The room was a good size, clean and tidy. The bed was huge and very comfortable. We didn't stay for breakfast although we did have a carvery meal the day before, which was great value for money.

I think we were given a room that would be suitable for disabled clients, even though we are not disabled. It was very awkward to have a shower due to the disability shower chair fitted to the wall. The shower area was a "wet room" and had a VERY small drain. This resulted in the floor area becoming flooded and very slippery. There were no safety slip mats, just bathroom towels, which we had to use to "mop up" the water. The hand basin was very tiny and this proved difficult to use for filling the kettle from the welcome tray. The entrance lobby was a little untidy with used glasses, milk jugs, etc when we arrived and this had not been cleaned by the time we had left by the following morning.

The staff were all efficient, helpful, and genuinely friendly (no strained fake smiles). I take this to be a sign of good management. They went out of their way to satisfy my special requests, whilst sticking to their policies. The room was spacious and spotless. Everything, like the WiFi and good-sized TV, worked. The meals were excellent value and fresh , with a surprising number of vegetarian options for a carvery. When I notified them electronically that my train was late and changed my restaurant booking to the latest possible, they called and offered to pack a take-away meal if I was any later.

On the last evening, when I'd invited a friend to dine with me, they had a very busy restaurant and may not have had enough staff to check that the Ladies Loo was as perfect as the rest of my stay had been.

It was clean and comfortable, it catered for my disabled parents which were overly impressed with their room, found it comfortable and suitable for their needs.

The staff could have probably been a little more attentive as when I arrived as the second part of the party and trying to check in she was serving me and then what I presume was another team member came to the bar to see if she had paid her bill, so the staff member that was serving me at the time went to the till next to try and see if her transaction was their, another staff member did come along and she asked her to look into that so she could continue to serve me.

The facilities were good, alot of restaurants near by. It was close the the venue we had to go to. Easy to check in and out. It was reasonably clean, had an iron and hair dryer which was very handy. Nice layout.

The bed was very hard. I felt like i may as well have been sleeping on the floor. As it was hot there were a lot of flies. The fan in the room was dusty and I didn't fancy using it. The shower controls were quite stiff and grimey. There was no light in the middle of the room so lighting was abit annoying (for the sake of getting ready for a wedding)

The staff left me waiting to check in for nearly 10 mins despite constantly looking at me stood there, hence I marked that down.... hey minimum wage and all that . The food was lovely, room was lovely and quiet but had spiders all over the place due I believe to the room window left open and overgrown foliage literally 2cm from the window, not an issue to me but someone may get bitten maybe?? Thought it weird the only place in the room with no light was the desk?? surely thats the one place you do put a light no?? Internet was slow but adequate... generally the place was tip top

We stayed here as it was a close location to the nearby hospital a few miles up the road where I was being admitted very early the next morning for surgery. The hotel manager went out of his way to give my wife and I a downstairs room due to my disability, and the following day the Manager and Toby Carvery staff went out of their way to support my wife until it was time to collect me from the hospital and take me home. Nothing but the highest regard for them Its a cheep and cheaful place which was clean, and had better facilities than some other more expesive hotels we have stayed in. If all you need is a cheep local hotel for a night or two to stay if in the area, you could do a lot worse than this hotel. Recomended for this type of stay. Thanks

What a super place to stay; @ a very reasonable price!! It is perfectly situated for attending hospitals @ 'Cottingham & Anlaby'; & it has a fabulous restaurant for 'breakfast & full meals' just next door (on site!!)!! All the food was excellent; & extremely 'good value for money'!! Our 'family room & bathroom' were exceptionally spacious, well equipped & super clean; with the biggest TV that we have ever had in a hotel!! We will definitely stay again when in the area; & would '100% recommend'!! All the staff we dealt with were 'extremely polite & helpful'; & really couldn't have done any more to make our stay any better!!

Very helpful staff Judy - Head Housekeeper was amazing. My husband was in intensive care in nearby hospital hence my stay and when I needed to extend my stay she made it so easy I pretty much just swapped keys from one room to another, no delay. She could not have been any more helpful or kind - outstanding staff member Toby you should treasure her!. Good facilities, good food excellent staff excellent location

Room 209 first floor is opposite the door that everyone on the first floor enters by so it was noisy till late will people returning and noisy early doors with people leaving

Check-in was easy, if a little weird for being in the restaurant. Room was clean and well maintained. Small and very simple - the Ritz this is not - but served my purposes perfectly well, no complaints whatsoever.

Nothing?? No real complaints as previously stated, I wanted a room and I got one, lmao. I suppose it could have been a little cheaper if I really wanted to nitpick, or maybe a little more up-to-date, but I haven't worked in hotels for many years and what I remember of the prices I used to see back then probably doesn't track with inflation or other economic factors, so!! No complaints! Very acceptable, totally fine.

Good location. Only a couple of miles from Hull Castle Hill Hospital at which I had an early morning appointment and so by staying close by did not need a very early start from our home 60+ miles away Food is cheep and well cooked Bed was comfy enough. Room was clean Straff very helpful, just as they had been when we stayed here previously for another past hospital appoitment some weeks ago, and hence happy to stay again on this occasion

Nothing not to like. Yes its a little 'basic', but for what we need it was ideal so alls good
