I was very impressed with this hotel we needed somewhere urgently to stay as all trains had been cancelled due to the strikes. The booking although received very late, was received promptly and we were allocated a lovely large twin room. The hotel was immaculate and the decore very appealing. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was large and shone. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. I.would definitely stay here again

The hotel did not include breakfast, which would've been nice to have been included in the price. A later checkout would also have been nice but the receptionist was very patient as we were a little late checking out

The room is very comfortable, with plenty of space. It was renewed recently. Although the subway isn´t near, the location is perfect to explore London. All the staff are very kind and helpful.

Location is great. Walking distance to soho and al the tourist attractions. The room was spotlessly clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our room was very spacious. The room and the whole hotel was extra clean, freshly renovated. It was situated in a safe neighborhood short walking distance from the bus stop. The staff was very kind, helpful.

The breakfast was very simple. A juice, a croissant and a sandwich in a paper bag. You could make tea, find some butter, jam and fruit and find a seat at one of the pub style tables. The room did not have a refrigerator, bottled water was offered as a - very expensive - compensation for the inconvenience. They should at least have a vending machine in the basement. There was no air conditioning either, to be honest we did not miss it at all, although we were staying on a rather hot weekend.

This hotel was in an excellent location. The exterior was most attractive with boxes full of brightly coloured flowers along the railings. The reception area was light and airy with plenty of comfortable seating. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. There was a separate bathroom with walk in shower and a toilet room with wash basin , a combination which worked very well. There was also a desk and chair as well as a comfortable lounging chair. The only problem, on some of the hottest days of the year, was the lack of air-conditioning, I suspect this was because the installation would have spoilt some of the beautiful original features such as the mouldings around the door and the cornices. However, a brand-new fan had thoughtfully been provided. I loved the minimalist appearance of the room but my husband would have preferred a few pictures on the walls. Everyone we met was very friendly, especially Maryam who offered to bring breakfast to our room if I couldn't manage the stairs down to the breakfast room - the only floor not accessible by lift. The breakfast room was large with long tables for social eating. There was also a small, attractive courtyard outside. Tea, coffee, and fruit were available as well as the Breakfast in a Bag which was perfectly adequate. This was a clever concept which must help to keep costs down, always welcome in London where hotels can be very expensive. There are also plenty of restaurants around if you want a more hearty breakfast. We will certainly consider staying here again next time we are in London.

The staff were super accommodating and personable. Rooms clean and breakfast convenient and stylish.

It was hard to find a fault

We, a group of 3, stayed for one night in a family room in the Astour Court Hotel. We even got an upgraded family room in comparison to our booking! We arrived early and could have check-in early as well, which would have come with a reasonable extra amount to pay. But we decided to leave our luggage in the extra room especially for this purpose and came back later. The complete staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Our family room and bathroom was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Overall, the room was quite. Yes, you can feel the metro going under the hotel, but this was nothing that bothered us in anyway. We did not have breakfast in the hotel. The location of the hotel is great for a short or longer stay in London. Oxford street, Picadilly circus and Soho are all in walking distance.
