The room and bathroom were both large and beautifully appointed, if in rather dark colours. The location was excellent, right on the waterside with free public parking close by and easy pedestrian access to the town centre. We had a lovely view of the river from our room. There was a very good restaurant adjacent to the building and a pub very close by.

Considering the price of the room (£175.35 for a deluxe double with bath), the breakfast was rather disappointing - the hot choices were limited - just scrambled egg, sausage, bacon and tomato, all kept hot in chafing dishes rather than being freshly cooked. And the hospitality tray in the bedroom had only 4 milk pots (2 full cream, 2 skimmed) which seemed a bit stingy.

Nice location and high quality inclusions. Beautiful bathroom although the single room is not directly connected to it. I'm sure that information was in the description but I missed it. The proprietor was helpful and prompt in storing my bicycle in a secure location. The breakfast was fantastic. A coffee machine in the room was a nice extra.

It was a the hottest day of the year. The temperature in the entrance hall was 25/26. In the bedroom the thermometer on the wall said 30C! But there was a fan. This is a fact of life in the UK, Aircon is often absent in rural locations. Obviously I didn't like not having an ensuite bathroom but the style and beautiful inclusions of the private made up for it.

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Ceiling fan was very good at keeping temperature down. There was a kettle and nespresso machine and a bottle of water. It was very easy to access the property and the room. Very good buffet breakfast, every thing was nicely cooked and a good range considering space limitations. Girl serving breakfast was very friendly

I stayed in a single room which did not have an en suite. This was a little inconvenient but not a major issue, I would try and get a larger room if I stayed again. There was some noise from the bar next door but this stopped by 11.00 pm. I had no major complaints about this accommodation

Our room was very well appointed and lovingly decorated. You can tell a lot of thought and planning has been involved. The standard of the furnishings and the level of cleanliness is to a very high standard. We were spoiled with both a kettle and a Nespresso coffee machine. The very large bathroom and powerful shower were most welcome after a long day investigating Ely. Breakfast was fabulous with hot pastries and cooked breakfast items together with fresh fruit. A lovely selection in smart and spotless setting.

The free parking is free but public, so it is free to everyone.

Well appointed and comfortable room with lovely view of the river. Ensuite was excellent and everything spotlessly clean. We would gladly stay at the Riverside again. A very good breakfast too!

I was initially a little surprised that there were no reception staff to greet our arrival but in the event we had no problems with entry or finding our room. If there had been a problem we had been emailed contact details so in the end my earlier anxieties were misplaced. There is no reserved parking for guests but there are free parking spaces just outside and we had no difficulty finding a space.

What a beautifully furnished guesthouse, in an unbeaten location right on the canal front. The price was very affordable. It seemed largely unstaffed so you were sent an access code to enter the building - all very smoothly communicated, no problems at all gaining access. The bed was so comfortable and I loved the view from my window. The breakfast served was good and again, lovely views from the relaxed breakfast room.

I didn't realise when I booked that my single room had an external private bathroom. This isn't my preference, but actually it was fine. The bathroom was for my exclusive use, just outside the bedroom and extremely clean and nicely furnished. The shower pressure was great. The single room itself is also very small, but since it had a nice comfy seat and view it was still a nice place to relax in so I didn't really mind.

My visitor said she really liked the place. Only problem was because we had to start day before 8am she couldn’t enjoy breakfast which is inclusive. So please ignore my rating for breakfast I should have read the T and Q before booking. I had to go around looking for breakfast 7 am in the morning which was quite a headache to start a long day.

With the prior notice guest should be provided breakfast. At least coffee and cereals which doesn’t need extra works for staffs.

superb location close to the station, town centre and all the amenities. the rooms look over the river. room was fully equipped easy entry system pleasant self service breakfast room with an exceptional selection for breakfast. my single room had a separate private bathroom which was to a very high standard.

my only criticism would be that as the single room is small, the dark decor and furniture makes it quite oppressive and closed in. lighter wood and decor would make it feel so much airier and spacious.

Lovely location right on the Marina with a pub and 2 restaurants nearby. Easy walking distance of free parking, riverside walks and Ely city centre. Lovely touch to have a bottle of wine in room, coffee machine and towl robe for the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was small but everything you needed with warm and continental options.

Warm room, it was 25° overnight, I managed to get the windows open and fan going but maybe consider summer bedding rather than a duvet and cover.
