despite arriving a little later than planned, i was greeted by Carol at the door and made welcome. Carol could see i was very tired after a 315 mile journey and offered to bring me some food to save going out to find food so late. This was really appreciated. The room provided a glorious vista across open field and a rather spectacular sunset. the breakfast was perfect.
I was lucky that i was the only guest in the part of the facility where my room was and had sole use of the bathroom else this could have been an issue if waiting for around four other guests to finish using the bathroom before getting the chance to complete morning ablutions. Th wifi was an easy log in but the phone signal, despite trying to use wifi, was poor.

Carol the host was really lovely. She greeted us at the door and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. The room was beautiful with great bathroom (en-suite). The bed was very comfortable. We like medium- hard mattress as this was, The views were beautiful. I wish we had booked the breakfast which smelt amazing!! I would recommend a longer stay. We only stayed 1 night. Would highly recommend. Thank you!!
Only stayed 1 night. So no negitives. Wished it was longer.

A warm welcome from the owners to this delightful, architecturally quirky B&B set in the Hertfordshire countryside. Tastefully furnished, we had a comfortable bedroom overlooking the fields and a pre-booked private, adjacent bathroom. Be aware there are quite a few stairs to climb if you are not too active. A magnificent cooked breakfast and the delights of wandering pheasants in the garden and friendly horses in the adjacent stables who are happy to be petted under the supervision of their riders.

I have travelled for work, nevertheless, I've had a lovely and relaxing stay! The lodge is located in the middle of the quaint English countryside, so my sleep was not disturbed by any noise or light pollution. The breakfast was scrumptious, fresh and the hosts have ensured that my dietary needs as a vegetarian are fully met. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was adequate. The hosts were amiable and the lodge as well as the surroundings were beautifully kept.

Peaceful, tranquil perfect farm location and amazing characterful property, felt like we were deep in the sticks. Couldn't hear any roads/traffic. Carol and Bob were really friendly yet gave us total space. Breakfast was champion. Can't wait to visit again. We were in the apartment which meant as a couple we had space and could separate for sleeping due to snoring lol. Such a beautiful scenic location with amazing views. We only live 20 min drive away but were transported. Maximum escapism ❤ thanks Carol and Bob

My breakfasts were very good. Do not eat meat so they did provide what I had asked for. Website did offer "continental breakfast" or full English but apparently that is not correct. Loved the location in the countryside and all the farm animals.
There was no mirror in the bedroom which meant going to the bathroom to do hair, make-up etc. The curtains need to be attended to as the pulley out of sight and they have been pulled apart which means they do not now close properly.

We stayed over for a London visit, in the apartment room and a king size double room between the four of us for a similar price to what we'd normally pay for one room. The rooms and facilities were all amazing and with lovely hosts, really homely and helpful. Cooked breakfast was great. The apartment room includes a living room with sofa bed in addition to the double bedroom, plus shower over bath and a lovely kitchenette with microwave and fridge. The other room had a luxurious (super?) king size bed, dressing table, etc - suitable for weddings. The farmhouse b and b is situated within a neat and tidy farm including stables and 2 sheep called Ant and Dec. Plenty of parking. It's in rolling and peaceful Hertfordshire countryside, yet paradoxically within 15 minutes drive of Luton Airport and a huge Asda. The whole place was incredibly quiet and peaceful. From Luton Airport Parkway station we were able to get into London in 35 minutes. Thoroughly recommend and would visit again.
What's not to like?!

There was no indication given that there was a locked gate at the entrance of the property, I got to it and there was no indication how it worked. I tried to phone for assistance, but there wasn't any signal. It was supposed to be sensor driven, but my average sized car didn't trigger these sensors going in or out. There were some buttons on some posts either side of the gate which DID open the gate. I wasn't impressed that I wasn't told of this security gate or how to use it.

Bob & Carol are lovely and welcoming with checking in, on arrival and throughout our stay. The breakfast was really good and we even went slightly "off menu" which they did no fuss. Bacon and eggs spot on Chef [Bob] ;-) In the summer we feel it would be a really nice place for a short stay, lovely gardens, sheep and horses around and in a great country location.
The house could do with a little bit of decorating in places, but it is an old house, so we just took that as part of the house's character.

A truly magnificent bedroom. The description does not do it justice. Massive comfy bed. Very high quality linen. Beautiful bathroom. Lovely views. Such a peaceful place. Very relaxing. The owners are super friendly, flexible and welcoming. Can't wait to return.
A minor point but the toiletries and water bottles could be more eco friendly ie not plastic. But the friendliness of the owners make up for it!
