Lovely room nice furnishings. Comfortable bed . Bathroom and shower great. Nice bar area. Didn't eat there so can't comment. Breakfast is left in fridge for you

Nothing really just felt its a bit impersonal when u check out and don't speak to anyone just leave the key and let yourself out the door. Otherwise everything was very pleasant.

We stayed in the Deluxe Double room which includes a balcony, and it was fantastic. It was comfortable, stylish and had plenty of space. Plenty of parking outside. The bathroom is modern and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfast is lovely and already in your fridge when you arrive - croissants, ham, cheese, jams and butter, cereals and milk - lots of options and all fresh and tasty. We had ours on the balcony and really enjoyed it. Great value for money and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We paid for late checkout and the message wasn't passed on to the cleaner so we were knocked on several times in the morning which was a shame, but it wasn't bad enough to knock any stars off. We had a few issues with the restaurant/bar downstairs but this has nothing to do with the hotel stay and I'll leave a separate review for that.

Room was comfy and clean. Heating was easy to use. Bathroom was clean and shower was good.

Walls a little thin. I laughed at the tv and the next door neighbour knocked on the wall. Our tv was so low we actually had subtitles on so it wasn't the tv they could hear. Really?! Breakfast was a little disappointing. I thought I just assumed it would be in the breakfast room and not a fridge in our room. However the cost was fine and we ate out.

A friendly place that the owners have obviously invested loys of money in. The decor is excellent, the rooms are well thought out with a very comfortable mattress and fittings, downstairs in the bar area is lovely, great service and cocktails as well as excellent restaurant food, having stayed in other local places I would put the Capon Tree is the category of small boutique type hotel. The hotel is ideally situated in Jedburgh, near to Mary Queen of Scots House and the Jedburgh Castle, free on street parking is available.

Was expecting to go to restaurant for breakfast however a continental breakfast was provided in the room in fridge. Provided cereal and croissants with fresh milk orange juice and good coffee. Made my work trip very easy as I could leave when ready.

Nothing of note.

I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary when booking The Capon Tree Town house for the final night stay after 6 days driving the NC500 but upon arrival had a lovely greeting and shown to our room, fantastic, not at all what I imagined having stood outside unloading the car and glancing towards the building, character on the outside and a modern twist inside, lovely room with everything you could possibly need, including continental breakfast in a wicker basket. A relaxing bar area with very competitively priced drinks, didn't try the evening menu but most definitely will next time. A fantastic one night stay (wish it had been longer) and can't wait to return. Would be perfect for a weekend break!

Would have preferred a 'full english' breakfast but totally get the continental in the room.

There was o lovely ambience in the bar/restaurant and the staff were great. Very dog friendly. Bed was very comfortable with fresh linen and towels. Great continental breakfast provided in fridge in room.

The menu is a little limited if you don’t eat fish .. however the chef was willing to make the chicken Caesar salad from the starters to a main dish.

We stayed in a very nicely decorated room. The bathroom was really good and the continental breakfast in the room was just what we needed. There was a mini fridge outside the room which they had stocked up with water and milk which was really handy. Parking was available outside the front or back of the hotel. View from our window wasn't amazing but we weren't really there for the view so that's not a complaint, just an observation!

The windows could do with improving but there was a note on them to say that they were in the process of having work done to them. Must cost a fortune to do those sorts of jobs as I imagine the windows are listed. Other than that the room was excellent - it felt very upmarket.

My wife and I were hiking The Borders Abbeys Way trail. The Capon Tree House was one of our overnight stays, literally right on the trail. Lovely evening meal and a continental breakfast in our room with enough food in the fridge for us to make a packed lunch for the hike onwards to Hawick. Note, they do not serve a cooked breakfast.
