Room well presented with all the expected accessories present. Cleaning was thorough and efficient. Meals were consistent with the standard of the hotel and efficiently delivered to table. The management thoughtfully provided entertainment for those remaining in the hotel during the evening. Staff excellent.

The lounge area of the hotel needs work to make it more appealing. Since most guests will pass through or near to the lounge when first entering the premises, a good first impression is important. Currently, the lounge area does not reflect the standard of most other aspects of this hotel.

The staf were very friendly and the hotel was central

My bacon and poached egg were not cooked enough for me so the fat was floppy on the bacon and the egg was snotty.

It was fine.

We had an evening meal --3 courses for £20. The soup was fine. The salad was poor with no mayo or dressings offered. Bland boiled potatoes. Not appetising at all. The desert was a gluten free crumble. It was poor. It had horrid pastry with a little fruit and crumble on top. Gluten free pastry can be tricky to make. For a crumble they would be better dispensing with the pastry, adding more fruit and topping it with a simple gluten free crumble mix . So the hotel was fine but our food !!

I have stayed here over the past several years a few times. For what you pay, it's excellent value for money. This time we had a basic room, which I think was better than a 'superior' sea view/castle view room, which tend to be busier so perhaps a bit tattier. Bed very comfy, room large and clean, Breakfast was ok for an extra £6 each, you couldn't buy this elsewhere for less than £12.

Hotel is getting a bit tatty and needs money spending on some tidying, eg old wiring in the small dining room, and obvious missing pictures on the walls. WiFi too weak in our room, had to sit in a public area Parking is on street, which is lucky dip. Suggest off the busy main road is best near the level crossing Central heating was off, and front doors wide open during the day, so rather chilly Observation, this hotel is used by coach touring parties, which leave shortly after 9am, which means that non coach parties their breakfast is 9am or later.

The property situated in the centre of Criccieth and is very close to train station. The room were clean, tidy and lovely. The silver lining of this hotel is the staffs. The staffs were very warm and helpful. The standard check-in time for every hotel is 14:00. But I had to attend a wedding on 1400. So, I needed an earlier check-in. I asked the staffs if they could help me and they were so understanding and flexible. They even helped me with my health issues. I have never experienced a hotel with such helpful staffs in UK. I was so grateful. Thank you so much.

A comfortable bed and quiet room meant a good night's sleep. Although the hotel was not doing evening meals, there was a reasonable variety of choices along the main road and we had a really good pub meal and real ale just a five minute walk away.

Coach tours frequent this deceptively large hotel and they gave us an allocatd breakfast slot to avoid the rush. This was unsuitable for us, but they did offer an alternative time which worked out. Also be aware that there is no car park. It was free to park on the main road, but you might not find a spot close to the hotel.

Room was very clean of and of generous size. Bathroom modern and fully functional. Food plain but plenty of it with a good choice of dishes. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Booking in/out very efficient and whilst the hotel no longer has its own car park, they have negotiated a very satisfactory arrangement with the local council to use the nearby public car park.

All fine although some of the public areas are a little tired and would benefit from re-decoration and imaginative new layout. We have no complaints.

Friendly staff, lovely old hotel, close to lots of places in the area. Breakfast was nice. Waiters beyond lovely and helpful.

The room we stayed in was very clean but a little tired. The shower needed re grouting and carpet could have been hoovered better! The curtain rail came off when we tried to draw the curtains! We looked out onto a roof which needed a clean also!

Located right at the heart of Criccieth and within easy reach of the beach and the Criccieth castle. The room was very spacious, with a street view. There is parking available nearby for long stays, for which the hotel can provide a free permit. There is a lift to all floors.

The faucets on the bathroom were very short for the sink, making it extremely difficult to wash hands. Despite the high ceilings, it was still possible to hear people walking (and snoring) on the upstairs room.
