The room was clean, good walk in shower and beds were comfy. Breakfast was really good value, choice of cereals, fruit and cooked items. I asked for chilled water and two big jugs were in place within a few minutes and the staff member came to my table to let me know. All the staff were really nice, very friendly and did a good job. Parking easy and there is a pub right by if food is wanted.

The room was very hot in the night, being close to the main road meant it was too noisy to keep the window open. There was a little bit of black mould on the base of the shower wall.

Clean, friendly staff, excellent value, good size car park! Me and my daughter needed a place to stay after a concert, we didn’t need anything fancy just a clean room and a comfy bed and that’s exactly what we got for a great price. Toiletries and towels, tea and coffee in the room for the morning. We had a great night sleep and the staff were fab!

The only negatives for us was there was only one pillow each, and the tv didn’t work, the tv was on standby and the sensor on the remote lit when pressing the button but no joy so we just used the iPad.

Was able to park close to the hotel front door. There was a lift and the place was very clean and modern looking. Same with the bedroom. Their breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold items.

I had to go back and forth from the room to the reception 3 times due to a card key not working on the door. At first they thought the room door needed new batteries but it was just a faulty unit. Having to lug bags up and down hallways and lifts multiple times was an inconvenience and a nuisance.

very simple basic room that was clean and comfortable. Located in the middle of a housing scheme with a pub/resteraunt across the road. Perfect location for access to the road to Liverpool and to come off the M6 from north which were my requirements. Quick check in and out, staff all pleasant and friendly, exactly what you would expect from this kind of hotel.

Rooms are always clean and comfy, plenty of room to work downstairs on WIFI

First time I have experienced here was the Lavazza coffee machine was not working correctly, staff did not sort the machine for Breakfast so didn't manage to get a much needed morning coffee, had to buy a Greggs coffee on the way to work. Please note I don't usually experience this.

Newly decorated and with a Horse Racing theme. Very good thinking as I suspect that a large majority of people staying will be going to Haydock Park (2 miles away). Our room was very nice and the walk in wet room/bathroom was lovely. Great atmosphere in the restaurant.

Our electrical sockets suddenly stopped working during the night (no big deal).

The hotel is well situated for travellers, with good amenities both in the hotel and locally. It's good value for money and very handy for me as my family live locally.

My room had a bit of traffic noise from the A580, so I couldn't keep the window open overnight. Next time, I will request a quieter room .

We didn't stay at Ibis Styles, but were relocated to Mercure Haydock as Ibis was closed to holiday makers. Mercure Haydock was fantastic. Friendly staff, great comfortable rooms, beautiful surroundings and great location. Hotel was busy with business people, but quiet during the night. That will probably not be the case when a wedding is going on as the suites are right next door. Based on our stay, the stay was excellent.

Good sized bedrooms. Comfy beds and a good location with a pub within a 1 min walk. Staff friendly and fun. All you would expect from this chain.

Lift not working and room on the 3rd floor. So your legs are in for a good workout getting to your rooms. I'm sure it will be fixed.
