The tv in the room did not work on BBC ONE it just keep switching off by itself that was annoying, also alot of cable wrapped up under the tv that make the room look untidy staff vould have tidy that up abit better, and Ace was above our head so the cool air just come down on your head and not in the room i dont think that was working properly but will defo go there again this was our second time there, the room before was much better, i didnt like how all the door at reception was left open people from the outside that does not belong onsite could just walk in and go to anyone rooms that was scary.

The hotel overall was lovely, a very spacious and downstairs well decorated. Corridors to the room looked lovely and clean. The food was really lovely and staff were friendly. We didn't use spa or pool. Breakfast the next day was tasty.

**not that we dont like anything* The room was clean and tidy but quite outdated from looking at the rest of the hotel. This wasn't an issue for us apart from having no aircon it was quite hot inside the room. With 4 of us sleeping in one room, it was a bit of a squeeze. Overall, there isn't anything we didn't like, as our stay was comfortable and we would return again if visiting the area.

Lovely large room. It was quiet in spite of being near a main road. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board in room with usual tea and coffee making facility. Plenty of hanging space. Breakfast was good with cereal fresh fruit and full English. Variety of teas. Evening meal was delicious. Service in the restaurant was great. All the staff were professional and friendly. The spa looked lovely though didn't use.

Shower was just a rain shower not that powerful - a hand held would have been nice too. Would have liked plain yoghurt for breakfast and cold meats and cheese would have been good.

Nice modern room and bathroom with a tub and shower. Leisure centre was very good used the steam rooom / sauna and pool / jacuzzi. Lovely garden areas to relax in and explore. Food also good we chose the bar food menu as my wife is coeliac and main restaurant menu was slightly limited in choices. Excellent breakfast the server advised they would cook my wife’s choice of cooked breakfast from scratch to ensure no contamination and had gluten free bread so very happy with that.

All good nothing was too much trouble so not possible to dislike anything about our stay.

Suitable for 4 generations. Me and my mum took my grandma, kids & partner for a overnight stay, Dinner was amazing. 4 different meals cooked to perfection. Hotel was calm and not too busy so didn't have to wait long for meals. Pool, sauna and jacuzzi was amazing, clean and not busy. Other guest were friendly too. Breakfast was ok not the best but we did arrive almost at the end so all the fruit was finished. Definitely would visit again. Kids didn't want to leave and once home we all felt rested and revitalised.

Next time I will probably ask for a ground floor room as my grandma had difficulties going up and down so many stairs and a room with a shower only as she had trouble getting in & out of the bath.

The room was adequate for our needs. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was most welcome and freshly cooked.

There was no one at reception and we had to search for someone to attend the desk. There was not an available disabled parking space, which was surprising considering the size of the car park. We had to park some distance away from reception. On calling the hotel, prior to our visit I enquired about disabled parking and was assured there was plenty. When I booked the room a view was guaranteed, however, on calling the hotel, prior to our stay we had not been allocated one. A room with was assigned however on arrival, our view was blocked by a brick wall/roof. The desk/table lamp in our room was broken.

Our stay was perfect! I couldn’t fault the property even if I tried. The spa and leisure facilities were exceptional too.

Me and my partner had a slight issue with a young boy at the leisure reception. He wasn’t very friendly and almost seemed to just grunt at us whenever he was asked a question. As it was out first time at the hotel, we really did need someone to explain the facilities to us or even make us feel comfortable upon entering. His answers were very short and snappy and he almost seemed frustrated with us for speaking to him. The first time we encountered I thought he might have just been having a bad day but the same behaviour continued throughout our stay. Other than this, our stay was absolutely perfect and we’re very grateful towards all other staff for making us feel valued and comfortable. Thankyou!

It's a beautiful location tucked away and it's quiet. Lovely ambience. Friendly staff. Good facilities.

The twin bed was too hard and caused my friend to have a very uncomfortable sleep and woke up with back pains. Also she was unable to get hot chocolate for breakfast. Also each time we have visited the pool area literally burns everyone's eyes due to the high level of chlorine. It's almost unbearable. This needs to be looked into.

The disabled parking is 'available' but it is not clear whether we could use it with my disabled badge since it states disabled parking 'reserved'. Hence not sure if guests can use it or its only meant for reserved ones. We did self check in and didn't get to ask if we could park on there. We just parked on the other general parking space available on site. We were in room 208 - a lovely room until in the middle of night someone upstairs started walking. Squeaky, very noisy floor boards which is odd because some of their floor space (we walked on) wasn't squeaky at all. Despite this, our relatives who were travelling with us, did not experience any squeaky boards in their room. Other than this, it is a great place to stay, we will be happy to stay there again.

I went to stay at hogs Back spa hotel for one night with a friend for a spa weekend. I had a back massage on my friend had a facial and they were both wonderful. Hotel was clean, and our room was a twin, and staff were very helpful. Spa was perfect it had all the facilities that you needed and it was very clean the only thing I would say is that you had to pay £5 for your dressing gown. The only issue that we had was that the restaurant closes at 9 p.m. and we booked a table for 8:30 they said to us that we had to eat in the bar but eventually it was resolved and we did eat in the restaurant part and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We have booked to stay there for 2 nights next year.
