We have stayed here previously when I was attending a Rememberance Parade in Hull, and all was good. This time I was attending Hull Hospital for day surgery, needed to be there for 07:30 and we live 70+miles away. Hence an obvious choice to stay again. Sadly the NHS pulled the plug on my operation after we had already booked in the night before. Whilst the NHS were far from sympathetic to the stress/distress they had caused, the hotel manager was much more understanding and allowed us to cancel our second night in order to go back home. We had a very plesant evening / overnight stay, and needless to say, I will re book when my operation finally takes place.

Nothing really. Full marks to the hotel / staff. Perhaps the meal / drinks prices could be a little less expensive given the current cost of living crisis

Breakfast was lovely, room was nice and staff were very friendly

There was a wedding on and we were above the reception so the music was very loud in our room I would imagine they have wedding on most weekends as the set up for the wedding looked lovely this did not stop until late. We were not part of the wedding party so we’re not there to enjoy the music so for us it was very noisy but did not like to complain as I would not dream of asking them to turn it down on their wedding and did not want to move rooms at 11 at night

nice room good space and comfortable. The breakfast was nice and had a lot of variety loved the option of a smoothie. Staff were helpful when i needed a taxi and allowed me to drop bags off before properly cheaking in

the shower was underwhelming. The hotel was a maze lots of random corridors and stairs to get to the room didn't like going up one flight of stairs going all the way to the other side of the hotel and going up more stairs to get to my room.

Staff were great Gary on the front desk and Linda the Head Housekeeper were super helpful & friendly in getting our room prepped early and gave great examples of places we could take our 5 year old son. The pool was great and unlike most places allowed children to use it whenever rather than only a couple of hours. The breakfast was brilliant, self service with hot and cold options.

It was all great - the bathroom could maybe have a refresh.

Easy booking in with a pleasant receptionist. Only stayed one night but wished it could have been longer to try all the facilities. Large car park

The doors on the lift closes too quickly after opening. As soon as the door opens it is starting to close, not good for elderly people. There needs to be greater time for people to enter. The springs on the doors to the rooms make it hard to push them open.

The room was spotless, extremely comfy bed, lovely bed linen and towels, we just had a continental breakfast of which there was a great choice, tea and coffee station easy to use. All the staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Would like to mention one lady who went above and beyond, that is Linda, head of housekeeping. She chatted with us, showed us a couple of rooms, nothing was too much trouble.

Nothing to say here no fault found.

The location was excellent, rooms a reasonable size . Very good and plentiful choice of breakfast items. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. several restaurants and pubs close by.c

the noise from a wedding evening party. Guests being noisy in the early hours going to their rooms. someone trying to get into our room ( by mistake) the curtains were a little tightly strung so it was hard to keep the light out. The walk- in shower I requested was unsuitable as it was a high threshold and no bar to hold, the requested stool was not issued. unfortunately due to mobility issues I needed an adapted room but there wasn’t one available

Lovely room, quiet and green view. Nice interiors in reception area, quite traditional.

Fire alarm went off at 5am, which was scary. Left room in night shirt only and went to reception area. After a few minutes a security guy came to tell us to leave the building, they had an outside room, but full of men and cold. No blankets provided, I was freezing, it was no more than 10-12 degrees outside. In the end I remembered to go into my car and switch the heating on to warm up. Fire engines arrived and fortunately it was just a faulty fire alarm.

We arrived Friday evening and were booked in straight away, we (my adult son and i) went into the restaurant to order food, I ordered a mixed mushroom and truffle pasta dish it was sublime and a good sized portion, my son ordered Salmon which when it arrived was raw in the middle straight away the waitress was very apologetic of which my son replied " it happens" she came back straight away and said what other food would you like to order and it will be on the house, which was great !! The rooms great shower, comfy beds great blackout curtains nice clean linen, hair dryer, kettle tea and coffee facilities, a fan 😁 iron and ironing board. All the staff very very pleasant and attentive could not fault any of them at all.

Main corridor carpets in some parts were badly stained they could do with cleaning but when is a good time? And the breakfast was good and great options BUT the plates were cold which made your food go cold very quickly.

Didnt use the facilities due to time constraints but was really impressed with the gym - best i've seen in a hotel and the spa facilities looked nice.

Shower/Bath could be improved but not enough to discourage me booking again if i need a hotel in this location. Would book this hotel specifically after my experience. Was loud in the room from wedding downstairs which might affect some people but didnt bother me. Was fine.
