The Ocean Service Apartment we rented was immaculately clean when we arrived and was cleaned once more during our 10 day stay. The kitchen was well fitted out with essentials for cooking and cleaning. The washer/dryer was a lifesaver ( we did have to buy det/softener) Staff responded quickly to a request for an extra duvet. It was quiet and peaceful. While the location is a little further out from the city center, bus service ( we got rida cards) is very reliable and so clean and courteous. Travel time to city center was never more than 30 min and sometimes less. And the rides were a welcome rest for the feet and gave us a good idea of the city layout and streets we wanted to explore. Proximity (walking distance) to the local grocery was convenient. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 to stretch out and relax and eat meals together.

The doors Thst do not stay open was a minor annoyance. It was bothersome to have to buy a big box of laundry detergent and fabric softener since we knew we’d only do a couple of loads. Access to complementary laundry detergent sheets or on site purchase of those in a smaller size would have been nice. A mixing bowl would have come in handy.

The entire process was so streamlined and easy. This had to be rebooked for a later time due to exceptional circumstances and the company/staff couldn't have been more helpful. Apartment had everything and more that we required and secure parking. Easy transport in and out of the city. Property was peaceful and I could not find anything I didn't like. Full instructions to help use various appliances around the apartment and even a nightlight that converted to a torch was so helpful in the hallway between the rooms. Everything we needed was there and all the little extras. This property was more expensive than I would usually look at as we are usually happy with a clean cheap as possible bed with shower but although I paid a bit more it was completely justified as you don't just get a clean bed and bathroom here. All those extra things and so much space and the peacefulness of the accommodation and ease of the booking and checking in and out etc etc does justify it completely. I could write so much more about what was good but I try to keep it brief as possible. We will absolutely stay here again when visiting Edinburgh. It was brilliant.

The bedroom windows didn't have some sort of catch so we could leave them ajar at night and would be helpful but there was nothing that I didn't like. Was all great in my opinion

Very clean and tidy in a brilliant location, with parking. Within easy reach of the Newhaven tram stop for car-free access into Edinburgh. Staff were very helpful and actually let us check in to the apartment early as we were busting for the loo after a long drive! Apartment was clean and tidy in a nice quiet location with a great view overlooking the harbour with huge cruise liners visible through our living room window. Great stuff! Bed were soft and comfy. Tea/coffee facilities were present along with pots and pans for cooking a meal if you felt so inclined (we didn't!). I can highly recommend it. It's great for easy access into Edinburgh, and Newhaven itself is lovely.

Fantastic location, could view the sea at a distance from the room though it was a lower floor apartment. Apartment is spacious for a family of 4. Rooms and beds were comfortable. Little away from the city and there is a bust stop near by with scheduled services at specific hours. Taxis are difficult to come by and public transportation late at night may be a challenge. We had our own car and hence did not face issues. Apartment was spacious and had an equipped kitchenette. There were no bath room or kitchen washing supplies provided and it is recommended to carry your own

Flooring was dusty and living room furniture was worn out. The was water leakage from the front windows during rain. The pictures on the website was better than the actual apartment condition

The room was very spacious and comfortable, very clean with big windows and nicely furnished. The area, although not central, is very pleasant. There are nice dinning places around and I enjoyed the stroll along the Firth of Forth right on the door steps. I do not like self check-ins, but this one was more or less ok.

The bathrooms are rather basic, but otherwise fine and clean too. What I disliked was rather missleading information on booking.com I try to avoid self check-ins, as they rarely run smoothly, so I was happy to sea that the facility description mentioned a reception. However, once you book then comes the small print, when you learn that they have the reception, but it is… closed! But, I am sorry, you either have a working receiption or you do not have one! So that was a little bit dissapointing.

