All in all, for the money paid, this was a great hotel. Most importantly, the room was clean! Free parking & ideal for some of the venues (OVO for a concert in our case) in Scotland with a short walk. Small communal seating area, with free tea & coffee available 24/7 & a selection of soft/alcoholic beverages, which I believe can be purchased at any time.

The twin room was "compact" , but acceptable with the only real issue being the shower door which was frosted glass looking towards a mirror & as I was traveling with a long time male Friend, I had to keep chucking him out of the room.

For a budget hotel this is what I had expected since accommodation is usually expensive in Glasgow. The weather was hot and the conditioning worked well to add to my comfort. The location was fine as I didn't mind the walk across the river once I discovered a shortcut. Breakfast was adequate for a continental start to the day. The day I needed a taxi the process was simple and fast. No waiting. Reception was helpful with any questions.

If somebody didn't like walking they would need to rely on taxis.

The parking area was very handy. The location is really good, with a lot to do nearby and isn't far from events. We were shown how to use the taxi service from the woman in reception not long after arrival. We required extra bin bags and went to the reception and were given 2 bags for rubbish from the nightshift staff 'Ross'. Very helpful. We then ended up needing an extra night to stay, and 'Ross' managed to sort that out for us. We were also able to keep the same room, which was a bonus that prevented the hassle of switching rooms. We will definitely be back at some point in the future when we require somewhere to stay in glasgow. We would recommend anyone to stay there. Overall, the experience was amazing, and the staff helped by being very helpful & friendly. Kevin & Chelsea

The only thing that was a slight issue was the ventilation and aircon. It was a very humid night to be fair. That was easily solved by going out for fresh air, and it didn't take long to access the main door. So overall, it wasn't a problem as such. Everything else was up to the standards we required and was satisfied with everything else. Kevin & Chelsea

I love everything about this little gem of a hotel and use it fairly regularly. The location , I especially love the shower which is roasting hot for evening and I can change it to super cold when I shower in the morning. I love that the floor is not carpeted and I can see it is clean, I love the white decor with the splash of green and when I come home to Glasgow I love that the staff book me my favourite room (804) overlooking the Squinty bridge . I love the short walk into town along the Clyde and I especially love the staff who are wonderfully typical of the world renowned warm, honest and genuine Glasgow hospitality.

I can't think of anything that I don't like. One thing as a point of reference is that I wanted to rebook for the following month and found that the Campanile was £20/25 cheaper I asked at reception to see if the company would match the price as a fairly regular customer but they couldn't......not a big issue but I have gone with the Campanile as I have other costs to consider - fuel , meals etc. as I travel home from England.

Bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in and I had the best night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel. It was very quiet overnight. Free WiFi and continental breakfast a bonus. Great location for Bellahouston Park where we went for a concert. In a great retail park with leisure facilities and a lovely restaurant where we went for tea. Loved the bunk bed over the double bed. My daughter slept in the bunk and thought it was great and also very comfy. Booked this room as twin rooms were sold out and I had been a it concerned how this would go down with my 20 year old daughter but I needn't have worried! Staff friendly, very helpful efficient and professional. Would definitely stay again.

We paid a high price for the room as it coincided with a concert which was on nearby so all prices rocketed for this night. This was still the most affordable accomodation we could find though and also one of the nearest to the concert venue.

Best price for me and my son. He loved the bunk bed and I had a double to myself. For £34 it was great! Arcade, cinema, bowling, and restaurants within 10 second walk from the hotel. Only thing that was a shame was there was no hotel cafe for breakfast, so we had to grab something to eat from the train station instead and there was no restaurant/cafe there only corner shop. But as a whole definitely be back to Ibis. The staff were lovely, the location was the best! Wi-Fi was poor but that’s to be expected for budget hotels.

Breakfast items and Wi-Fi signal. Otherwise lovely.

That the dog can stay. Took her bed and bowls with us, plenty of space for them in the double room. We also had a twin room, and I think having the dogs bed in that room would have been a squeeze. Also liked that the double room had a view and could see the SECC area all lit up at night was nice. The twin room looked onto the inner courtyard and faced other rooms, so that wasn't as nice a view. Staff at reception were lovely, very friendly, and helpful. Same with the cleaning staff. Loved the late check out, especially with teenagers in tow.

Nothing to do with the hotel , but 2 things I didn't like were 1. Walk behind Nandos, and you are at the waters edge. Nice path to walk, but it's closed off if you want to walk along the water towards the squinty bridge and over towards the Hydro/SECC. Same at the other end underneath the Kingston Bridge, the path is closed off, this time due to private gardens. Yet if you look across the water, you can see people walk the full-length 2. Not that much green space here to walk the dog. Its over past the Harvester, borders part of the car park, and not great to let my dog off as its next to an exit with cars going by faster than I would expect for a quieter area of the car park.

It was cheap, cheerful and a short walk from the OVO Hydro - Which is exactly why we chose it. The room was fairly spacious and the bed was comfy. Friendly, helpful staff. Snacks/ drinks in the lobby at an additional price. Taxi requesting was easy. Had a room with a view which was a plus. Really nice. Was a good wee stay all-round! :)

There was a strand of hair in our shower when we arrived (not that big a deal but thought we should be honest about it). The lifts were a problem. Pretty scary to use. We ended up using the stairs, mostly. There's supposed to be complimentary tea/ coffee but when going to the machine it stated that you had to pay. Also, we couldn't get any juice out of the machine.

Hotel was nice, possible a kettle, mug & small condiments would be a nice touch especially if guests aren’t having breakfast or don’t want to pay extra for breakfast but would like a tea or coffee in their room before departing as I did think £40+ is a little steep just for a room but It was lovely & clean, nice and warm also and staff members were lovely. Hotel is well secured and its really quiet on a night so get plenty rest.

There was only one pillow each on the bed, I’d definitely add another. Can’t go wrong and they are easily removed by guest if two is not needed (probably could of asked for extra at reception but didn’t even think)
