The week I stayed was very hot. I was glad to be allocated a room on the west side which was not sunny and afforded a bit of a breeze. The breakfast was fantastic. So much to eat and the coffee machine is fabulous. In the 1970s I worked at this residence hall and always found the location to be perfect. So glad the buses stop so close and the tube is a short walk away. I always try to stay here when I come to London. I also enjoyed the garden - very relaxing. The staff members are also very friendly and very helpful.

It was probably the hottest week of the year! Not much anyone could do about that!

Couldn't possibly think of a better stay in London. A great alternative to usual hotels. It was clean, comfy and quiet. I really liked the room, it was just perfect and had everything you need (a wardrobe, desk, sink, mirror). I also got a towel and toiletries (a soap, shampoo and shower gel). The breakfast offer was very rich and food was delicious. My next time in London, I'm definitely coming back here!

The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but after the first night I got used to it. In the showers, water temperature kept slightly changing while turned on.

LSE Rosebery hall was very conveniently located just a short walk away from Sadlers Wells theatre and from Angel tube with all available restaurants, cafes and shops. The room was simple but clean. The bed was a bit soft and uncomfortable and the pillow too soft for my liking. However the breakfast was fantastic! I am vegan, and was impressed with the vegan options. There was lots of varied fruits and yoghurts to choose from. The best thing for me was the vegan croissant, which were warm, fresh, light and fluffy. There was plenty of food and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again!

The kitchens don’t have ovens and they were not very well equipped if you wanted to make your own food. There was not a ready supply of cups, plates, glasses or cutlery which isn’t so good when you don’t want to be eating out all the time.

Totally basic but perfectly decent room was comfortable, functional and very very clean. The bathroom not being en-suite was really not a problem and there was a sink in the room for teeth cleaning g, face washing etc. Staff were lovely. One particular standout was at breakfast (amazing and varied by the way) I asked for vegan yoghurt and last bought me a fruit one and I declined it as I do t eat sugar and told her why. 5 minutes later she had come and found me at my table and gave me some plain coconut yoghurt she had gone back to the kitchen and found. That she a) bothered and then b) remembered what I looked like in the sea of people spoke volumes and was a really nice touch in such a budget accommodation !

The shower temperature was hard to stabilise.

Lse rosebery was so well located, about 7 minute walk from Angel Underground station. The neighbourhood was lovely and safe. Breakfast was superb. There are lots of friendly places to eat, supermarkets, shops, the Chapel Market and especially the regent canal. My friend and I walked along the canal up to the Lido and the broadway market. The regent canal is like a little Oasis in such a bustling city. The property was very friendly, very busy with so many different age groups which was amazing as everybody looked happy. the staff was so accommodating and helpful. I would give all of them a ten star rating :) It was possible to leave my luggage in a locked room before and after check in which was amazing as lots of places wouldn’t do that.

Nothing really, apart from the shower maybe, but apart from that all good!

The room was quiet and both toilet and room were clean and spacious, including one wardrobe per person in our ensuite room. The breakfast was fantastic, and it included many healthy and varied options. We valued the fact that they allow you to leave your luggage with them free of charge until check-in time if you happen to arrive early.

The pressure of the shower head was very low, which would make it difficult for any person with long hair to get rid of the product used in a reasonable amount of time. We did not like the fact that the check-in time provided online was different to the check-in time stated at the establishment, and we only learnt it upon arrival.

The breakfast is amazing! Gluten free and veggie/vegan options were great for my dietary requirements. There was a buffet of cereals, continetnal and cooked breakfast options. The room was clean and I had use of the share bathroom facilities which were again clean and met expectations. Also, the glazing in the room really blocked out a lot of the noise from outside which I appreciated, and there was a fan in the room, a basin, wardrobe with lots of hangers and there were some basic toileteries and a towel provided. It was more than I expected for my budget!

The only downside was the mattress in my room was a bit lumpy and could do with replacing.

Great location that isn't too far from kings cross station and has bus connections to underground/other stations across the road. Room was big enough for one person with luggage. Sink in room, wardrobe and desk, and elevator for luggage and free luggage storage were great extras. Breakfast was great - lots of selection and seating even when busy. Friendly front desk staff during the late hours. Great value for money considering how much hotels and air bnbs cost in the same area and this has breakfast included in the price.

Lack of air-conditioning - the rooms and bathrooms were very hot even in 20 degree weather. The bathrooms weren't in the best condition and you definitely need bathroom slippers. Some of the front desk staff during the day are less than friendly and seem to find questions annoying.

Strange not to have a tumbler in the room for a drink of water. Shower arrgt perhaps needs a bit of explanation. You really need to bring sliders to get to and from the shower room and probably a shower robe…but who is going to bring one of those. It is a bit weird to feel you have no alternative but to wear your trousers to the shower and then have to strip off in the shower cubicle and then lean out again to hang your clothes on the door rail etc. the towel is then not so generous as to wrap around decently enough to wear on the way back to room.

Breakfast at LSE Rosebery Hall is fantastic. Feels odd starting a review like this, but honestly – good start of the day. Also, the little garden area is lovely. The accommodation's location is fine (5 mins. walk to Angel station), pubs and supermarkets close by. Rooms were clean, people friendly enough (I didn't really see many/talk to many).

No one in particular is to blame for this, but I ended up staying in the room opposite the shared bathroom. I could hear all the nose blowing and showering one can imagine. That was not ideal, and quite annoying in the late hours of the day.
