From the moment we arrived we felt happy with our choice of hotel. We were early but the girls on reception made us welcome and came up with good suggestion of places to visit close by. Darren the celebrity from the TV show Cruising made us welcome. He checked us in carried our suitcases up to our very large bedroom. Which was really lovely. Clean, well equiped and comfortable. It had everything you could possibly want. The bathroom was also large and exceptionally clean. Dinner in the evening was very good and breakfast was equally as good. We did have a couple of issues with dinner on the second night but these were resolved. Your staff are exceptionally good especially the 2 girls who served breakfast. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

A fantastic pub with great accommodation, friendly and helpful staff and in a great location. Check in was easy and we were shown to our room and given a brief on the facilities. The room was larger than we expected and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and give us some tips on what to and what not to see around the area. I would definitely stay here again and strongly recommend the hotel.

The only issue was the TV remote which didn't work properly and you had to turn the TV off at the point. Replace this and there would be no issues at all (and yes I informed the staff)

The property is tidy and clean and the staff are friendly

The description of the room mentioned we would have a room with view onto a quiet street, the room had no view it had frosted glass, it also said it would be carpeted, it wasn’t , preferred the way it was with the vinyl strip flooring, it was also very stuffy, not sure why, the night wasn’t that warm . Even when we entered the room at 5 30 pm it had a fan running in it but the window was closed, we left it open for the rest of the night , still stayed stuffy . Otherwise the place was fine would happily stay again but would try and avoid that room.

Beautiful room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, nice pub food and the breakfast was good although not always what was expected!

Only the breakfast was not completely cooked as expected… “avocado on ciabatta with crispy bacon and soft poached eggs” actually had non crispy bacon and hard cooked poached eggs so no runny yolks, all quite dry!…the following day I ordered a full English and the bacon and eggs much better although the black pudding wasn’t there as stated on the menu! We ate dinner the first night in the restaurant and unfortunately my boyfriends chilli chicken was super spicy so he couldn’t eat it but they cooked him a lovely new plate of gammon and chips which was superb! My chilli chicken salad was also super spicy but I wasn’t offered a replacement, possibly we should not have ordered this as we don’t like really spicy food but it really was blow your head off hot!!!

The hotel is full of character and wonderfully decorated from top to bottom. Our room used to be a ballroom and it was beautiful really big bedroom with gorgeous high ceilings and old fireplace the en-suite was just as big bright and clean. The breakfast was lovely in the morning and the staff from walking in to walking out couldn’t be more friendly or helpful. I would definitely recommend Thank you so much for ensuring we had a wonderful stay

The sharing platter is amazing but no crusty bread, pitta bread or toast to go with the humus/pate they are missing a trick, ! offer a mixed bread basket charge as an extra, make more money' from the customers who don't want to spread humus or pate on garlic pr sundried tomato bread 🍞🍞🍞

Delayed check in as they could not find the room key ? Allocate a different room then go look for the key !

When we arrived we were greated with a very warm welcome. Our room was huge with soo much space! Decorated dated but with a modern twist, lovely lovely room, with a large chandelier above the bed and fire place, big TV, tea/coffe/hot choclate/water/hairdryer provided in room. Bathroom was nice with a decent sized bath. The hotel is above a working restaurant/pub, we had no noise complaints (weekend visit), breakfast was ordered the night before and cooked to perfection. Outdoor table/chairs for when the weathers nice.

Bath wasn't the cleanest. The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together which was disappointing. Had food at the restaurant on the Sunday evening hoping for a nice Sunday roast - however didnt get what I ordered, told the girl waiter I had things missing from my plate - including mash, the main side, who was very rude about it shrugging her shoulders at me, and nothing was done - as the mash had ran out along with most of the meat so was left with a plate of pork and small amount of veg and gravy (no mention of this when ordered) and no appology or discount, also didnt ask once if we wanted to order drinks, disappointed to say the least as the previous members of staff had been amazing, very friendly and helpful.. Make sure to order your Sunday Roast early.

We were greeted by friendly staff who ensured we had all the details we needed. The room was amazing, everything complimented each other and the added bonus of the record player was quirky. Bathroom was outstanding and the food was good too.

Nothing all was good. Maybe they could provide complimentary biscuits as seen in a lot of other hotels.

Great hotel and lovely staff! Spacious family room.

Bathroom was a bit tired, but it was clean and fine. We didn’t like that the hotel has the same name as another which is also in Wrexham and also on the high street! We went to the other hotel first (15 min away) which was our mistake (!), but it might be a good idea to adjust the name slightly as this hotel is infinitely nicer!

Location excellent for the places of interest. Staff all friendly, jolly and professional. The waitress at dinner (with the chef) organised a low cholesterol meal for myselfwhich was good. Good large car park and garden at the rear of hotel. Excellent superfamily hot water . Fantastic fresh cooked breakfast with good choice.

Poor chice of low cholesterol diets on menu but this is typical of all hotels, restaurants, bars etc, pity really with so much obesity in the UK. en suite tiny, we were ok as we are slim! If we are being picky a fridge on the landing for guests use would be good......hottest day of year when we stayed😀 😁
