Caring host, big room for this price in the UK. Comfortable bed. Good location near the train station.

Thin walls, which isn't a problem if you don't have a person in the room next to yours who is playing foreign/religious songs/texts in the middle of the night. Didn't have a good night rest because of this.

Good value for money. Spotlessly clean. Near the train station. Amazing breakfast options. Friendly staff. Loved the cotton wool pads in the bathroom and shower gel and shampoo were lovely.

I'd put a non slip mat in the shower or a wooden slatted thing to stand on as it can be slippery when you get out.

What a gem ! loved every minute of my stay in this comfortable and friendly environment — a delicious full Scottish breakfast and delightful ambience will ensure my return — an easy around-the-corner walk from Dumfries station and central location to the town, Robert Burns trail and getting to know Moat Brae which opened on 1st June 2019 as an international visitor attraction and Scotland’s National Centre for Children’s Literature and Storytelling // the story of JM Barry and the creation of Peter Pan —

that I had to leave on a train bound back to Glasgow …

Very welcoming, friendly and helpful owner. Lovely breakfast. Clean room.

Despite being quite a large town, Dumfries seemed to have very few options to eat out in the evening (within walking distance of the B&B). Found a great place (The Hitching Post), which was not too far.

Had a nice family room at the front which gave us plenty of room for two dogs. Short walk into town and good walks for the dogs down the cycle route.

A bit dated, needs more secure doors and locks, could do with a hairdryer and fan as it was very hot during the night.

Excellent location, friendly host, good breakfast, excellent value for money. Allowed me to leave my car in guest house car space whilst we went sightseeing.

Rooms could do with an update, iffy b/band and television wasn't working.

Central location, Very friendly and helpful owner, comfortable stay, afforable , nice breakfast choices available. I would stay again if visiting the area.

Nothing i didnt like, enjoyed our stay, would only say for feedback that room could do with a freshen up decor wise.

Really friendly, warm welcome. Good value for money including full fry. Great location and lots of historical, interesting museums to visit. Nice staff in the museums. Perfect for a day's sightseeing. Recommend Kings Books and Cafe in Queensbury st.for excellent coffee and food.

Was really nice to have smoked kipper and scrambled egg breakfast option but could do with a bit more alongside. Full fry had much more on the plate. Tap in bathroom needed to be pushed down and turned to turn it off. Bedroom door made noise everytime there was a slight draft and sounded like door was opening.

Very friendly host, excellent breakfast (pity they don't do evening meals!) Spacious room, quiet at night, easy parking. No complaints whatsoever.

The town centre in the evening appeared to be deserted?
