beautiful lobby with amazing glass dome and a outstanding semi spiral staircase breakfast was very good , bed was very comfortable

the shower became blocked and flooded the bathroom, staff came on and unblocked it but failed to clean the excess water up.as a result during the night I slipped on the floor and twisted my Knee. They should have cleaned up the spillage or offered us a different room. They did offer a bottle of wine after they unblocked the shower. You do not expect this sort of problem in a 5 star hotel .

Staff were amazingly friendly, the room was great with a complimentary mini bar, and the facilities were good . Location was quite good also, close to underground and a few restaurants and bars near by without the hustle bustle of the city centre

Only 2 small things. One, I wasn't made aware of the 40 pound per night surcharge, a little unexpected. Secondly, and this is only a small thing, we wanted to eat in the restaurant on our last night as we were tired and didn't want to venture out but the menu was reduced and not to our liking, but there was a lovely Italian restaurant round the corner and other facilities if required, so not a big issue.

The staff greeted us with a warm welcome and a cold glass of sparkling wine. The decor, cleanliness and style of the reception and foyer area was typically classy of a central London hotel, the rooms were big and comfortable. We had breakfast the next morning which was very nice and again the staff were all attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed the stay.

We only stayed 1 evening, but we’d genuinely be nit picking to find any fault in our short stay.

Top location if u arrive to Stansted Airport: the hotel is within some minutes walking from the Liverpool station. Also, VERY comfortable and nice.

I Chose ab option to “pay at the property” on booking. But hotel first withdraw himself the money from my card before my arrival. We resolved the situation later same day!

Love the architecture and lobby of the hotel, and it's in a great location for restaurants, bars and cafes etc. Facilities in the room all very good.

There was no heating control in the room (in December), just an air conditioning controller that was set to max temperature, but the room was still cold. There was a portable heater in the wardrobe, which seemed a little rudimentary for a 5 start hotel.

Beautiful foyer and pleasant staff , nice room and probably the best pillow I’ve ever had in a hotel ( and I stay in a lot of them) . Complimentary drink on arrival and free mini bar (beer and soft drinks)

Quite hard to locate the room allocated as hotel has some split levels but got there in the end .. breakfast was extra at £15-£35 which seems high.

Location is convenient for visiting all the sights and catching up with family. An upmarket working area during the week but lovely and quiet at the weekend. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout - nothing too much trouble. We stayed here pre COVID and very pleased to see that it retained its high quality and comfort.

I liked the fact that there was complimentary mini bar and refreshments at reception while we waited to check in.

The shower was functional but complicated and the taps in the wash basin a little loose. Still worked. No full length mirror in my room. None of these spoilt my stay. Lots of lovely touches in the room like a coffee maker.

the front of house team were absolutely incredible … attentive, beyond helpful and super efficient!! the stay was very comfortable

the cold tap in the bathroom gives hot water for quite some time before it eventually goes cold . the room gets very warm and is quite airless as the window doesn’t open ..even with the air con on we went to use one of the towels and there was a used finger plaster attached and folded up on the inside ..

Good location for visiting Borough Market or Leadenhall Market & St Paul's areas. Bank tube station very close for further afield. Staff were all very good & bar was lovely. Would stay again.

No issues only slight niggle was room/bathroom was too dark to apply make up & had to move things around to find socket to use hairdryer.
