The cottage was lovely & cosy ideal for what we needed

There was a strange smell as you entered the kitchen, I could only think it was the cleaning products used. Quite dusty in places, but found some antibacterial wipes, there was a bit of milk and sugar bowl hadn't been washed out, so was stuck with sugar in it. We had taken our own anyway. Said had a garden view, could only think it was the field from standing in the car park park as the cottage didn't have a garden. Only had 1 towel each for shower so you would need your own tea towels, hand towels, washing up liquid etc...

Lovely location. Family run, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Self contained 'cottages' very nicely appointed beds and bathroom, very clean and well equipped kitchen area. Full pub menu choice also if you prefer Nice rural setting, and handy for Filey, Briddlington and Scarborough. Also great walking, both country trails and coastal paths, Cleveland way. Great stay here, AND very reasonable price. Good value for really good stay.

Nothing to not like. Loved it.

The cottage we stayed in was at the side of the pub who owned/let the cottages. The cottage was really cosy and in a good location. My daughter enjoyed playing on the children’s play area in the pub garden which was literally a few yards away from the cottage. The play area consisted of swings and a climbing frame with a slide.

The only thing that let the place down was that I had to mention to the owners the fridge and oven had not been cleaned since previous occupants, which was disappointing but everything else was clean enough. I had to disinfect/wipe up dark brown old spillage stains in the fridge and the oven’s grill tray was completely full of old grease. I only realised this when I put the oven on to warm up and the whole place smelled of hot old grease. The owners did apologise for this and thanked me for letting them know so they could pass the feedback onto the cleaner.

lovely little pub, with a nice enclosed back yard. lots of benches and a great play area outside for the children! there's even a playgym upstairs for the little ones to enjoy! we had our breakfast up there and the kids played whilst we was waiting for breakfast which was a great help in keeping them entertained! staff were really friendly and everything was clean and smelt fresh. Family room was a great size and the beds were soft and comfortable! there were several options for breakfast and they were perfect sizing! we ordered food in the evening and the kids portions were massive! really nice, would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family. Thank you guys!

Breakfast excellent. Had evening meal which was very good. Quick service and meal hot. Staff very nice. Only stayed one night on route elsewhere so satisfied with my choice.

Nit picking - but there were two adults in room and only one chair. One had to sit on bed balancing the mug of tea/ coffee. Frightened of spilling on bedding! A little coffee table would have been nice too.? But not seen any other room so there may a table in those.

Location excellent. Breakfast was perfect served pretty quickly. We did not choose the full english but what we did have was a good-choice. Plenty of condiments in room for tea and coffee. And bar downstairs with plenty of food choice each day. Kids play outside in a safe area out back away from road.

Could have had nice white sheets on the beds. And no side cabinets to bed. No lamp in childrens room. But the couple are renovating this pub so in time they will have what they need

Good size property, clean. ideal location for Filey and Bridlington. Nice that the pub wasn't a late night drinking pub and plenty to keep the little one entertained.

Being picky but could do with a pole for opening the skylights window and blinds. Also a sachet or 2 of tea n coffee would have been ideal.

Location was good, quiet. The cottage had everything we needed, good to have the pub nearby, good meals.

It was a bit dusty in places in the cottage, skirting boards. But it was generally good cleanliness wise.
