Second time being here. Fabulous, quirky hotel and the staff are amazing - in particular Nicola and another girl whose name I didn't get and who also seemed to be a manager (dark hair). The location of the hotel is brilliant and I love that there is a great beer garden (with live music at the weekend) and a cocktail bar.

The hotel is still new so there are some minor things that could be addressed such as - there needs to be more lighting in the room (our room had one spotlight above the desk which made the room very dark), some of the rooms get very warm when it is sunny so fans would be welcomed, a hand towel holder in the ensuite and it would be nice if there were more warm options for breakfast rather than just a fry. All very small things that don't take away from the fact that the hotel is great.

I travelled alone the girls on reception were very welcoming, reassured me that if I needed anything at all just ask . Nichola showed me round I have never met a nicer girl . I now know that the hotel wooden floors are from RVH etc really interesting 😊

Breakfast was lovely but wasn’t explained how it worked , I seem there was yoghurts etc but wasn’t given a menu just told that it was small or large breakfast wasn’t offered fruit juice etc not complaining about food it was delicious. Just wasn’t the service I expected!

The cooked breakfast was a full Irish breakfast excellent. Rather large 2 of eggs, bacon, sausage, bread etc. I did manage quite a bit of it. The continental breakfast was good too. We were there on a Tuesday and the music was great. Live eyuks! Evening food good pizza and steak sandwich.

Car parking is around the corner however we were able to move the car outside the hotel after 5pm.

Didn't have the breakfast, they were doing continental. Kitchen closed early the previous evening as it was quiet so I had to eat out. Room was lovely and the girl who showed me my room was so helpful. The views were beautiful, over looking the sea. I loved how the room was decorated and the bench table along the wall was really good and useful.

Everything was good except the kitchen closed early. Partly my fault as I went for a walk before eating. They closed at seven because it was quiet.

Bar and bedroom decor was lovely. Bathroom was lovely. We arrived too late for dinner, but the chef, wĥo was off duty, advised that a local pizza place could deliver, if we needed food.

We both found it tricky getting the shower to turn hot, but that was a minor issue. There was no information book, and we weren't sure if breakfast was included, or what time checkout was. Again, not too big a deal

Check-in easy, staff very pleasant, location perfect! The room was beautiful and the view out over the sea was worth every penny! It’s worth ringing the property before booking to ensure you can get a sea view room. The refurbishment is really fantastic and we’ll definitely chose to stay here again.

It would benefit from a little more lighting in the bathroom or even a little make-up mirror as the lighting was low level throughout.

The Avoca hotel was brilliant in every way, our room was the very top and the view out on to the promenade & ocean was unreal, the staff were so pleasant & attentive, & the breakfast was delicious 😋 I would definitely rate this hotel 100 times better & cheaper than another for some reason popular hotel in ballycastle. Thank you for an unreal stay :)

It is very central and the Sea view is amazing. Very modern and new!

The family room is small, with the cot in it there is not a lot of extra room so luggage was tight, it was quite loud at night, the music was outdoors downstairs underneath our room and could be heard in the room until late, traffic and people on the streets could be heard also

nice hotel in new castle. very characteristic and part of the pub/restaurant below. very good value for money. very recommended. Food pretty good, both for breakfast and dinner.

i liked everything. however our room was above the beer garden. Being sunday night it was all very quiet. Not sure if it would have been the same on a friday and saturday night.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The room we had was a king with a sea view which was incredible. Everything was spotless. We enjoyed some amazing cocktails and the roaring wood burner in the restaurant kept us warm.

This is only a small downside but the breakfast was continental and quiet basic. A good cooked breakfast on a cold morning would have been perfect. But I presume it was the time of the year.
