From the moment we were greeted when we walked in, to the last when we left, the owners were welcoming, friendly, informative and couldn't do enough for us. The room was comfortable, relaxing and well maintained.....felt like being at home. The sea view from the room just couldn't be beaten. And with it being in its own well established grounds, the lodge was not overlooked by anyone else, so there was an incredible sense of privacy as well. Breakfast was great and in a relaxed dining room where you could chat with other guests if you desired.

The only negative is that Harlech itself didn't have much in the way to offer in terms of restaurants or evening entertainment...... Also, a small fridge in rooms or communal area might benefit future guests.

The Crown Lodge in Harlech is an impressive building which stands high on a hillside in Harlech. The rooms are very large, spotlessly clean, with a lovely en-suite and fantastic panoramic views over the beach and sea below with the Llyn Peninsula spanning the horizon. The bed is large and is the most comfortable my wife and I have ever slept on, bar none. Breakfast is excellent with plentiful choices of cooked food plus toast, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and tea. The hosts Linda and Mark are a friendly couple making for a completely relaxing stay.

There is nothing negative to say about The Crown Lodge.

We had a wonderful time at the Crown Lodge. The view from the property is out of this world. You see the dunes, beach and entire bay and mountains far into the distance. We had a sea view room with unobstructed views. The lodge is a beautiful old house, full of authentic woorden details. I loved all the different wallpapers. Our room was big, very clean and had a very comfortable bed. Breakfast had many options and was delicious. The couple running the hotel was very friendly and chatty. We enjoyed our time in Harlech very much.

Absolutely amazing stay in a large, comfortable room with incredible views. We appreciated the table and chairs, where we could enjoy our cup of tea and drink in the stunning scenery across the golf course and bay, with mountains in the background. The hosts were friendly and welcoming without being in any way intrusive. Breakfast was first class, freshly made to order and perfectly cooked. A superb location for visiting the many local attractions. A thoroughly relaxing break. Thank you so much.

The outlook was lovely. We did stay long enough to enjoy the garden. The views were incredible over estuary and distant mountains. Inside the house the furnishings were comfortable and very clean. The bedroom was large & very comfortable bed. Shower facilities all good. Staff were attentive and obliging when we requested fresh towels etc. Thanks to all the staff.

A slight disappointment in seeing the tubs at front door neglected. Would have been more welcoming if had better display.

The hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly. The beach is stunning and unspoilt and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. The ice cream shop is lovely definitely visit here.

The town of harlech is a lovely little town but plan ahead for eating out. There are a couple of little cafes and a pub but not much else in the way of eating out. Barmouth is nearby and they have quite a few choices. That said I would go back but I would plan ahead for the evenings.

The bedroom and the bathroom were a very good size with a beautiful view of Harlech's beach and golf course.

Although Harlech appeared large it is in fact quite small and despite the heritage of the castle and the beautiful beach there isn't much choice of evening food or restaurants only opening on certain days between set times. Be prepared to travel further afield or book up in advance.

This wonderful place exceeded all my expectations. The room was spacious and in person larger than what it looked like in the photos. Additionaly it was pristine clean when we arrived and it was cleaned every day during our stay. The highlight though was the stunning view of the sea. The friendly hosts were always available to assist with any queries or recommendations for the area and were kind to give us a ride to the train station on our last day because it was rainy. The breakfast was delicious, with a range of options to choose from. One of my favorite aspects was the great surroundings to sit out and take in the beautiful scenery. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

The location was perfect, views to die for you will not want to leave your room. A short walk into town. The lodge is high on the hill and very private with fabulous gardens and plenty of parking. A perfect place to use as a base to visit . Not far from the train stations if you don't want to use the car. The Deor was in keeping with house and had plenty of interesting items to look at. Would recomend this to everyone.

Husband loves a full cooked breakfast when we are away, and although there was quite a good breakfast option it did not give the full monty as an option. Lots of shops not open even though it was half term.

Lovely location. The room was just right. Beautiful gardens. Plenty of parking and managed a walk down the road to restaurants.

I was under the impression I upset the lady owner as we did not fill in the pre breakfast order form the first morning after being told by the gentleman that booked us in that ‘as long as you order for Sunday breakfast (as only one of us in the kitchen) don’t worry too much’. The lady that first morning was clearly put out about it. I felt a little uncomfortable but wrongly accused. Otherwise a lovely stay
