The rooms with compact but clean and comfortable with a small double bed and very small private bathroom with a shower. Surprisingly there was a smart TV in the room where you could log in to Netflix, Prime or YouTube. The hotel was only a five minute walk to Paddington station, so excellent location. The stairs were steep and no lift, which is expected for a two star hotel. The staff were very friendly and watched our luggage for us when we checked out. Manage your expectations, it’s a two star, cheap but central hotel in London. Very reasonably priced. Would stay again for a night or two maximum, as the small double bed is a bit small for two people but does the job!

It was honestly fine. Great price and location. Stairs were a bit steep is all.

Ability to check in earlier than first anticipated. Cleanliness. Effective air-conditioning. Friendly staff. Able to securely hold luggage whilst we went for breakfast coffee after checkout.

No lift and steep stairs - was not aware. We were on 3rd floor and difficulty with luggage. Tiny room felt a little claustrophobic. Do not like double beds up against a wall. Difficult to get out to toilet for one on wallside. Very tiny shower room. Again felt a bit claustrophobic. Hallways not clean - same mop and bucket with dirty water in hallway from arrival to departure. Trip hazard aside from anything else.

The location was great. I was able to leave an overnight bag at the Hotel early in the morning and therefore before book in time which helped greatly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean.

The Hotel is obviously being done up and I can understand why they have started with the bedrooms, which are great. However, The outside and reception haven't been modernised yet and with 'first impressions' being so important I feel there needs to be something done, if I hadn't booked I am not sure I would have walked in to ask if there was a room available. After seeing the rooms and meeting the staff I look forward to seeing the new reception area when I next go to London.

Great location, a short walk from Paddington Station with plenty of options nearby for food and drink. The property was having renovations undertaken while we were there, but this was brought to our attention before we arrived. It didn't impact our stay at all as the works finished before we returned to our room each evening. Considering the great value for our stay compared to other similar properties, a little dust in the hallway was a small price to pay. The rooms are sparse but comfortable, modern and spotlessly clean. We stayed in room 204 which is a small double with a window overlooking the street, it had been recently refurbished and had plenty of natural daylight. The member of staff that was working over the weekend was lovely, so friendly and helpful. We found it a great base for our stay in London & would definitely return in the future.

It was very warm when we visited so we had to leave the window open at night and the busy street below was quite noisey throughout the night. That said, I'm a light sleeper, it didn't bother my husband in the least. Also the faucets in the sink and shower were plumbed incorrectly, so the hot tap was cold and vice versa. Not a massive issue, just one to watch if you're staying in room 204.

It was in a good location very close to the train station, the staff were friendly and helpful, it was good value for money. Relatively clean and liked that they provided two towels. Overall, it was a lot better than I was expecting.

My room was on the third floor with no lift - not very accessible for people with physical disabilities. Other than that, the tv was out of tune, the shower was very tiny and filled up with water very quickly (maybe the plug was a bit blocked so the water went down slower?) and it was difficult to open/close the window.

I thought the room was great value for money. Small but comfortable. Air conditioning was great, shower was great and the bed was really comfortable. My only gripes were the internet connection / TV was so bad I was unable to watch TV or listen to radio in room on the in house TV screen. Also the soundproofing between my room and the next was not great. In the morning the other rooms alarm was so loud it may as well have been in same room. To be fair though I was already up so it wasn’t too bad but could have been.

Clean tidy rooms looked just like photo. Shower room slightly small but very good value for money and in an excellent spot. Would definately recommend. 15 mins walk from Hyde park and 6 mins from Paddington station and underground.

Whole hotel is being renovated so hallways and reception look a little untidy but that's to be expected. But rooms lovely and hallways are still clean and staff friendly.

Hotel corridors needed some TLC. Hotel Staff/Cleaners very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, a little small but had everything we needed for the one night we stayed. Location is 10/10 5 mins from Paddington, bars/resturants within 2 min walk. 10 min walk to Hyde Park (where our gig was). All good.

Mainly the reception and corridors. Just needs some TLC

Super clean and comfortable beds. Much better than expected given the reviews/scoring. Bathroom overall size was quite small so might not suit everyone but the shower was a great size. Clearly newly decorated and had a nice feel

Doors are a bit too thin. Although it was generally quiet surroundings you could hear people coming and going. Stairway up to room looks tired but I'm guessing that's still to be renovated.

I didn’t have to walk far from the room door to the bed!! Was amazing!!! Shower doubled as a wardrobe!! Never seen this before but will be looking to add this to my home!!! Amazing

Nothing- the mustard coloured paint meant it was almost like the lights were on even when they weren’t. The heat in the basement room with lack of window was like a sauna… spa break for bargain price!! Woke in a muck of sweat like being somewhere foreign even though it was London in December.. what’s not to like?!? I sweated put all the alcohol so woke fresh!!!
