Made booking after deciding against staying at a pre-arranged accommodation because of terrible attitude of previous property's owner. Booked late in the day and was able to check in within 15mins. Staff were friendly and happy to help. Room was cheap (£65, which was £85 cheaper than previous booking) and was quite basic, as you'd expect from price, but very clean, comfy and warm. Room contained tv, tea/coffee set and extra pillows and a fan incase they were needed. 24-hour manned desk, check in/out took seconds, some snack and drink items and a few toiletries available to buy from desk at reasonable prices. Is located next to services which were very quiet at night but offered several places to eat/drink and shop during the day. Can highly recommend.

I had a very good night's sleep. There was a little traffic noise but it was very muffled. Depends on the wind direction. Well equipped room with 3 usb A charge points and one usb C. Shaver socket in the shower room for toothbrushes.

Curly cable, like on an old telephone, attached to the hair dryer was ridiculously short. Food is available at the Waitrose outlet at the service station. Not much choice. Junk gunk is available at the Burger King and KFC . Breakfast is at the service station but they're very strict on portions. If you have cereal (porridge) you can't have some cooked. If you want both best use the breakfast voucher for the full Scottish and pay the couple of extra £s for the porridge.

The hotel and room were very clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable and the fact that there was a walk in shower was brilliant! The fan in the room worked really well to keep the room cool in the hot weather.

Most of the staff were really friendly but some of them were a bit stand offish. The electrics in the room seem to be wired a bit weird because one of the USB ports by the bed wouldn't work unless the big light was on which meant that I couldn't charge my phone by the bed at night but there were plenty of plug sockets around the room so this wasn't a major issue.

Good location, close to motorway for travelling but very quiet, no noise from surroundings. Clean and we weren't disturbed while we were there, but the reception is manned 24 hours. All staff were pleasant. Room came with a desk fan, which needed tightening up and was very noisy but reception replaced this for us straight away. We really enjoyed our stay!

Basic but great for what we were looking for. Could maybe make more use of the space in the rooms, lots of empty floor space. Light bulb was missing from one of our lamps but we just used the other one.

Ideal for me and my baby girl, no issues being supplied a travel cot either which was ready in my room for arrival. Very clean facilities, staff are friendly and welcoming also. Ideal for a break for a long drive. I've stayed twice now and have been happy both times. The rooms are very spacious and ideal for little ones who have been stuck in a car seat for a long drive. Plenty of running room for them lol!

Only thing is no fridge in room so my daughters milk went funny, so fridges would be a great bonus for travels with pre packed lunch/baby milk. The rooms do get warm, so the fan is highly recommended to use through the night. This again is a very small issue though I am very pleased with my stay here.

Very clean, helpful staff, comfortable room and bed. Disabled facilities room had a large bathroom with rails round the toilet, shower over the bath with a low-sided bath and grab rails which were fine for anyone who has some mobility but wouldn't suit a wheelchair user. Hotel on one level so no stairs and a ramp to the entrance with disabled parking. The hotel is just off the M74 motorway next to the motorway services but we weren't disturbed by any noise and it was a handy location for exploring the area. Great value for those on a tight budget.

Booked a disabled facilities room as both guests have impaired mobility and asked via email before our stay to be as close to the entrance as possible, but when we got there we had a bit of a walk to our room, which was disappointing and a bit of a struggle with our luggage. The bathroom floor was not a non-slip floor which was also disappointing for a disabled facilities room. Insufficient disabled parking spaces close to the entrance, as they were always full when we came back from a trip out.

Could not believe how clean and well presented the room we had was. We chose the cheapest hotel and expected basic and dated interior but it was absolutely brilliant for the price we paid and qe would certainly come again. Staff was extremely polite and welcoming.

The breakfast wasn't great but we didn't expect much and this shouldn't reflect on the hotel as its served separately opposite the hotel.

Spotlessly clean; very quite; simple, bright decor; very comfortable; incredibly good value for money; a perfect stop over on our journey from the Midlands en route to the north of Scotland; located on the motorway services at Gretna Green. Will defiantly stay here again

the snacks in the foyer were a little pricey but we didn't need any snacks, so wasn't a problem for us, but the somewhat high prices might cause others not to buy anything; a bit of a loss for both customers and proprietors. But ithis did not detract from our stay which was otherwise perfect

close to where we wanted to go. It was all on the flat, wide corridors. Plenty of parking. Value for money. Was also restful and quiet

There was no socket at the bedside to plug my cpap machine into. There were 2 sockets to put usb’s into. Luckily they had an extension lead I could use, otherwise I’d have had to sleep the wrong way round in the bed, having to plug my cpap machine into socket at the vanity desk, placing it on a chair. As the property was being refurbished the reception staff was going to advice her manager of the issue and hopefully get it rectified.

Ideal location for our long journey. Simple and easy to find off the motorway. Room was fine and ideal for what we needed with 2 dogs, bathroom was a shower room with good shower. Staff were lovely and keen to help.

I think there should be more plug sockets in the room. There was 2 placed on the opposite side of the room to the bed, for the TV and kettle to plug into. Luckily as we're moving house I had an extention lead packed but more plugs would be expected really. Also, our toilet roll was part way through and I had to ask reception for another. Would be better to perhaps put 2 in the rooms. Also... a small thing, but more bins on the grounds perhaps nearer areas people walk their dogs, and a spare bin bag in the room.
