in the shower in a room that was not designated as accessible.

After an initial confusion about the rooms we were offered which were not quite as standard (the hotel is udergoing refurbishment) the hotel made amneds by upgrading myself and my colleagues and also offered an uneccesary but very welcome complimentray bottle of wione with dinner on the first night. A good hotel can always be judged on how it handles complaints or concerns and we cannot fault theIir customer service.

Initial room issue was a shame but it was brilliantly sorted out by excellent customer service

Our stay at the hotel was fabulous, staff were all very pleasant and sooo helpful.. Douglas on reception was exceptional was sooo accomodating and very helpful also.. We were upgraded to another room which was amazing.. Will definitely be back for another visit..

Hotel is a little dated but that does not stop it being an excellent choice. Location is brilliant just five minutes walk from the station and all Dumfries attractions are within walking distance. Breakfasts are excellent. The restaurant in the evening is very good value for money. Not a wide range of choice (A meat dish, fish dish and vegetarian) but what they have is well cooked and delicious

As it is an old house the floorboards are a bit creaky, maybe these could be looked as as we were woken quite early by the people above us getting out early for their golf!

Breakfast was very good. Staff very helpful. Leisure facilities were excellent. Very clean room, comfy bed. I would recommend the Cairndale hotel to friends and family as it was good value for money.

Nothing. It was a little bit dated bit still very nice stay over. Clean room and lounge facilities. The leisure facilities were excellent and well worth getting there a little bit earlier to spend time there.
