The room was comfortable and well furnished. The owners were friendly and extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. A good choice of items on the breakfast menu, including a full English. I asked for porridge which was not on the menu and they specially made it for me.

A little way out from the city but just a 10 / 15 min walk to restaurants and bars. The room we had was at the front of the house and over looked a busy road. The traffic noise was quite loud

The room was spacious, clean and airy. The bed itself was so comfortable, the tv at the end had a nice selection of apps and was nicely sized. it is a short, direct route to get to the centre of Carlisle, just 8mins down one road. There is a small car park out front. The gentleman who checked me in and out was lovely and friendly. while I didn't have the breakfast the breakfast looked nice and clean, with a selection of cereals on the side.

The road outside was very loud even with the window shut but can't blame the owners for that.

Very very clean spacious room with a really comfortable bed and duvet. Thoughtfully decorated. Shower hot and clean with toiletries and fluffy towels. Good books and useful maps to read. Friendly helpful greeting and departure. Off road parking. Tasty fresh hot cooked breakfast. Ideally located for M6 motorway and very short walk into town centre.Will definitely stay again.Really good value too.

Don't be put off by external first impressions. Looks a bit scruffy, with discarded cigarette butts floating by the door. Completely different inside. Really friendly, clean, welcoming and well maintained.

I’ve stayed in a few places in Carlisle but never before in this one. I decided to stay here for a change because of the very reasonable price compared to some of the others especially the now rip off Travelodge. I’m so glad I did. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the included in the price breakfast absolutely divine. I will be back!

The host was very nice and accomodating. I asked for fresh fruit for breakfast and although they don't serve that normally, there was always an apple and a tangerine on the plate. Breakfast was very good, the beds extremely comfortable and the whole B&B very clean and well kept. All in all we had a very nice stay.

The bathroom had its challenges. Low water pressure in the shower and no heating in the bathroom. But on the other hand we never asked the host about it - maybe there was a solution to these challenges that we just didn't find out.;-) As mentioned by other guests, the location at a busy street made it very loud. But with ear plugs that's no problem.

Quirky Victorian accommodation. The staff on arrival were very helpful. The member of staff serving breakfast was excellent - friendly and referred to me by my name. The breakfast was excellent.

Just three things. 1. Unfortunately,, I am a light sleeper and the close proximity to a busy feeder road to the M6 made for a poor night's sleep. 2. It took me ages to work out how to get hot water from the shower. 3. The TV in bedroom 2 could be upgraded to a Smart TV. The current TV resembled something from the 1990's with poor screen resolution and out of date functionality.

The hotel is conveniently situated for easy access to the M6. It's a lovely period building with many original features. It had everything I required including on site, off road parking. The host was very courteous and helpful, carrying my suitcase upstairs for me. Everything was clean and the bed was very cmfortable. I was provided with a tasty cooked breakfast with a cereal option and orange juice.

The hotel is situated on a road with a lot of passing traffic so if you're not used to traffic noise I would suggest some ear plugs just in case. This did the trick for me.

Breakfast was offered to me on arrival - included in the price. They asked what I wanted and what time I would be down and made sure they had it all out ready for me. Never known this before! Was very impressed.

A bath would have been nice. But all things considered, very good value for money. As it was a weekend in the summer in a supposedly expensive area.

Absolutely amazing service from a lovely fellow, breakfast blew me away and set me up perfectly for the day, will be staying there every year when on the way to Bloodstock. The kind gentleman running the establishment also lifted all of the bags my group had up the stairs. We were going to a festival... They were heavy and there were many.

at breakfast there was not very much staff interaction, for instance once we had received what we had ordered, no staff came to ask if everything was ok or if we wanted anything else. I was going to ask for more toast but never got the chance as no one came into the breakfast room.
