The family room (no.4) was very spacious, airy and very cool in hot weather! Beds were so comfortable and very high quality soft linens. Exceptionally clean and the room was well set up with lamps and plenty of power sockets. The breakfast menu was extensive with a fantastic selection of fresh fruits and pastries in the continental option in addition to cooked breakfast. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Lovely beer garden.

Only improvement would be to include decaf coffee in the room facilities along with regular tea and coffee, and they had run out of all jam at breakfast (but did have just about everything else you could want!)

A lovely hotel in quiet, lovely surroundings. Easy to find. We were pleasantly surprised by the room, it was more than adequate and very clean. The bathroom was spacious, with a great shower. Toiletries also provided.. bonus! All we needed for a 1 night stay. on site restaurant had fabulous food. We didn't have breakfast, but if our evening meal was anything to go off, sure the breakfast was lovely.

The beds! Everything was fantastic.. staff, cleanliness, facilities... but, sorry woodcote, the beds and pillows were awful 😒

As a basic hotel the Woodcote is among the better ones. Don't expect all the trimmings of a four star plus but if all you want is a bed, a warm welcome on arrival and a place to use as a base for exploring the Wirral, Liverpool and Chester then the hotel ticks all the boxes.

The bed was on the too soft side for me but having said that it was comfortable. And the shower cubicle was on the tight side for a fatty like me. But these wouldn't [ut me off staying again.

Staff greeted us with warm and friendly greetings and explanations of our stay. Upgraded us to meet our needs and helped us with additional items we needed to have. Explained restaurant and activities well and indicated who and where to find any additional information if needed

The room was large and spacious, but the bed was very close to the wardrobe with one section unable to access because of the bedside table The shower took ages to get to temperature and the power was not great

The staff were / are absolutely brilliant. Special mentions for Abbie and Naomi in the bar / restaurant and for Barb (Barbara) at breakfast time. A really lovely experience ☺️ on a two night stay this week

Nothing, at all, to complain about. My room wasn't huge but for a single it was well appointed with a good bathroom. I suppose the power shower could have had a little more water flow but I was right at the top of the building in Room 6 and it did the job.

With a delightful room; front door opening directly onto a mid-June cottage rose garden, how could it be bettered? Outside, we enjoyed the patio area replete with garden furniture to relax and take in the atmosphere of the family friendly beer garden. The room was bright and spare, with comfortable bed. Staff are both welcoming and professional. Hotel even contacted me to alert me of forgotten coat!

A raised stool for suitcase packing would be helpful.

All aspects of our stay were very good. Helpful and friendly staff, accommodation was spacious and decorated etc to a high standard. Bed very comfortable, and generous tea/coffee making packs. We stayed in one of the annex rooms, and this looked out onto a walled garden and there was a terrace for us to use , which had several planters, so was very well set up. Breakfast was well cooked and also included a continental breakfast of juice, cereal, croissants, pain au chocolat, and tea and coffee of course. Owners and staff very attentive and have created a hotel with a great welcoming atmosphere.

If you look hard enough, you can always find something, but nothing to criticise from our point of view.

Very courteous and supportive staff , the continental breakfast was good , the room was clean and tidy , since we were staying for longer time , they made arrangement to provide refrigerator in our room. the bed was comfortable. Overall an excellent stay ..we liked it

Although the location was good there was no convenient store nearby , their is no lift to climb for elderly people, suggest they should have a small lift for convenient

Nice big room, very clean, beds made daily. Good location for Chester or the local area, ten minute walk to the train station. Staff were very friendly too. We live in Scotland but come to see family on the Wirral every few months and needed a base. Our experience was great and will be staying here again in the not too distant future

Never had any issues whilst at the property

Good location. Fan was provided for the family room. Food and venue both looked really good but we were off out to catch up with family so did not use the garden or sample food. Lots of tea and coffee in room and very clean.

Pillows may need an upgrade but I think I lucked out and had two soft ones whilst my children grabbed the best ones. Shower gel would have been a welcome addition to the room.
