Loved the bed on the mezzanine in the room… felt like you was ticked away from any outside noise. The furnishings were luxurious and the hotel has a real cool style. Very friendly staff too. VERY quiet area.

The bar closes very early and there is no option for room service late night for a nightcap. There’s also no shops nearby that can cater for this…… As a smoker…. It’s difficult to smoke after midnight when the door is locked and the terrace is closed…. It would be nice to have a smoking area for guests after midnight.

Friendly staff, great decor and spacious accessible wetroom style bathroom- the floor was slippery but a mat was provided. The range of breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit and fantastic breads as well- fresh tomatoes and grilled mushrooms would be a bonus!

As above - also herb teas in the room please, even proper coffee rather than Nescafe- but that is nitpicking!

Tower room was neat. Some of the staff were just delightful - looking at you Sara Adela’ - and all were adequate. Breakfast was very nice. The bed was super comfortable. It’s a very short walk to a Santander rank, and a short walk to DLR and underground rail.

I stayed during hot weather. The aircon was insipid and borderline ineffectual, and the ‘lobby’ and bathroom (room 101) were a bit of a sauna. The lighting is bizarre. Someone must have convinced management that no light switches was somehow luxury. To turn on the room lights in the morning you have to get the tv remote, turn tv on, wait for tv to boot up, navigate to the lighting window and then make whatever selections you want. Seriously?!! TV blaring during breakfast each morning was not pleasant. The DE button machine for supposed espresso coffee was way tacky. So bad I found myself drinking the filter coffee.

Staff were very friendly, smiley and helpful. Breakfast was varied and freshly made catering for all tastes. Hotel was beautifully clean and tidy with classic lines encompassing the history of the building. We stayed in a mezzanine room which was very thoughtfully done - compact yet fully equipped with the emphasis on eco friendly design and concepts. It was very quiet but with good transport links - close to where we used to live so we know the area well. All in all a very lovely stay and would definitely return.

I hadn't actually realised that I had booked a room with stairs (mezzanine sleeping area) so I did struggle a little as they were steep and I have knee problems. There was no mini bar or slippers! I only mention these as they were advertised as being in the room. There really is very little else negative to say.

Hotel has a great feel as soon as you walk through the front door. Lovely aroma everywhere inside the hotel and decor is very well kept and room was lovely and even had a small fridge to be able to keep drinks etc in. Good location for public transport with 2 DLR station within a 10 min walk and Canary Wharf. Spa facilities available and looked nice but didn't have time use.

Requested a room on the upper floors which was lovely and had a nice view. However 2 lifts to get up to the 3rd floor which was a little bit of a pain so used the stairs. Parking available but have to unlock a padlock every time you want to go to the car. Small problem with the TV and accessing the information page which got resolved after 3 attempts by the maintenance man.

The staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond for me and were always eager to serve and help in any way. Breakfast had a nice variety. The location was great. It is in a quiet neighborhood yet still close enough to public transportation.

The lift from the second floor to the third was extremely slow, and the first time I used it, I thought it was broken and I was stuck. I spoke with another guest, and they thought the same. Maye add a sign to explain that the lift is extremely slow to not worry guests. Not a complaint - just a suggestion.

Munam (sorry if I've misremembered your name) was very accommodating and helpful. I needed somewhere to work and she gave me a few options and I enjoyed working on the garden terrace thanks to her suggestion. I was also upgraded on check-in, which was appreciated. The addition of the sky view was nice to have. Sorry, I didn't take note of the name of the person that checked me in.

The hotel generally seemed quite well set up, tech-wise, which made it even more surprising that there didn't seem to be an easy way to connect media to the TV, e.g. playing music or accessing streaming services, etc.

From arrival to departure we couldn't fault a thing. We were greeted by Stole on reception, he was very welcoming, informative & helpful. His knowledge of the area was good & gave us directions to Canary Wharf shops/restaurants & transport options. We did park our car at the hotel but didn't want to use it to get about during our stay. The parking area was very secure. The breakfast was amazing, a great selection to choose from and very fresh. The room was lovely, very clean & smelt nice too. We were in a Lansbury Classic room on the ground floor. The bathroom was a wet room (as opposed to having a shower cubicle) and was nearly as big as the bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, pity it was only one night but we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in that area of London. All the staff we encountered were friendly but having dealt with Stole the most I can definitely say he's a big asset to the hotel.

Wow, what a beautiful hotel!! It completed exceeded our expectations. The hotel room was very clean and modern and had excellent facilities, including tea/coffee, toiletries, an iron/iron board and hair dryer. The bed was very comfy. The hotel staff were all absolutely lovely - very engaging personalities whilst alap providing excellent customer service. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from poplar DLR Station, and it took about 30 minutes to get into Central London. We stayed here to visit the o2 arena which took 15 minutes via taxi. Generally very happy with our stay and would 100% consider for future visits to London. Very good value for money!

We went to the hotel an hour and a half before check in, and was told we would need to pay £20 for early check-in, despite being told our room was ready. I understand early check in fees, however our room was already ready for us, so this felt unnecessary. We instead were able to store our bags until we came back later in the day.

I stayed on Sunday 6th March in the lovely room 105 -10/10 Silly old me! Only carried cash with me luckily the shop next door had a payzone feature, because the hotel requires a deposit whilst staying with them. Sara on check in was superb, she was very patient with me due to the above. She told my partner about the heritage of the Hotel and how it became a Hotel, etc. Not only was she approachable but super friendly. Check in was very smooth- Sara advised us where to go to eat and explained everything to us. The Sauna and Steam room was such a lovely experience Sara again came and showed us around. The room was like something out of a Disney film. Anna at Breakfast was very smily, nothing was to much for her, she even made my partner a hot chocolate as it wasn’t included but was done very smoothly. Breakfast had a really good choice. The bed was very comfy, the Air C got some getting use to but was fine in the end. Stole on check out was lovely asked how our stay was and is there anything else he could for us. He went out of his way to make sure we had a good stay. Informed us about the deposit being refunded etc. Nothing was too much for the team. I was visiting the excel which was only 8 minutes drive away. Staff 10/10 Breakfast 10/10 Room 10/10 Thank you team see you again Kelly ❤️
