Very quaint, traditional inn. My room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Good sized bathroom too. My friends occupied two other rooms, both of which were of which were as good. The staff here were particularly friendly, helpful and efficient. It is quite a busy inn, but they have it under control. Fantastic location in the middle of the high street. Various car parks to choose from and within walking distance. Reasonably priced too. No breakfast here but they do state this when booking. Plenty of cafe's to get breakfast from on the high street so not a problem.

We were greeted with a smile and made very welcome. The building has character and the location is super - central Marlborough, choices of places to eat, and just a short walk to a car park. Marlborough is charming! A excellent base for exploring the Stonehenge and Avebury areas. The twinned bed room was spacious and clean, warm and quiet. The beds were comfortable and there were proper-sized mugs for a decent cuppa! We’d definitely stay here again, if in the area.

The en suite is a little small perhaps but well-appointed, with heated towel rail. There isn’t an option to have breakfast but this was clear on booking and wasn’t an issue for us.

Lovely, quirky old building. The floor in our room was not level, it was up hill all the way to get into bed but the king sized bed was absolutely level. Very well thought out. Marlborough is a charming little town.

Parking could have been an issue but not the fault of the buissnss. The council needs to step up advertising the locations of the long stay car parks for buissnss's with no on site parking..maps of access would be great.

The pub and food was lovely and the staff friendly. The room was amazing. Gorgeous bed, wonky old floors and a gorgeous fire place. The bathroom with roll top bath was huge and a real bonus. Cosy, plush cushions and nice biscuits and products. Right in the centre of Marlborough with plenty of pubs and eateries. Friendly and efficient staff too.

The water needed to be hotter and turned cold before the bath was run, but I'm sure this could be easily sorted. It would also have been good to have the choice of a thinner duvet too, as it was very hot with the thick one. Great stay though and minor things.

The Green Dragon Marlborough is a lovely hotel with friendly staff and bags of atmosphere. The building is very much olde worlde and has some marvellous eccentricities which really added to our stay, however I can imagine that folks who may have mobility issues might find these a challenge rather than a joy. The room was beautifully appointed and the hidden garden an absolute delight.

The Pub was advertising food, however there was no food of any kind to be had. No evening meal and no breakfast, a detail which only came to light after booking. Indeed the booking confirmation email I received was less than welcoming and read rather like a list of rules and things that they would not do, which meant that I was very apprehensive of the situation we might find when we arrived. I think there are lessons to be learned regarding Public Relations here.

We were very pleased with our stay at The Green Dragon. The room was small but comfortable and the stairs were indeed a challenge (as clearly indicated in the description) but manageable. We slept well!

There were one or two small things that needed to be improved but I spoke to the manager directly about this and she appreciated the feedback. I think we were lucky to have a quiet room at the back of the property. The bathroom could do with being updated (especially the shower) and the bathroom itself is tiny which might be an issue for some people. It would have been nice to have the option of breakfast in house.

Perfect location for the wedding we attended. The High Street is not particularly noisy at night so we slept well. Room clean, comfortable and well decorated with all expected facilities tea/coffee, water, toiletries, hair dryer, plenty of towels, shower in bath - no slip mat in bath though. Be warned stairs are narrow and steep to negotiate if mobility is an issue.

Can’t give a 10 as staff member was a little indifferent to us and our booking was not easy to find - frustrating as we were in a hurry to change and drive to venue. Breakfast is not offered which was not a problem for us, but…. No staff member was to be found on checkout at 10am which seemed a bit odd!

Everything. No problems at all. Room was really good and the location of the Hotel was perfect. The event I was booked for was a short distance from the Hotel which made my journey very straightforward.

I have some mobility issues and found access to the room a little challenging, especially with our luggage but the building is old, our room up 6 flights of stairs, so it was not unexpected.

Staff is amazing. Silvia is so helpful and warm-hearted. No lift. But the staff help you to take all the luggage into the room which is not easy.

The ceiling is a bit low. I bumped my head several times a day. And the temperature of the water is not easy to control. The floor is a slope. I feel a bit dizzy walking on it.

A charming old inn in the centre of Marlborough. Everything was really clean and fresh, and the friendly, welcoming, staff were lovely. Plus a comfortable bed, a peaceful and quiet night, and a location which is very easy to find, with parking convenient and a range of excellent restaurants nearby.

The bathroom was a bit small, but the real reason for a less-than-perfect rating was simply that we're not young or sprightly any more, and the dozen or so stairs to our room felt a bit narrow and at risk of a fall. They'd be fine for the young and agile....
