Lovely old Inn, room was nice, very comfortable, cobwebs were unfortunate, but overall, very good. The shower was superb, and despite it being a very cold night the room was warm and cosy. Plenty of extra bedding and a heater were available if required. The evening meal was a delight, and the wine list was modest but had some excellent wines. The staff were really nice.
Gaining access to the room via an external staircase in icy conditions wasn’t ideal. There wasn’t a working catch on the en-suite door, the shower pole had a broken hose guide, and the cleaner had missed the cobweb by the bed. The kitchen was having work done in the morning so a continental breakfast was provided for £10pp., this didn’t run to cheese or ham or even bread and toast! Yoghurt, cereal croissants coffee and tea, with some fruit was ok.

What a delight! Came for an overnight stay with an 11 y/o and dog. Lovely little walk down to the river next to the pub. The food was amazing! We had queenie scallops, and chicken liver parfait for starters followed by the moules marinier and compte pie and the kids chicken. All were a flavour explosion. The little complimentary amuse bouche was a lovely little touch. The staff were amazing. Couldn’t do enough for us. We asked for a quiet table as we have a nervous dog. No trouble. They tried to make him feel comfortable with biscuits and taking the time to talk to him. Now Tom, what a star. Great service from start to finish (and shakes a mean espresso martini)! The room we stayed in was spotless and spacious. Very comfortable and the tower fan was a saviour on a warm evening. Will definitely be recommending this pub/hotel, nothing to complain about.
Nothing!!!

The room it’s self was tidy, clean, modern, spacious. Bathroom was clean. We’ stayed for just one night on the way up to Scotland for a trip and we enjoyed ourselves here. There was a smart TV meaning we could use the apps and log into Netflix etc.. Staff were polite, we had the ground floor flat which was visible from the front of the property- meaning it was easily accessible. We also dined in the restaurant for Dinner, the food was great, and there was a lovely open wood burner. It was warm and cosy.
With being the front room, we had a lot of traffic noise, and also we had someone placed above us, who snored REALLY loud. There could potentially have more facilities, such as an iron ert.. there was a hair dryer and a kettle. Other than these two things- the hotel served it’s purpose and we are overall very happy with our stay.

This was the first time staying in a pub with accomodation rather than a hotel, and I was really glad we did. We had an amazing room with a lovely bathroom with free standing bath and a seperate shower, and it was all so cozy and full of character. Our room was right up against the main road, but you would never have known - it was so quiet which I really didn't expect. Occasionally a lorry would fly past in the night and all you could hear was a slight gust of wind, no vibrations or anything. Had a great nights sleep. Food and service was excellent. Our dog joined us on the trip and she thoroughly enjoyed the stay and was very relaxed, and was even allowed to join us in the bar area for food and drinks.

Place was great, although it was on the road, I had no issues with noise from my room. The heaters were warm and I stayed on a cold and wet evening. I sat in the bar/restaurant after my run so I could conclude any work emails. Wifi was good, I managed to watch netflix without issues in bed. En suite shower was of great quality and the shampoo & Conditioner we of a high quality. Dinner was great and the staff were excellent.
If I'm being super picky, the pillows were a bit harder than I would have liked but I am fussy and have kept the same brand of pillow for 20+ years. The lady on breakfast shift was ok, not really attentive compared to the evening staff. I would recommend this place it was good.

Delicious dinner from a varied and well thought out menu Friendly & helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room. Whole stay excellent value. Would recommend and return.
Lighting a bit dim on the landing to access the rooms. (Note, these have to be accessed up an exterior stairway outside the pub). Bedding rather too hot even though heating turned off. Sliding shower head needs attention. A whole grilled tomato would have been nice with my breakfast muffin! But these are all minor for a really good value stay with properly prepared food so close to the M6.

Scott, the manager, was welcoming from the outset. We had a very nice, if small, room, that had all necessary amenities (nice bed, enough power sockets and clothes storage/ hanging, good sized bathroom, large shower cubicle with great water pressure). Food in the evening was really good. We had to set off early, so we didn't try their breakfast fare, though I imagine that would have been nice too.
No issues for us, as it met all our requirements.

The room is great, spacious, well heathed, proper blinds for the windows, a spotless private bathroom with a modern shower. The area is very quiet. There's a nice pub just attached where it's possible to have delicious meals.
The room is one a series of independent apartments/cabins with a separate entrance from the hotel, which is nice, but the room door takes you straight outside and it feels a bit exposed or unsafe.

A lovely warm cosy room with a spacious en-suite. Very comfy bed. Such a lovely welcome again from the front of house team. We also had Sunday lunch which we thought was genuinely exceptional - some of the best beef & chicken, so well cooked. Along with a large Yorkshire, choice of potatoes, vegetables & the best gravy we have ever tasted!
Nothing - although Room 2 is quite small it is superb value for money

Everything was amazing especially the food but when I booked it, it said £87 when we arrived and payed it was £108 which was a let down. Thought the guy who checked us in was quite arrogant didn't really wanna talk and looked quite miserable. Not the smiling face you expect from front of house on arrival . Hats off to the chef though food was outstanding 👌
Waitress was very nice but other staff just looked like they looked down on you. Made us feel a little out of place because we are common people. Even though we spent probably more than any other guests.
