This room was a perfect choice for my group of 3 as the large bed & the sofa bed were comfy and clean, the bedroom had a nice mirror with a sort of desk and a large wardrobe with an iron, ironing board & hairdryer, the bathroom was very nice too and had a really good shower! Everything in the rooms & the kitchen was clean and worked well. Check in & out was easy which was a relief as I was slightly worried about using a door code to get in and not having a 24/7 reception. After check out I got my £100 card payment deposit back instantly and we could leave our bags until 4pm. The location is central and all the local tourist areas are in walking distance, we got the airlink 100 bus from the airport to shandwick place bus stop which was less than 10mins walking distance from this place! There is plenty of food & drink options nearby too. I do think that asking for a £100 deposit on the day is too much, especially since we were only staying for 2 nights so that should be specified more when booking.

The wall between our room & another room seemed very thin as we could hear people in another room talking & watching tv & both nights in the bedroom there was an annoying noise (I think coming from the radiator so maybe something to do with pipes) that went on until early morning..

The location is perfect for the city, not right on the main streets so can get some quiet nights but at the same time only 6 minute walk from Princess street and 10 minutes from the royal mile. The staff were all very helpful and there were constant cleaners keeping the place tidy

The room we had had a window that wouldn't close and as we were overlooking a shops back alley, we ended up having some very early mornings being woken by deliveries or stray pigeons. The toilet in the bathroom also was a bit broken as when you flushed the toilet, 30 minutes later the water seems to back up and there is bits of toilet paper and other stuff that drops back into the bowl.

The location of the aparthotel is wonderful, just off the main attractions. Everything is walkable from there. The room is very cosy and quiet. The stay was very comfortable and the staff is very helpful. Overall a great place to stay.

The apartment had some issues with heating - the windows are very loose and let in a lot of cold air. I had to wait for 4 days from the checkout to get back 100 GBP of the deposit. The room was rather dirty - especially the kitchen - but the bathroom was clean. We had some issues with the bathroom (flushing the toilet needed fixing).

Location and secured parking in the basement is a plus point. Washing machine!! Restaurants is within close proximity

Parking entrance at the basement requires great driving skills as it was super tight and large size SUVs would not be able to get into the car lift. And the parking is extremely expensive and the hotel didn't provide any special parking rates as offered by some other hotels. The tip: park your vehicle at street parking (right in front of the hotel) which is free after 6:30pm till 8.30am The washer/dryer: the dryer doesn't seem to work but we managed to dry our clothes on the heater Didn't replenish shampoo or handsoap.

The AprtHotel is simply awesome!! Couldn't be better. The check-in was easy: I received a code to enter the main door and then there was an Ipad which we made the check-in and took our keys (cards). The kitchen had everything that we needed. The Bathroom is big, the bedroom is very comfortable and quiet. The location is not at the old town, but it's a few minutes away walking from there. Definitely would return to this AppartHotel.

Not a really bad part, but just a warning: if you've never been to Edinburgh keep in mind that it's not a flat terrain city. It takes a few minutes of walking to get to the Royal Mile, but there are hills. If you have some mobility restrictions, you might consider this...

Amazing location, good-looking large apartment with a lot of amenities. Very close to the city centre with many shops close by. AC is also a very welcome feature since we had quite a hot day during our stay.

The sofa i slept on was very small and unfortable. That being said, other members of my group had quite comfortable matraces.. Also, there is a bar right under the windows, and it was a bit noisy until 8 in the morning.

I loved my stay in this hotel, I wish all hotels were like this. I personally love self-check-ins, I had check-in through my phone before coming to the hotel and found it very easy to get my key through the machine in the reception. My room was facing the back, so it was quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable. The plug sockets had USB ports too which was great for charging your phone. There was everything I needed, hairdryer, washing machine and detergent, iron, ironing board. I had booked months in advance, and the price was extremely well for such a great stay, considering the hotel prices in Edinburgh.

The shower went from boiling hot to freezing cold by itself, it was easy to predict when the temperature would change. The kitchen appliances could be improved (e.g. pans and pots, spatula, salt).

The location was excellent and close to the city centre. The staff were great and check in was easy enough. The room was spacious and had loads of facilities.

We could have used a few extra glasses and the kitchen felt a bit tired, but we were only staying a few nights and weren't cooking, so wasn't a big deal.

Location was perfect. Close enough to walk into the city but far enough away that it was quiet in the evenings. Great value for money - loved having a small kitchen in the apartment. Check-in process was fairly smooth considering it was all automated.

Top ups of coffee / tea / sugar would have been nice. And soya milk would have been nice as this wasn't available. More variety of cooking pots, pans and utensils might have been nice as these were a little basic if you wanted to cook a dinner like we did.

I’m sending a big thank you to Sitra. When we were in Edinburgh, I had lost some medication. She was minding the hotel that evening and went out of her way to help me get in touch with NHS doctors so I could have the medication replaced. She was so kind and gracious. This could have easily ruined the rest of our trip. Thank you Sitra. Hetton is lucky to have her.
