It was extremely good value for money. There was a good amount of free parking space and the host was very friendly. I was given a double room on arrival, despite having only booked a single, which was nice. I had a huge tv, a kettle, a fridge and a sink in my room, all of which I made good use of. I laos had a view of the garden from my room. It was in a quiet location and seeemd very spacious. Although the room was not en-suite, there were lots of toilets and shower rooms available, so this was not a problem. I was also given a front door key in addition to my room key, so that I could come and go as I pleased.

The location is a bit far from anywhere that I needed to be during my stay, and is surrounded by factory-type premises, but the price made it worth booking.

be careful driving 40 mph limit and major pot holes. be careful when turning into the entrance it’s very tight and check first if spot is available,because you will probably have to back your car in

Very comfy room and bathroom, I slept very well here. The Owner was very welcoming and helpful. Nice coffee-making facilities and the biscuits were a nice touch. Peaceful location, close to the sea and very happy to have the parking included. An excellent area for walking can recommend the England Coast Path. I finished a section of the Thames Path from Grain to Cliffe, having already done Windsor to Cliffe in chunks over the last year. Lots of marshland close by, excellent habitats for birds and butterflies, stunning views of where the Thames goes into the sea, the places you can see opposite such as Sheerness and Southend-on-Sea and also the Medway Estuary. Also interesting to see the industrial aspects of the area, such as the National Grid, Amazon, and BP. Very handy for a Co-op and a corner shop, there are some takeaways I didn't get a chance to try. Bombay Chilli in Lower Stoke is excellent for Indian food, I went twice and can thoroughly recommend it.

Getting sunburnt (learnt my lesson, totally my own fault).

The room, the bathroom and toilets and the eating area were always kept clean, with multiple bathrooms, you always had use of one and they were spotless. My bed sheets were changed regularly. There was a small fridge in my room with a kettle and tea and coffee, which were kept regularly topped up. I slept very well and the bed was really comfy. The staff were very helpful at all times and it's really good value for money.

The place is a little bit dated, but that is a very minor observation, the place is great.

Manager, Henry, was helpful with local advice. Room was large, as was the bed! Communal dining room adjacent, with toaster, microwave and fridge (also fridge in room), so although the Lodge doesn't currently serve food, it's easy enough to DIY!

Confusion over whether I would have to pay for a minimum 2-night stay, when only staying a single night. In the end everything was fine, and I didn't need to pay for the extra night.

The host was super friendly and welcoming. The rooms are basic (it mainly caters for working guys) but for the very low price I couldn’t complain at all. Shared shower rooms and toilets but they are plentiful and kept spotlessly clean.

In my room cleanliness could have been a bit better, eg - dust on the wardrobe.

The accommodation was clean and the manager is extremely friendly, there was nothing that was too much trouble. Although facilities are shared they are well maintained and clean and there was never a queue or a wait to use them.

Lovely comfortable sunny room. Only booked a single but was given a double room. Very clean and quiet. Scenic walks along the waterfront nearby and a well stocked co-op too.

Henry is a nice man and made us feel very welcome. You get the feeling like they're happy to help and staff are friendly :) I phoned for a couple extra tea bags and sugar sachets and they were outside our room within 2 minutes. Nice tetley tea and PG Tips as well as a selection of biscuits. The internet is BT and we had no issues streaming from the laptop. It was very quiet and there are nice places to walk nearby. The co-op is very close and we were able to order a takeaway on Just Eat. Overall we were both very happy and have both said we would like to stay again. Perfect little quiet getaway. 10/10

The host/manager is an exceptional person , always willing to help. The rooms are always very clean with all required amenities. Accessible to the road, local shops and transport links
