Location was spot on for what we needed. The bar staff and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful one of the staff went and got us super glue for a wardrobe emergency. Food was nice for our Friday lunchtime buffet .

The reception staff upon arrival were very rude and very automated. They said we couldn’t have a room until 3 o’clock and they couldn’t allocate a room to change in for a wedding we were going to , eventually housekeeping released one . The hotel needs a refurbishment as it is very tired and dated and the rooms are tired as well , not a flagship establishment . Not as nice as a premier inn .

location excellent being central to the beach and the shopping centre. come out of the hotel and turn right for shopping and turn left for the seafront - both 5 minutes away. Room was good and had a great view directly overlooking the famous pier. reception very good with the young lady there in training and couldn't do enough to help us.

no on-site parking and had to pay 20 pounds per day at the public car park opposite the hotel. That's $40 for a Kiwi - lots of money! one night was a bit noisy with a full scale open air disco right by the pier. Called reception they had no information and just kept saying it's not a hotel event so it's nothing to do with us. I thought that a poor response as while they were correct it was nothing to do with them it would be great customer service and take very little effort to make themselves aware of public events like that happening right outside their windows so they could advise guests accordingly.

Great Location, Everything is on your doorstep step-The Beach -Sea-Adventure island-High Street etc. Extremely Helpful & Friendly Reception staff -A to Z, they are wonderful (did not have breakfast or visited the bar, so didn't not interact with other members of the staff)

Inconsiderate Guests, whom Slammed Their door's, as late as 11 pm ! If you are a noise sensetive person, then look elsewhere ,you can't identify whereabouts of the noise is coming from because of the shape of the hotel building Just being fair that I can't blame the hotel management for the guests inconsiderate action.

Room size and location was brilliant. A few minor issues but was no fault to hotel or staff. Staff and management were brilliant and swiftly and professionally took care of the few minor issues we had. ( broken TV, spoon in sink drain). If your reading this disregard most reviews. While the place and decor is dated, it didn’t distract from a lovely 2 night stay. Reviews about breakfast can be ignored because it was one of the better hotel breakfast. Food was hot and fresh and staff was more then friendly. Balcony was a beautiful sight, room was cool and comfortable. To be honest we were quite worried after booking bc of the reviews. If your feeling the same way please don’t as we had a lovely stay and will certainly be back.

Could use a 2 seat table in superior room as there is enough room for one. Would be nice to sit at a table. Carpets are stained in hall but room carpet was nice and clean.

This is my third stay here, the hotek is in a great location. Friendly staff as always. Good sized room. I couldn't get the window to stay shut but luckily wasn't an issue as was nice weather. This was my first time adding breakfast, it definitely won't be the last. I would highly recommend it. Really lovely enjoyable breakfast for lovely views too. This is my place to stay when I come to Southend, I can't wait to stay again.

Check in was rather slow this time. It also turns out I was given my room key too early although it was after 3. As when I went up to my room house keeping were still there. It was only a short wait. And she was very apologetic about it.

Really convenient location. Next door to a huge carpark with plenty of spaces. Lovely and helpful staff. Beautiful & clean room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Breakfast staff were especially attentive, freshly made eggs to order and a hearty breakfast with plenty of variety. I will definitely be staying when in the area again!

Nothing too major wrong. The phone in the room didn’t work so we couldn’t call down to reception when we had a query, also there was a dirty nappy left on the balcony which was a little off-putting.

Central location and easy to walk to all the beach amusements and town centre. The reception staff were very good , likewise the staff in the restaurant were also good and helpful.

The room air conditioning did not work. We complained and it was in hand . Reception staff informed us that a fan would be available. Still waiting, it did not arrived despite complaining twice. I realise that the housekeeping staff are busy but it is not too difficult to replace the tea, coffee and toilet rolls.

I liked the area, bang in town and on seafront, workers friendly, nice room. They made up our room for my daughters birthday, and she loved it, It was so appreciated, thank you park inn.

Not too keen when having a meal, being a paying customer and the restaurant started filling with foreigners getting fed there free dinners, it was shocking to see really

-had almost everything you would need -comfy bed -surprisingly quiet at night for a big hotel -I quite often saw what looked like security staff patrolling the floor when I came out of my room which made me feel safe -friendly staff -amazing shower -there was a water cooler on the floor which was a brilliant thing to have -really spacious room-couldn’t believe how big it was, it pretty much had 2 hallways -nice decor

-this is going to sound a bit silly but I felt the soap dispenser in the bathroom was a bit too high up which made it a little awkward to get the soap out (I’m quite short) -the carpet was quite badly stained in places which made it look pretty manky but I had slippers with me so it didn’t really matter -the tv was a bit unintuitive to work with the weird menus and the welcome screen -noisy air con unit -no biscuits 😂 -no comfy chair-no big deal though, just would’ve been nice

We stayed for one night to visit a family grave at Southend cemetery We chose this hotel as it is close to the beach, the attractions and the shopping area, so we could make the most of our visit and have some fun on what was otherwise a sad occasion. The hotel is clean and spacious and well located. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was good with a well thought out variety of options and the staff in the breakfast area were attentive in keeping tables cleared and topping up items as required. The location was great because we had everything within walking distance of where we parked the car. We also had a spectacular view of the seafront. We arrived late in the day with my daughter and 4-year-old granddaughter, so seeing the lights of the rides and the pier when we arrived was magical

The Hotel is an old historical building and some investment in the flooring and curtains in particular is probably overdue but, as with any old building this takes time and expenditure has to be prioritised, and I think they are doing a pretty good job in very difficult circumstances. Nothing to complain about but manage your own expectations. This a British seaside !
