I mixed up the dates when booking, arriving late at night I found that I did not have a room booked until next month! The Duty Manager who is from Romania was a massive help, she was very professional and helpful and a credit to the company. She helped sort things out with Booking.com who I used and despite it being a long process did everything possible and in good grace and humor. It was sorted out and I got a good clean warm room for the night. She made my visit.

We were particularly impressed with the chambermaid on the morning of Friday 15th who, cheerfully sought toothpaste on other floors too - there having been none at reception. She could not find any, but put herself out beyond what we would have expected. We provided a positive feedback card to reception that morning - and we hope she received notification that we had done so.

I requested double bed, but was provided with twin beds... the first time in 35 years I have not shared a bed with my wife! Having arrived about midnight we had no alternative. (Room 245)

Overall, we couldn’t fault this place. As a place, location, we chose it simply because it’s local to where we were attending a family meal - get together. We are so glad we did. It’s central for everything you need. A large Morrisons nearby, walking distance..who incidental do very good and well priced meals in their caf… a local pub should you want it , just at the end of the road, again, walking distance. Just go out of the back of the hotel and there’s a lovely walking area, greenland etc. we are not too good at walking, but it’s all so easy there, and all on the flat. ‘The Flash’ park is a lovely place to visit, again , you can walk to it along the ‘green’ path and there is ‘The Hide’ where you can sit peacefully watching the ducks on the truly lovely lake. There’s even proper bird watching huts, and again, a cafe ! As for the hotel itself , couldn’t really fault it. Clean, warm, everything you need to hand. Note … it’s a ‘cashless’ hotel. Never come across this before… pay by card for everything..no cash is used or accepted. The only one little thing amiss, in our room , the shower unit had two buttons appeared broken on the showerr, ie, chrome covers missing so you could see the buttons inside.. regardless, the shower worked fine, I don’t even know what the buttons were for !! We noticed too that the mirror, the rectangular one didn’t ever seemed to have been cleaned.. with splodges on it - marks that would rub off… but honestly, in view of the fact that everything else was perfect , we were not bothered by these things…oh…and on opening and closing the window..it makes the most awful screeching sound.. but again… hey ho ! ‍. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, attentive and kind. That includes the bar staff and breakfast staff. One slight thing re the breakfast, they have a fixed menu…no boiled eggs.. so you have been warned . Extremely happy with our stay overall and would have no hesitation in going again to the same place.

Breakfast is excellent - the staff are nearby should you require any 'special' attention. Shower is very good 'cept a hand rail near the exit openening would make it safer. Everywhere is clean and tidy. Our room was very quiet.

The bathroom needs some attention - the toilet bowl is having clean water running into it all the time, the 'buffer' behing the door is hanging off. Shower is very good 'cept it needs a handrail near the exit opening which would make it safer, plus the screen is not very secure. A hook near the shower would be nice to have your towel nearby.

People reading this will know that this is a well established chain and a well established template. It works, you know what you are getting. It is clean, functions, provides what is expected. The staff are typical norther friendly ;-) Breakfast in this economic climate is good value for money IMO. We will stay again and I expect it will be the same good value and service. Thanks to all the staff for making a seamless pleasant stay!

Exceptionally clean hotel. Breakfast was great, nice selection of traditional english and alternative foods. The staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Big shout out to Raluca who was everywhere, helping and making people feel comfortable always with a smile on her face.

Beds were a little small compared to what we are used to so sleep was not the best, but this is a personal issue and not really a reflection on the hotel.

staff - amazing, room and hotel amazing, let down by breakfast as not great for veggie/ vegan. no tomatoes/ mushrooms / hash brown, only scrambled eggs. no vegan yoghurt & little soya milk. Veggie sausages had to be cooked to order but not enough attention to veggie / vegan dietary requirements. (although I'd messaged ahead) .

Ii was attending an event in Leigh. I paid for my room, in full, on arrival and a was asked to pay a £100 security deposit. This was ridiculous. I stayed at the Hilton in Liverpool a week prior and no security and a Premier Inn and neve,r in my 59 years on this earth, have I been asked for a security deposit of any kind. Non of your staff could explain why this was the case when asked. And there was no iron or ironing board in my room.

The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The location was excellent for the stadium. The hotel was very clean. Nice simple evening meal menu but cooked well.

The breakfast didn't run smoothly, there was multiple times of there being items that had run out. When they were filled up they ran out within minutes and then there was large delays. Possibly because there was many people staying for match day but it did let it down that breakfast was minimal
