Mourne Country House Bed and Breakfast

The breakfast prepared by Emma was amazing and Gareth with his friendliness made the stay a great experience. The smiles from little Faith did warm the guests hearts. The bed breakfast is located at the edge of the Mourne mountains with lots of options for challenging hikes and also jogging in nearby parks. This is a place for those that seek relaxation and tranquility. The only noises heard are darks barking nearby else absolute silence and a great sleep in the very comfortable beds.

Breakfast was offered with delicious homemade muffins, orange juice, and cereal in addition to the perfectly cooked and tasty full Irish. The hosts were extremely friendly with excellent knowledge and details of the local area. The location and house were beautiful. The other outstanding feature was the attention to all details in the room and facilities within the main house.

Nothing everything was first class.

This was my 2nd time staying at Gareth and Emma's fabulous B&B. I booked it as it was close to where I was hiking in the Mournes. I love everything about this 5 star B&B. All the small touches, the fab breakfasts, the small jar of honey that gave me the energy to complete the full Mourne Wall Challenge. This stay was made even more special by the fact that their daughter was born during it so it was an honour to be a guest during this exciting time. Thanks for the jar of honey from your daughter :)

The location is stunning, the building itself is beautiful and the hosts so welcoming. Our room was perfect, great shower and super comfy bed. Breakfast was amazing and Gareth went out of his way to find things out for us overnight. We absolutely loved our stay and have managed to squeeze another night in later on our trip as we couldn’t go without having one more night!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Can’t say enough good things about this beautiful rural property or the small family that runs it. Big comfortable room and sparkling clean too. The other facilities were wonderful too and oh my, what an awesome breakfast. The setting is mountain and pasture, right near Kilkeel. If you’re in this area, stay here!🍺🇮🇪🤓

This was our 2nd stay at Mourne Country House. It was fantastic to see Gareth & Emma again. This time, we had the extra privilege to meet their gorgeous baby Faith. Anyone looking for excellent food, outstanding cleanliness & lovely hosts in a stunning location, then this is the perfect place to visit!!! We look forward to our next visit. Anne & Diane

The hosts were so lovely, little Faith especially so, she was very sweet. The breakfast was delicious with freshly baked goods as well really added an extra lovely touch. The property and views were beautiful and the water pressure in the shower was next level amazing. All round brilliant place to stay!

Fantastic experience at this lovely B&B: we loved the house, natural surroundings, amazing views to mountain & sea, the delicious breakfast,... But most of all, Garreth & Emma's welcomeness and warmth that made us feel at home. 100% recommendable.

Honestly, everything exceeded our expectations in such a positive manner.

Lovely, clean and comfortable B&B. Gareth and Emma pulled out all the stops. The breakfast was superb and Gareth was so friendly and hospitable. It was a delight to spend the time there, even if we were rather busy getting ready for a wedding. There were so many nice touches.

Like a lot of rural Northern Ireland, you'll need a car to get to the B&B but that's the trade-off for a lovely location with good hikes. This place is really worth recommending.

This is a beautiful country B&B, the location is great just 4mins out of Kilkeel, breakfast was great with local produce and Gareth and Emma are lovely hosts. This was our second visit to MCH and hope to be back again, I would highly recommend this accommodation, close to the sea and the mountains.
