For a single bed room, there was plenty of space and not cramped. bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom was very clean. Bar down stairs was well stocked and priced and lots of eating out options in the area including the venue itself. Easily accessible and close to the M1 etc

Mixer tap in the shower didn’t add cold water so water was extremely hot and not able to shower properly. I didn’t have time in the morning to sort anything else out as was leaving at 8am. they have a karaoke night on a Saturday, my room was right above where this was set up so if I wanted an early night, it would have been impossible due to noise. it didn’t affect me as I stayed in the bar until it finished but should be mentioned prior to accepting the booking or thought about on room allocation for guests

Really friendly accommodating staff, clean room with nice facilities and great location. They also had a full vegan cooked breakfast available which was great.

The lighting in my room was a little dark, but that could just have been my room but it was fine. There was no vegan milk available at breakfast, but I'm sure if I'd have mentioned it on check in there would have been some. But still a great little hotel.

Clean and everything I needed for the night. one member of staff went above and beyond with her attentive service and she made me feel very welcome. I had a great meal too.

I was woken up by large gangs of drunken people fighting around 01.30 am. They were not from the pub so not the pubs fault or problem but my sleep was interrupted.

Only had to ask if needed anything. Staff very friendly. Nice breakfast. However juice offered but no glasses. Only had to ask tho. Overall friendly and worth money

No drawers to put clothing etc away. Had to leave it in bag. Room 2 - shower door too close to sink struggled to get in and out of it and towels too high in bathroom. Had to get help to get them down. Shower VERY slippery. Difficult getting out of parking area. No disabled space.

Lovely quaint wee pub and very nice staff. Good location for Download festival.

Heat in the room was unbearable at times, even with a fan on constantly. It was also 27 degrees outside, to be fair, but if I stay again will definitely ask for another fan.

Comfortable well decorated and appointed room, good value drinks and food.

Close to a main road intersection so traffic noiise sometimes disturbing, also lots of noise from the nearby night venue on Friday night.

Was clean and the right location for where I wanted to be and the staff were really nice

The breakfast wasn't that good, the black pudding and hash brown was hard like it had been sat under a warmer for a while but other than that a pleasant stay

The room was very hot, although a fan was provided. No soap in the dispenser in the shower.

Although none of the heating was on the room was like an oven. It was extremely warm in the room. The window wouldn't stay open. I appreciate it was restricted opening but even that wouldn't stay open
