The hotel was in a lovely location and easy to find. Staff were polite and helpful. Because we both came from work we each had a car and this was not a problem. Doors locked at 11pm but a telephone number on the door was answered almost instantly and we were inside within a couple of minutes. It was really quiet and we were the only ones in at breakfast (midweek 9am). Bedroom was really dark which was lovely. Beautiful room. Would definitely visit again

For me the bed was a little on the hard side but my partner was happy with it - can’t please everyone in this department ;)

Every now and again I stay in a hotel that I am reluctant to tell anyone else about....I would have liked to keep this one my secret. What a great hotel, set in beautiful grounds. A great welcome from the staff, with a quick check in process. The room was fantastic value for the money, a large comfortable bed, and a great bathroom with a decent shower for a change. After a great nights sleep, sat down too a beautiful cooked breakfast, piping hot.....again makes a change.....Will probably be in the area on a more regular basis now, and will definitely come back to this hotel.

Wasn't much not to like to be honest, the only thing which could do with a bit of improvement was the signage to the breakfast room. It was quite funny after wandering around the carpark for five minutes with a few other guests looking for it, to finally sit down and then have people staring through the windows pleading "how did you get in there"

Clean, comfortable and peaceful. Just what I needed for a few days to relax and recover when I was feeling the effects of burnout. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was excellent with a nice view over the field at the back giving me a lovely moonrise in the evening.

Not much - I chose it as it was peaceful so I can't complain that there isn't much around unless you have a 2-5 minute drive to Cottingham or Willerby. The grounds are well maintained and nice to walk in weather permitting. As everyone would like things to be cheaper but I think it was a fair price for what I got however if breakfast was included in the price it would have been a nice touch.

The room was large and well ventilated, but the sound proofing was excellent (there is large road construction immediately next to the hotel at the moment and I didn’t hear a thing!) The bed was really big and comfortable and everything was spotless. The shower and bath were a great size and had good water pressure. Breakfast in the morning was freshly made and very good. I think this place is a real gem, and such great value for money. It’s so handy for work I will definitely be back.

I didn’t see any lifts, so if I had a large or heavy case it might have been a problem.

The food was absolutely amazing!!! The chef has done a brilliant job. Many people commented on how well the food was. 3 course meal plus evening buffet and everything was first class!!!

I went to lazaats for my father in laws wedding. The DJ was supposed to start at 6:30, he didn't arrive til 7:45 and started at 8:10. I helped him unload his equipment to make things quicker. He didn't offer any thanks,he was rude. When it came to the "first dance" his first words where " we better get on with it then". Also towards the end of the first dance he said " come on everyone, get dancing" in a very rude way. He didn't engage with the audience at all and was an absolute disgrace. At the end of the evening he played some songs and then just cut the music and turned lights off, no warning this was the end of the evening. For a lovely place like lazaats, the DJ was a disgrace. He needs to be removed from lazaats dj duties.

The Lazaat is well located between Cottingham and Beverley just off the main road. Our room was quite large with a king size bed and a good sized bathroom. We had a good meal in the restaurant cooked to order with fresh ingredients. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of cereals etc and a full English cooked to order, and remarkable good value for £9.50. Staff in the restaurant and reception were friendly and helpful.

Getting in and out of the bath tub for a shower was difficult as there was no grab rail on the wall - this is a common problem in many hotels and one which is easily remedied.

Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable. Staff very welcoming and helpful - I felt a bit cold in the room so rang to ask if they had any blankets, no blankets available but was told they could give us an extra duvet which was absolutely fine. 10 minutes later a lovely big duvet arrived! Food was beautiful and portion sizes very good! Facilities great, we stayed in room 3 and wow, what a beautiful bathroom!

Some instructions on how to use the radiator would be helpful.

Stayed one night as daughter had uni interview the following day which was located approx 15 mins drive away. Clean room, friendly staff, I asked for an iron in the morning and this was brought to my room very quickly. Quiet location (we had a room at the back of the property away from the road). Large twin room. My daughter was really pleased as we had two double beds not singles and still lots of space in the room. Good shower and two towels decent sized towels each (good for those with long hair) We didn’t have food here so cannot comment on that.

Access from the room to reception was outdoors and not covered. As I drove along the road approaching the hotel and saw the sign ‘traveller site’ pointing towards the hotel.

Room very comfortable and warm. Mattress soft, but comfortable. Tea and coffee and kettle facilities. Large bathroom with bath and shower, all acceptable. heated towel rail and good quality towels. Breakfast and evening meals served very good quality food. Special mention for Max, the waiter serving evening meal. He had excellent people skills and attended to our every needs. He made our evening even more enjoyable. The stairway with the tree foliage and fairy lights was stunning, and the room for the wedding ceremony was very nice. Wedding very well organised, except for one minor point below. We stayed three nights. Would stay again and recommend.

It took us ages to work out the light switches and plugs. You have to have a light switched on in order for the plugs to work. we had a QR code to scan to explain this, but not very well. Also the mattress had a thin cover on the top, (not really a mattress protector). One small point with the wedding arrangements. We all met downstairs in the bar and we had just brought our drinks when the organiser said that we must all move into the ceremony room and leave our drinks behind. needless to say when we came out they had gone. So, a waste of £12. Anyway, just minor points to be fair.

Staff warm and welcoming, service was great even though the hotel was busy with a wedding reherseal. The food at dinner and breakfast was great and dinner clearly was not rushed, despite the commotion with 200 wedding guests. My room was clean and in goood order. The bed was a little firm (hence my Comfort score), but overall very happy. Plenty of parking available.
