The location couldn't have been better for this trip. I was meeting a group staying at a pricey hotel 2 blocks away. Being right on Princes Street is ideal. Walking out the front door to a castle view (even if your room doesn't have one) is a dream. I know a lot of reviews complained about how small the rooms are, but I think it's unfair to complain about something that is clearly disclosed in advance when you book. Yes, the rooms are tiny. There's a bed and barely enough room to walk around it. The property provided a hanger and hooks by the door and a small shelf under a mirror that was helpful, and there is good storage for a large suitcase under the bed. I ended up using the windowsill (which ran along the entire long wall of the room) to hold items I wanted access to. It was cramped and would probably not work well for 2 people, but you're not going to get luxury at this price in this location. And again, there were no surprises. The staff were consistently friendly and cheerful. There's no in-room coffee, but there is a coffee/tea/chocolate machine in reception. The noise of the trams going by could be heard in the room, but it wasn't very loud and they seemed to shut down around 10 p.m. There is no lift and rooms start on the first floor (that's second floor to Americans) so you need to plan on carrying luggage up at least one flight of stairs, maybe more. Again, not a surprise and standard for an old building like this, just something to plan around.

I was very happy with my stay at EasyHotel, I went to Edinburgh to go on vacation and explore the city and I think the hotel and room suited me well for my trip. The hotel was in a very good location in the city (it was really easy to get there with the bus from the airport) and it was at a great price and I didn’t really mind the size of the room. I thought the room was quite clean and room service was good and the staff were really kind and happily helped me with any inquiries I had! I also got three towels that I could use and that were changed by room service and they offered to lend me a hairdryer and other utilities that I might have needed.

The wifi was free but it was very slow and most websites didn’t even load, thankfully I bought a simcard with data on it to use outside which also worked in the hotel but without that I would have had a really bad time because I couldn’t check bookings, bank account, messages etc with the slow wifi. It was quite cold in the room but the staff were very nice and turned up the heating for me!

Nice budget rooms, comfy beds and very clean. Perfect for a solo traveller like myself. Location was quite good aswell and a easy walk to all the attractions and the christmas market.

Sadly, the walls are very thin so i was kept awake until 2am by my noisy neighbours who seemed to be having a very good night. Had to get earbuds from reception but sadly i could still hear them with them in. Did tell the receptionist about the noise but i didnt know whicj room they were in so they couldnt do anything. Thats my only downside to this hotel.

The location and the castle view was brilliant Tea & coffee is available for £1 in the reception You have your own toilet and shower (it is small) Friendly staff There was a heater aswell as a fan in the room Clean room comfy bed

The room was on the smaller side but for a night you couldn't complain as it was just a base. Wouldn't recommend it for anyone with mobility issues as there is no lifts just steps Only 1 pillow each in a room ( didn't ask at reception but would imagine they could give you another if it was a big issue) I have stayed in better hotels for less money but this hotel is city centre Edinburgh so you do expect to pay more.

I’m very happy with my stay, staff was lovely and very helpful, room was clean and comfortable. Small rooms, which it also says on the website so no surprise, perfect for a short stay or for when you’re not planning on spending much time in the hotel room. And also, of course the location is perfect. Train station is a short walk away, buss stop just outside the front door which takes you to the airport as well as anywhere else.

A con was definitely the stairs with no elevator. But again, the stuff was so helpful and changed my room from the top to the first floor after requesting it, so i didn’t have to drag my suitcases all the way up. There is not much floor space so worth thinking about if you’re more than one person and have big suitcases.

Amazing location at Princes Street right next to great restaurants and museums. Super helpful staff, they all do amazing job there every day, made our stay really great! The room was small but it was as expected from the description here, sufficient if you don’t have high expectations and don’t plan to lounge there all day. The view in the room with the bay windows is superb, you can stare at the Edinburgh castle right from your bed. It’s fantastic. We happened to visit during the summer heatwave and the AC worked very well all the time, we could sleep without any problems during the night despite the windows being sealed shut for safety reasons at all times. So to sum up - we really enjoyed our stay and would totally recommend it for a few nights!

I have zero complaints, our stay was delightful. Anything you’d expect in a budget hotel, it’s here! In the best way possible.

The young man in reception was very helpful I had recently injured my leg and use a stick. He put us in a room on the lower floor next to reception. We dropped a suitcase off before checking in it cost £2.50 but was worth it as we could then head out for a meal and some liquid refreshments. The room was clean the bed comfortable.

The room was small but I didn’t expect much more. At the price it is ideal for a one night stay but if you like to spread your gear out over a wide area and don’t like having to change one person at a time while the other sits on the bed I would pay the extra for the space.

Clean and we'll situated. If you want luxury look elsewhere.. The rooms are small, basic no frills.. But adequate for what you pay and very clean and comfoftable. Staff very friendly, and helpful we asked for extra pillows and we're given them no problem. Jacob I particular goes above and beyond.

There could be a kettle and tea/coffee in rooms there is a vendor at reception, but cups were tiny.

The receptionists were all lovely and always ready to help us. The room has everything you need. If you're lucky enough to get a room with a window, you'll find out that the view is stunning. The hotel is in the city centre, and there are a lot of useful shops near the building in case you need anything. We'll definitely come back soon!

The room was a bit small for two people, but perfect for someone travelling alone. We could hear a lot of noises during the night because the window is a bit old, but overall that didn't stop us from sleeping well.

we absolutely love staying here, the staff are always so friendly and helpful. prime location and the best view in Edinburgh, unobstructed views of Edinburgh castle. closed to amenities and Edinburgh Waverley train station, right on princes street with tones to eat, drink and experience on your door step. great value for money and cannot stress enough again now amazing the staff are. will definitely be back in the future.

only negative is there is no elevator so it’s 6 flights of stairs to the top floor with no disabled access.
