The staffs are really really nice and always there to help us with every inquiries for 24 hours. The service and hospitality at the hotel are super generous, they even allow us to leave our luggages at the hotels for the night that we’re not in London which we sincerely appreciate it. We have a pleasant stay at the place and what we really love is the room space is a lot bigger than other hotels in the area. We’ll surely come back to stay here again if we come back to London and definitely recommend it for our friends and who that are looking for a place to stay in London.

Booked this place super last minute for an unexpected trip to London and glad I did. Location really close to Kings cross, all 3 members of staff i met were super friendly, kind and helpful, if you need something, they'll happily try to find it for you. The room was exactly like the pictures and had more space than previous reviews led to believe. I had no issue with being able to move around the room, the room and bathroom was absolutely spotless and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was a wetroom and shower lovely and hot. There was complimentary tea, coffee, water and biscuits provided daily. I had a room on the first floor (contrary to some reviews, there is actually a working lift) my room was at the front overlooking the road. I wasn't bothered by the traffic and slept very soundly but if you're a light sleeper maybe ask for one at the back. I didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that but some great pubs nearby for meals as recommended by hotel staff. Will definitely return when I'm back in London.

Anything I'd change would be tiny personal preferences like having a bin in the bathroom or real cups for the tea. But nothing that prevents a great stay.

We found the reception staff to be friendly and helpful. We were allocated a room on the first floor at the far end of the corridor at the back of the hotel. The hotel and room were generally very quiet. You couldn’t really hear other guests, and there was a slight rumbling of trains running underneath you, which you could only really hear if you were lying in bed. We had a modern twin room which was spotlessly clean. The decor was also to a good standard. There was a stand for my small suitcase and a rail to hang clothes on, rather than a wardrobe. There was a small table between the two beds and conveniently placed plug sockets. The tea and coffee-making facilities are on a tray on a narrow table that had two drawers. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a chair, so this wouldn’t be suitable for use as a desk. The beds and pillows were comfortable though I would’ve liked an extra pillow. There was a TV but we didn’t use this. We stayed in late February and found our room comfortably warm, so even turned the radiator off. As some of the other guests have pointed out, there is a slight draught from the old sash windows as there is a small gap between where the two panes meet in the middle. The ensuite was spacious, though the shower cubicle was a little small, but the water pressure was good. We didn’t eat breakfast as there are so many choices a short walk away. It’s an easy 5 to 10-minute walk from Euston station on a quiet, residential street. I will definitely stay here again.

Minor issues (to us) Draught from the windows Slightly noisy from the trains passing below

Perfect for me as solo traveller having travelled into Euston Station and just needing a place to stay overnight close St Pancras International for Eurostar departure next day. A short and easy walk to and from both stations. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. My en suite single room was small but spotlessly clean and fresh. Simply but beautifully decorated, and with a very relaxing atmosphere. Very welcome tea making facilities and lovely aromatherapy scented toiletries. Plentiful hot water. Long net curtains at the window provided privacy from the street until dark fell when total blackout curtains ensured darkness for sleeping. Double glazed window opened onto a tiny Juliet balcony, I thought street might be noisy and I would want to shut the double glazing, but overnight both street and hotel were quiet and peaceful. I had the best nights sleep! Very good value and I hope to come back when I have similar travel needs next year when, I hope to also enjoy their pretty little garden. Thank you Swinton Hotel! 🤗❤️

Very friendly and kind staff & overall atmosphere. Nice single room, more spacious than expected for London standards. Good wifi connection and there is an elevator. Close to Kings Cross / St. Pancras Stations, great for public transport to all the places you want to visit.

There was nothing I did not like at this place but if you’re noise sensitive better book a room facing the backyard since there is street noise (cars and regular traffic, even at night) towards the road. I did not mind myself at all though & slept very well during my 3 nights stay. Even better than at my own place.

