Breakfast was perfectly adequate for continental.. Service from Steve was excellent - coffee & hot toast served to table - Thankyou Steve! The plums were delicious! The bed was the most wonderful level of comfort - after travelling through Australia, Norway & London … this is the most comfortable mattress I have slept on - Thankyou !! The quad room was fabulous.. bathroom in middle & seperate bedrooms either side … wonderful fir privacy when travelling with teenagers… Rooms were a very good size & room for suitcases & hand luggage cases on floor. Could turn heating off - which was great.. bathroom was very clean & no mould.. also the first time since I left home that I feel the cleaning was actually done properly! Thankyou ! A shame we didn’t book your hotel , before Xmas instead of a terrible air bnb for 4 in St. John’s wood ( Ralima)

rooms are a bit dated decor wise but are very clean- new bathroom, good comfy beds/ linen .

The staff at The Darlington Hyde Park were exceptionally friendly. Nothing was ever a problem and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. The rooms were clean and fans provided for the warm nights. Breakfast was very good value.

Terrific hotel in an amazing area. The property is extremely clean and well kept. The staff is very helpful, friendly and kind. Special thanks to Angel who goes above and beyond. There's a bunch of options in terms of means of transportation that can take you literally anywhere in London. Paddington station is 5 minutes away. Hyde Park and the beautiful Kensington are within walking distance. I was staying in a single room. The space is utilized very well and allows for a very comfortable stay. The bed is super comfy and the bathroom is just the right size. Truly great experience!

Staff at this property were very good, professional and helpful. The single room was well set out and comfortable, at a location for easy access to Paddington station. Nice reception area and luggage storage was appreciated. Continental breakfast was good, with a choice of basics before a final day shopping before heading home.

The only thing that was weird was the very small shower recess. If the folding door had been on the opposite side it would make it easier to access the shower without getting your head wet trying to negotiate getting around the shower head and taps etc.

The staff at The Darlington are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent - close to public transport and Hyde Park. My room was clean, the bed comfortable, the shower good, in-room safe. There is a lift. The breakfast was adequate for me in a very nice breakfast room.

My single room was on the top floor. Adequate in size but it was hot - uncomfortably so - even on a 16 degree day. The windows only open about 20cm due to an anti-theft device. There was a tall stand fan that did little to help. Overall decor is a bit sad and dated.

Very clean and in a safe area. Convenient to Paddington station and Heathrow Express. Good transport links to all the major London sites. The room was spacious, warm and clean. the bathroom had a shower over the bath with brilliant water pressure. Continental breakfast was good. Shout out to Domenika who was always cheerful and very helpful. the use of a washing machine (4 pounds including detergent) and clean dryer (2 pounds) was convenient.

We had a triple room on the second floor at the front of the building. there was a bit of road noise which may bother some people. Beds were clean but there was the occasional spring that we needed to avoid.

Excellent location for me coming into a London via Paddington Station. Room was comfortable with enough space and bed was comfy. The room was very clean and well equipped with tea and coffee and a kettle, a fridge and a safe; tissues and bath and shower products were also provided. Shower was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a lift.

Breakfast could be improved with more choice of fruit and cereal and bread. Curtains didn’t meet properly in my room. Noise from other guests woke me up in the night. Pillows are a bit hard.

Clean, great location 5 min walk from Hyde Park 5 min walk from Paddington Station. 10 min from Oxford St. Staff very friendly and accomodating. 11 am check out was a bonus. Fridge in room was welcome. Loved the bath! Would deffo stay again.

The colour of the feature wall was not my fave thing and the mugs are a bit on the small side. I like a biiiig coffee in the morning! I' m really clutching at straws...there is nothing bad to say about the Darlington...would deffo stay again.

Friendly staff. Continental breakfast is OK. Roomy single room with minifridge and boiler. Lift. I could see the London Eye from my window.

There is no cleaning the rooms if you stay less than 5 nights. I was OK with that but did not realise until I arrived at the hotel. To get the full English breakfast you need to book directly from the hotel.
