We stayed in a lovely King room in the lodge in the grounds of the hotel. The room was tastefully decorated, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Staff were welcoming and engaging, breakfast and dinner choice really good, we dined in the hotel both evenings. Hotel ideally located for visiting local towns.

The property is absolutely beautiful. The colour scheme is really calming and feels very luxurious. The staff were so kind and even took my luggage to my room after a long drive. The room was big and super clean and decorated to a high standard with little finishing touches which made for a comfortable stay. I had the best sleep as the mattress felt brand new. Breakfast was really tasty the next morning with warm pastries and a selection of hot food to choose from. I never usually leave reviews but I was so happy with my stay here I’ve booked again for August.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile and made to feel very welcome . We travelled with our 2 dogs who were also well received and cared for with treats, water bowls and even a cosy bed each . The room was spotlessly clean well designed with a clear attention to detail an absolute pleasure to stay here . We had an evening meal that was delicious and well presented and with an atmosphere that made you feel relaxed and amongst friends , keep doing what you're doing guys service is amazing . We really enjoyed breakfast which was well prepared with a good choice , served in a relaxed and homely dining room by Helen who was so friendly and kind really setting you up for a lovely day . Everyone here is warm and friendly from the manager the bar staff the waitress and even the gardener this really was a fabulous place to stay , sadly we were only here for 2 days I could easily stay here for a month so plan to return super soon .

We had a room in the lodge. Ideally sized for a couple with good facilities, king sized bed and lovely walk in shower. Room was to the rear of the adjacent lodge, and as we arrived at night didn't seem as appealing as those on the front. When we awoke in the morning and opened the curtains our view changed, we were greeted with stunning views over the country side and in the adjacent field a herd of alpacas, some chickens and two goats, welcomed us. Plenty of choice for breakfast, which sustained us into the afternoon. The Yorkshire breakfast was delicious. We ate at the hotel in the evening and the food and choice was good, at a range of prices to suit everyone. All the staff were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Breakfast was served in the garden room, which was chilly in the morning. We did visit in January. Likewise in the evening if you had a table in the restaurant by a window, this could be a little drafty. The hotel did have traditional and gas fires warming these spaces though. Get a table away from the windows/doors.

Wow wow wow.. Read the reviews and they were all true.. Amazing little find. We had travelled for over four hrs and staying here was like a big hug.. Staff amazing.. Simon double checked it was the room I was looking when booking and messaged me back.. Evie was super friendly in the restaurant that evening.. Food and room 11/10.. Then the Breakfast.. Unreal.. You could teach others how to be exceptional with standards.. In all areas.. Accommodation, staff, and food.. and special mention to David who served us breakfast .. Did I say the staff were exceptional it was a pleasure to meet him .. Fantastic stay thankyou.

That we were only staying 1 night on our way to meet with family.

Everything from arrival to departure. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The food was delicious and the room was very comfortable. Our room had a lovely private open area to sit looking over the gardens. The facilities were very clean and family friendly. The breakfast is magnificent. Pets are welcome too. The location was great. Very close to Fountains Abbey and Harrogate. Plenty of parking. Our room was separate from the main inn but an umbrella is provided in the room, just in case. Gun cupboards too, if that’s your thing!

Nothing… although the towel rail in the bathroom was very hot, we managed to switch it off. The bedroom angle lamps look great but the mechanism was ineffective and so tricky to place where required. Maybe, with some effort, we might have been able to resolve this too. All in all… minor things.

Really lovely large room with XL bed as we took a dog with us so did not stay in the main building. Really secure for the dog as had its own patio area and could let the dog have a run in the beer garden without having to access the garden area through the pub. Plenty of parking. Food was lovely too in the evening and breakfast . I was unfortunately ill when we travelled here and didn’t want to go to breakfast the second morning so the lovely staff in the restaurant did a breakfast take-away that I had in the room. Dog also offered treats and a comfy dog bed. Really good location for exploring. Will happily recommend and visit again in the future.

Nothing to dislike.

Everything was fine - clean and small but nice rooms. We did mention we were coming back to the rooms very late at night as we were at a wedding nearby and the manager ( I assumed) told us to use the fire escape stairs to get into the building if the doors were closed.

However we were walking around for 20 mins at 4am trying to find them to no luck. We later realised the gate he meant was locked too and luckily someone answered the phone otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get in! We weren't offered an apology when we mentioned it in the morning, but other than that everything else was very nice.

The warm welcome upon our arrival from The Inn team with attention to my wife's dietary requirements with the little jug of soya milk for the room. Front of House ensured Room 6 was aired with heating switched on. Sunday lunch stye lite bites were made available at the bar and in the garden which were sumptuous with ice cool beers on a early summers day. Breakfast was attentive ensuring all items required were prepared and served with professional service with a smile.

Just one small issue with the veranda rooms adjacent in the garden as people walk past a muslin drape would protect one's modesty when stepping out from the wet room.