The location was very convenient for trains, buses and taxis. Its a 6 minute walk from Kings Cross Station. The staff are helpful and friendly. I was staying with three female friends celebrating a 60th birthday. We had rooms 6 and 8. Both rooms had access to the garden. This was an oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city. A bonus to come back to after an excited time in the evening. We didn't have breakfast, which could be ordered the night before or in the morning. Breakfast is continental.

Room 6 is a small twin bedded room, with limited space to put belongings. The step into the bathroom is deep and could be a hazard in the night. The bathroom light is operated by a pull down cord inside. Maybe a sensor light would fitted in the bathroom enabling it to be lit as you step inside. Room 8 is a twin bedded room. Its bigger than room 6. The layout is simular to room 6. Cleaning was in process when we arrived and was leaving. As the corridors are narrow the leads to the hoover were left running along the floor, making it difficult to carry or wheel luggage. The staircase down to the reception is narrow too.

Very friendly staff. Nothing was an issue on that front. Really polite and chatty too. Location is great only a few minutes walk from King’s Cross. Ideal for short term stay.

Was visiting for work. No desk in room due to it being a small room made working difficult. But not a factor that would put me off as there was outdoor garden and probably dining room available if I wanted. Bed was a bit uncomfortable too but that’s just a personal preference on my behalf. Again nothing that would stop me returning. Would advise if your room is road facing to have ear plugs due to the busy road.

This was such great value for money. The staff were professional and bent over backwards to make our stay a pleasant one. When we arrived, we were given a ground floor room but preferred to say on a higher floor. It was no problem to them and they were happy to move us into a beautifully decorated en suite room on the top floor. The decorations were tasteful in the bedrooms and dining area; there was even a comfortable lounge for you to wait whilst they were processing arrivals. Even though we did not pay for breakfast, management were kind enough to store our takeaway in their own fridge overnight and even allowed us to help ourselves to a cup of tea from their kitchen. It was a shame that the weather hadn't been fantastic as the garden area. looked like the perfect place to have sat and enjoyed ourselves. There was room to store your luggage if check-out time did not suit your departure time from the area.

The cleaniness the location near the King’s Cross station (walking distance) the outside garden area great to relax on an evening after a full day sight seeing, and the staff were very attentive and friendly including refreshments in your room with bottles of water and biscuits just what we needed when arrive and we would definitely return again and felt safe as a single mum with a teenage daughter 👌🏻

Paper cups or a choice or a normal cup too and I would’ve preferred a bath for a long soak after a long day in the city though my daughter preferred showers!

Stayed here for seven nights for sightseeing London in late October 2022. Accommodation as per photos. Great location, as not 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross. Very central for onward links via tube/train/bus or shanks mare etc. Excellent base for days out of sightseeing. Easy check-in as there is a 24 hour desk. Helpful & accommodating staff. Room turnover every day & very clean. Complementary tea/coffee/biscuits & bottled water every day. Good sized TV & free fast reliable Wi-Fi. Good standard of décor for the rooms. Good shower. There's a lift if your knees are not the best & it works fine. Everything as advertised & works. Nice outdoor area for evenings to chill out after a day of sightseeing, this is unusual & in the summer I can see this as being an advantage. Rooms are relatively quite & the size is fine, bear in mind you're in central London & you'll be fine. Plenty of nearby eateries for breakfast/dinner two 2 "Irish pubs" very close by. We didn't avail of the Breakfast as had other plans, but the dinning area looks nice & leads out to outdoor space. Handing in the room key when you're heading out for the day is a non-issue, as you pick it up when you return in the evening. The room is safe. Plan to be back in Sept 2023 & will book this hotel again !

There's nothing here to say. However you must manage your expectations, this is central London. The rooms & Shower/WC can seem a bit small but these are old buildings & as long as you remember that you're here to see London (or just passing through) & not the room, it becomes an non issue !! We found that we could not hear anything for the next rooms, but the windows are timber sash & look original, but provide little sound proofing from the outside world, we were not here during the day, but we found that by the time you're ready for sleep at night the area does get quite, this is a residential area after all. Nothing bad here.
