Staff very friendly and helpful. Venue is close to Ely, Cambridge, and Bury St Edmunds, all very historical, and was the reason for our break. Having a lift was a plus and they provided a good breakfast.

We were woken very early, a number of mornings, with a delivery lorry with it's reversing beep beep warning going. Had some small bathroom issues couldn't get the sink to hold water and we took a while to master the shower. Generally though very good venue for a stay and would recommend it.

Looked after by lovely staff from arrival until departure. Lovely food and service. Lovely to have bar and restaurant. Beautiful location and went for a lovely evening walk and visited church. Drinks were carried up to our room for us. Would definitely visit again. Chose location to access Ely. Could have walked it, but there is a large free car park at Barton Road which was excellent. Lovely base in order to visit Cathedral.

Too hot in room, but in fairness we could have opened skylight and there was a fan we did not use

Nice Pub.Fairly quiet location..Plenty of free parking. Nice room & comfortable bed. As Restaurant not open for breakfast on Monday mornings we were given a selection of cold food in a carrier bag free of charge.

Didn't eat there as Restaurant not open Sunday night or Monday morning but menu looked good. T.V.reception not good. Kettle did not work in our room.Could do with another chair in room.

Room and breakfast was great, variety of evening meals, staff were welcoming - clean and tidy place - will definitely use again for our staff

Introductory email comes off a little unwelcoming and officious - but get that they dont want to be messed around with no shows and cancellations - and the welcome in person was far better.

My wife and I are mature cyclists. We travelled around Norfolk using two Sustrans routes. We stopped at five different hotels about 45 miles apart. Each hotel traditionally catered for other markets. All the staff we met on tour were friendly and helpful and all were clean. The room at the Little Downham Anchor was the most compact of our stay.

old building well modernised. My husband and I had a Superior Room for 2 nights. Son and his young family had the split level apartment for one night. Our room was very good but the apartment was exceptional. A perfect family space. The staff could not have been more helpful. A table for 6 of us was ready in the restaurant for both the evening meal and breakfast. The food was excellent for both meals. Breakfast was amazing and the staff most understanding when it came to the young children. Can’t over praise all the staff we met.

The car park was a bit tight. everything else was great.

Everything was perfect. From the Check In right through to the Check Out. The room was very comfortable, the bed and pillows really lovely, a beautiful bathroom. Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous. Breakfast was also fabulous - very tasty and well presented. All in all, a beautiful weekend away made more so by Little Downham Anchor

The staff were the highlight here - really went above and beyond. Helped to organise our taxi and also provided such a lovely breakfast in the morning (which we didn’t know was included in the booking!).

Rooms were pretty basic/dated but they served a purpose and were still very comfortable and clean.

Went to a wedding reception here, reception venue was beautifully decorated, food good staff very accommodating, breakfast was a let down,only just warm and greasy, not the same chef as the wedding breakfast still the staff on duty was lovely

The breakfast,as said greasy and only just warm, not a good start to the day. Some staff not understanding about a gluten free diet,was given the wrong meal twice, but it was soon put right.

what a lovely place the little pub was so warm and welcoming with lovely staff and customers we felt so at home instantly. then went into the restaurant for dinner and omg the food was absolutely unbelievable it puts some good restaurants we have eaten in to shame. the chef is amazing thank you so much to everyone for making our stay memorable. will definitely be returning 👌😀
