The room was large, clean and comfortable with a very comfortable large bed. Great to be able to park close to accommodation. Pub was good, had a nice evening meal with family, very reasonably priced. Breakfast was good. We had cooked breakfast which was excellent. Will be staying here again.

The continental breakfast option was a bit poor. We went to breakfast about halfway through service and there was no white bread for toast. Choice of fruit was poor, apples or bananas and there was a rotten apple at the bottom of the bowl. Only one fruit juice option (apple) same jug on both mornings. No butter for toast, only sunflower spread. Just needs a bit of tweaking for us to score 10/10

The property is a pub with accommodation in a separate block. The rooms are nice enough. clean, and have everything you may need. Heating in the room is via one electric heater on the wall, which was surprisingly adequate. Beds were comfy and clean. Mugs were available in the room for a hot drink, rather than the silly tiny cups you usually get.

My room was next to an area which obviously had a water pump or similar in it which would switch on quite noisily every few minutes. Breakfast was ok and tasty enough, just looked a little “thrown quickly together” Coffee and tea on the breakfast table were poor and tasted wrong. It’s not often I go back to my room for a better brew…

The room was excellent, huge, well appointed, fresh and clean. The access to the property was very easy, and because you had an outer door key you didn't have to worry about what time you made it back. Bath/shower was lovely, plenty of hanging space and room to stretch and the bed was the biggest I'd probably ever seen!

The pub connected to the hotel wasn't the best - I expected it to be a Greene King pub (as it's branded Greene King Inns) but it was a Hungry Horse - which meant it was a bit more rowdy than I was expecting - but equally the way that the hotel is structured means you never have to step foot into it and the fact it caters to families would be a boon for some. Also, be aware that the bathrooms have non-opaque windows that look out onto the car park, so make sure you close the blinds! 😱

Convenience for my needs was spot on , good access to my location , food was good and as I'm an angler theirs even a independent run lake at the bottom of the car park , perfect

Water tank was noisy when you switched the water on so you were conscious of noise your making . That would be the same when room next door used water. Didn't overly bother me as I'm a heavy sleeper, but something to keep in mind , I was in room 12 .

The rooms was an excellent size, clean. It look as though they have been renovated recently. The food was great - everything did what it said on the tine.

The staff were a mixture. We were not entirely greeted with a huge welcome. And service was abiit hit and miss. We put this down to not enough staff. The staff that were there were overstretched and quite likely lack of staff training. Not entirely the new staffs fault. The person that checked us look like she would have preferred to be somewhere else. We are only providing this feedback as constructive so that you are able to rectify it. We would certainly stay here again.

Rooms had been refurbished and they look really good, all clean and tidy with good facilities I.e tea, coffee, kettle, iron etc. never used a hotel iron but we stayed for a wedding so it was something that was rather handy! There is more than enough parking for the pub users and the hotel side, which is fab. Food was reasonably priced and some of the staff were very helpful and tried to go out of their way to see if we could get food on arrival, unfortunately the kitchen had closed but we appreciated his attempts to see what he could do anyway.

We could hear a fair bit in our room during the night, I’m not sure if it’d be wise to seal around the doors/windows to see if that helps dance some noise? We appreciate some of the staff maybe new and quite short staffed for the breakfast, but it did seem that a few didn’t know what they were doing or how to help.

1. Very clean room 2. Comfortable bed; crisp white sheets 3. Clean bathroom and thick white towels 4. Friendly staff

1. The noise level created by a water pump when guests used water. This was evident even though we could not hear any other noises coming from next door bar the use of water 2. On both occasions we had to ask for spoons for our breakfast as they were not on our table nor on the buffet.

The room was larger than I expected and very comfortable- lovely large bed - very clean and what one would expect from a high standard hotel chain. The bathroom was a good size and scrupulously clean. There were breakfast facilities in the pub attached and it all smelled good, but I did not stay for breakfast so cannot comment about its quality. I also liked that the curtains were of such good standard as to keep the room darker in the early morning light - extra snooze time always appreciated!

The weather was warm on my visit and I noticed that the towel rail was on in the bathroom with no option to turn it off. This did make the bathroom warmer than it need be. Also the radiators in the bedroom had what looked like corrosion on the top of their casings which was all the more noticeable as the rest of the room was so well presented. But these are just quibbles and did not detract from the overall stay. Be aware that the hotel is situated close to a busy road and some road noise can be heard- I did not bother me as it was fairly minimal.

The room was well presented, clean and tidy. Bath/shower was excellent. The food was excellent and despite being buy on Saturday evening, there was little delay between ordering and receiving the meal.

Every time someone used water in any room there was a loud pump noise. Without a good set of ear plugs this would have ruined a good nights sleep

My father and I booked two rooms at The Mill on The Soar arriving just before Christmas, during a very cold snap of weather. The rooms were really well heated so we were very comfortable both day and night. An immaculate and freshly decorated room and bathroom, fabulous bed and great bedding. Staff were very friendly and helpful, making our stay very pleasant. Danielle was wonderful at breakfast, thank you! We will definitely return!
