Lovely hotel, room was small but very clean and welcoming. All of the rooms were named after famous Scottish actors/ singers/ sports personalities, making it a nice touch . Nice decor. The room had a complimentary tea and coffee tray. A mini bar also in the room with clear pricing. Complimentary biscuits, bottled water and bathrobe/slippers. Staff were very friendly and the bar was always busy in the evening. Location was good too for accessing the main town area, including Princess St, Rose Street, and George Street. It is a 15/20 min walk to train or bus station and to many local tourist attractions. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend to others.

We were in room 105 and there was no socket close to the wall mirror in order to blowdry/style my hair. No full-length mirror. The room had a small slope on the floor leading from the bedroom into the bathroom, no warning of this. We almost tripped on a few occasions until we got used to it and remembered it was there. Otherwise, it was a lovely hotel and it would not stop us returning. ( I would just ask for an extension lead now and am aware of the slope )

periodically I’d have towels taken away and not replaced I didn’t have a face towel for 3 of the days we were there and used a hand towel then one of those got taken too , also the towel rail is on too hot , I had a severe but. on inner forearm because I lent on it to put wet towel over rail , i spent a lot of time trying to get it to heal while I was staying there has had taken several layers of skin off and isn’t right still but is getting better , I explained to the staff when we checked out and they gave me an email to say I’d have preferential rates and free meal if we ever booked again

Location in the city is fantastic. Queens' Street, Royal Mile, National Art museum and Edinburgh castle and more are within walking distance. Staff all extremely friend, courteous and professional. A shout out to Jules who worked in the bar during breakfast and evening dinner fantastic at herjob and extremely friendly as well. Breakfast served until 11am is a bonus.

Breakfast choice is limited. Parts of the breakfast were reheated by the microwave. Poached eggs were cooked fresh but the bacon with wasn't cooked fresh. Evening meals were better in particular the battered cod. On my last night I had the Buckfast pie. Disappointed as again reheated with microwave.

The Angels Share hotel is a nice property with a friendly staff. The decor and rooms center on Scottish celebrities, a point of pride in this country. There many chandeliers, which gives it the appearance of angels floating in the air. The room was a bit small, but perfectly fine for a solo traveler. There is a bar connected to the hotel, of the same name. This made it convenient for a night cap. After last call at the bar, you can order drinks from the night person. They are cashless, so be prepared to use your credit card. Breakfast was good - I had both the full Scottish and the salmon and eggs. I would stay here again.

The floor levels and elevator levels are a bit off from each other. My room was on the second floor, but it was best to take the elevator to the third floor and walk down two steps to the second floor. The room was fairly warm despite having a small fan. I found it best to open the bathroom and bedroom windows to create a croos breeze.

The location of the hotel is excellent for visiting the centre of the city, but also easy access to public transport. For example, the Airlink bus from/to the airport drops off and picks up just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable as a solo traveller. I made use of the breakfast option and had one meal at the hotel - fresh and great quality food and drinks all day.

Although the room was extremely clean and comfortable, there was a fair amount of noise from the side street below my window (early morning deliveries, etc).

Location. Staff were all friendly and professional. Very central but rooms and hotel very quiet. Rooms named after well known Scottish personalities with some fabulous black and white photos . Decor in bar warm and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed for renovation so we didn't get to eat in the restaurant but they did do an amazing cold buffet breakfast

the Scottish theme of having rooms named after famous Scottish people was really cool. The staff were really helpful and the rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was also good value, would definitely recommend.

There was no full length mirror which annoyed my wife. There were signs of repairs in the bathroom ( around the bath taps and under the sink ) The quality of the repairs was a bit shoddy and not what you would expect.

Very well presented themed room with a good sized bathroom. The hotel was a couple of minutes from the hop on - hop off bus service and within easy walking distance of most major attractions without the bus. Very good breakfast and evening meal menu. Very well presented and tasty food.

Slight issue with some dusting needs, but was resolved straight away and wasn't a recurring issue. We stayed for a week and would find it hard to pick faults in anything with the hotel.

Good location, nice hotel and lovely staff. The rooms are well themed.

Rooms are small. Not keen on a shower over bath would have been better if a walk in shower. Our shower head was a little mouldy, tile grouting was dirty and water did not drain properly in sink. Also when we were leaving there was an event taking place at the hotel which was in the bar/lobby area so it was tricky to get in and out around all the lively crowd.

Blown away by every aspect of this properity's design ,decor and cleanliness ,the references to contempary Scottish celebraties was beautifully done. During one night stay did not partake of food and drink so can't comment but our stay was magical never the less ,staff so friendly and helpful. Hotel ideal position to visit city , very central Room was perfect size at front on first floor ,shower settings perfect , whole experience perfect
