The room was big and has big windows where you can overlook the road. Beds were comfortable and cleaner always clean the room. Soaps were provided. Can leave bags before check-in and even after check-out which is really helpful when flight is still at night so we were able to go around still the city area. Bus stop is also near the area around 1 min walk towards city centre.

The room is a bit dim but tolerable and reception is not available even around 9am/10am so waited for the cleaner in order to raise our concern. But I am not sure if it is just because it was weekend.

reception and cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. The room was in the with a great skylight to see across the city - watched the Edinburgh tattoo firework display from here. Comfy beds and clean spacious bathroom with a great shower. There is a bus stop outside the hotel. Bus number 11 runs frequently and takes you right into the centre - cheap and great service.

the room was on 2nd floor - not a big issue but the last flight of stairs are steep and quite narrow with spiraled steps - wouldn't suit anyone with mobility problems. A mirror and additional plug socket in the bedroom would have been helpful but not a great issue.

Lovely little attic room. Could see the Edinburgh skyline, including the Tattoo fireworks over the castle!

Some of the other guests were a little noisy. Perhaps some gentle notices around the property such as "Thank you very much for remembering that that other guests might be sleeping" in several languages - as many as possible as it's really good to see a message in your own language. (We know that positive notices work much better than negative ones such as "Keep Quiet". Thank you again.

Very good location, walking distance to the trams and a starbucks. The bed was too hard for us but we discussed this with the proprietor and he got us extra duvets to put under the sheets which helped. We were also a bit cold so he put the heating up. Cannot fault the response to our requests. We would stay here again, the price reflects what is offered. Its dry, warm and somewhere to sleep. We have breakfast at Starbucks so didn't need it where we sleep.

Property is basic and tired with minimal facilities.

The member of staff on duty that night was courteous, friendly, helpful and understanding particularly as it was challenging for me supporting my sister. The rooms are lovely, clean and the bathrooms are nice. The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. The hotel itself is a lovely building and there is paid parking opposite which is not charged in the evening. It is quite well located so that it was quite easy to go out for a meal in the evening and didn’t take long to get to the airport parking in the morning. The hotel was quiet and there were blackout blinds ensuring a good night’s sleep. There was a lovely cleaning lady in the morning who was cheery and kind.

I phoned a couple of times before, staff were helpful but not as helpful as they could be. It’s a hotel for those who are quite independent and have already done their research. There’s no breakfast available at all which is ok but definitely useful to know. My room needed a small mirror in the bedroom as it was impossible to use a hairdryer or straighteners even with a very long lead. Sockets don’t have to be numerous but a small wall mirror would solve the problem.

Great location just off Leith Walk. We arrived at around 6pm and found nearby parking with no problem. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was fine and reception staff friendly. We had a basement room which was very quiet.

We weren’t unhappy with anything. It may be a bit dated in style but I’m only concerned about cleanliness and comfort in a room, not whether the wallpaper would look good on Instagram. We could t get the TV to work but that was likely down to us being clueless

The hotel was in good location. About a 10 min walk from the main shopping centre. You pay for what you get, cheap stay which is what we wanted. The radiators were turned on in the evening which made the room nice & warm for when you come back in the evening. There was a man on reception who was very friendly & helpful. We stayed in the family room which was huge & lots of room as well.

The front of house/ lobby area is in desperate need of a bit of modernisation. When we first landed to the hotel we were so put off by the lobby area, we almost booked another hotel just because the vibe was completely not what we were expecting. When we arrived the housekeeping staff weren’t very friendly, we didn’t know how to check in as there’s no main check - in area in the lobby so we were confused & staff weren’t too helpful.

We have been before & its ideal for us wouldn't suit everyone...10 mins outside city near to Leith Walk. We went into Leith on the tram to see the Royal Yacht ...theirs a little shop inside the shopping mall called the Little Shop of Memories & was fabulous.

We were on the 2nd floor stairs bit steep for me now...if we go back which we will @ some point perhaps the 1st floor would be best for me.

This accomodation really surpassed my expectations. I only spent a night here but everything about my experience was positive. My flight landed at night and I had excellent communication with the hotel arriving at 2200. The room was extremely comfortable and I appreciated the tea and coffee in the room. The beds were extremely comfortable and before I knew it it was time to check out. As this was a Saturday night I was expecting there to be alot of noise but I never heard a thing.

There was nothing not like about the hotel in fact I stay in Edinburgh two or three times a year and use various hotels. I will be making sure that I use this hotel from now on.

I didn't have breakfast

The TV could have been better. When I turned the TV on I got a picture which then started pixilating, then I lost the picture altogether. The maid came in and found out the wire had come out from the back of the TV. She did fix it, but didn't last long. You might have to get a new TV or a new aerial. The only other thing I could say is when you check in, maybe you could gave a little note with the WiFi password on it instead of asking reception.