We stayed at the Ocean Serviced Apartments for 2 nights. A few days prior to our arrival, they contacted us to offer us an upgrade to an Executive Apartment. We upgraded for £25 per night and are VERY glad we did. We got the penthouse on the 7th floor. It had floor-to-ceiling windows with excellent views over the docks. There was even a balcony with a table and two chairs on it. The apartment was very spacious with an en-suite off both bedrooms. There was even another separate toilet with wash hand basin, which was useful. The kitchen was well stocked and soap and sachets of shampoo were provided. There was a washing machine (not sure if it was a washer/dryer as we didn't use it) and a clothes airer. Dishwasher tablets were provided. The whole place was SPOTLESS. I had no need to wash any cups or utensils before use. The water pressure was very good and the beds were comfy. I didn't use them, but there was a hairdryer in both rooms (one looked better than the other). Tea, coffee sachets and sugar were supplied. The apartments are about ten minutes walking distance from a 24hour ASDA so convenient to get food, drinks, etc. The location was excellent! The number 11 bus was a few steps from the accommodation. The Newhaven tram stop was an easy 10 minutes walk away (all on the flat), which took us directly into the centre of Edinburgh. There is a Premier Inn/Brewers Fayre about 5 minutes away but there are better restaurants not much further. Superb location!

Only a few, very minor things: 1. I was aware of the lift mechanism noises on the Saturday night. 2. Hairdryers are provided BUT there are no mirrors in the actual bedrooms to use whilst drying your hair. There was a full-length mirror in the hallway, but the plug socket was quite far away (I have been 'burned' like this before so always take a small mirror with me for such emergencies, but this was annoying). There were plenty of mirrors in the bathrooms. 3. You get a Nespresso-type coffee machine but they don't give you any coffee pods to start you off, which would be useful. These things would not deter me from staying again tough.

Extremely helpful staff. The apartment was very clean and tidy. Fantastic views across the harbor towards the city. The location is out of town a bit but does have easy access via the trams and busses within an easy walk. There is an Asda close by if you want to self cater. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. Large living space with comfortable sofa and lounge chairs.

The kitchen was reasonably well equipped however there was no toaster available. A pretty minor issue really.

The flats are spacious, well equipped and have ample parking. The view from our flat on floor 3 was great and looked over towards Ocean Terminal and the Britannia. The tram terminus is only 10 minutes walk away and there are restaurants and a large ASDA within walking distance. We had two adjacent flats so that the whole family could stay and this worked well.

The check in process is automated with keys in locked boxes which have to be opened using your mobile phone and the link from an email. This was OK for me but might be an issue for some people if they don't have a smart phone or don't want to use roaming if from overseas. Some of the appliances (mainly the dish washer) are showing their age.

After a terrible experience with our original accommodation, which led to us having to cancel with nowhere else to stay, we stumbled upon these incredible apartments. There was one left and we booked it. As soon as we walked in, we were impressed by how clean and spacious it was. The beds were super comfortable and the showers were amazing. So powerful and could be hand-held, which is important for us. The next morning, we couldn’t believe our eyes when we opened the curtains in the lounge and saw the view of the Firth of Forth, with sunlight flooding in. Lovely location at the end of the tram line with very easy access into Edinburgh. We would highly recommend.

Some of the doors did not close properly, but this really is a very minor point. The hot water ran out on our first evening before we had all had a shower. However, we had arrived very late and didn’t have time to wait for it to re-heat. The next day, we staggered our showers throughout the evening and all had lovely, hot ones!

Spacious big apartments, suitable for family and children. Dedicated car parking available. Full equipped kitchen, dish washer, washing machine, ironing system all available. The Ocean view is nice, and would be more enjoyable during summer. The staff responded quickly through emails, and also there is an office where we can seek support. I reached the place 30 mins earlier and locker was not allowing me to get access to the keys. But on request in the office staff gave me access to the keys earlier. Overall it was well managed by the entire team.

My booking was expensive for the stay. Maybe because it was during peak season, so I didn't find it value for money. The location is 15 mins drive from the city centers tourist attractions.
