The whole experience from arriving at the property to leaving was exceptional. I travel often, but have never had the service I received here. Everyone I came in contact with was welcoming, friendly and ready to help in any way they could. The accommodation was, as it says in the advertising, a typical rural English pub - but was also so much more, exceptionally well-cared for - bags of atmosphere and very comfortable. Meals were exceptional. Located in the centre of a lovely village, nestling in the heart of rural England. I most certainly will stay here again if I am in the area - and would not hesitate to recommend the Kings Arms to anyone.

Can honestly say there was nothing I didn’t like - not often able to use that phrase.

A lovely pub in a pretty village with a lovely large green space at the back to relax with a drink in the evening. We received a warm welcome from the lovely host who cooked us a tasty veggie breakfast both days we were there. We felt at home because of the friendly service. We appreciated the tasteful decor and the comfortable beds in our rooms.

I am allergic to dust and experienced an allergic reaction in my room,, probably from the feather pillows. With hindsight I should have mentioned this to our host, who, I'm sure, would have supplied me with hyper allergenic pillows. The inside of my bedside cupboard was also a little dusty.

We chose here as were attending a music event nearby at Belvoir Castle. This is a room above a quiet country pub ..there is only one other room so really private and quiet. Lovely comfy bed. Really spacious en suite with a good shower. Tea and coffee facillities and bottled water The breakfast was great..restaurant standard The staff so helpful and welcoming Big car park thats safe and secure The pub food looked amazing during the day and is a lovely quaint popular local pub with good drink selection ..especially gins! Clean towels provided each day. Staircase to come and go so you dont have to walk through the pub if you dont want to. We really had a lovely stay here thank you!!

Nothing ...just a heads up that phone signal not amazing in the area which is not the pubs fault ..but they have free wifi

This is a little bijou gem of a place. With a warm and friendly welcome nothing is too much trouble for your host. The pub itself is clean and well loved: think old English pub and not modern faceless bland. The food is good, the water hot, parking is offroad and to the rear. The village setting is quaint and peaceful with Melton only a 7 minute drive away. I stayed 2 nights whilst visiting the Rare Breed sale at the livestock market and found this to be a comfortable and pleasant place to base myself.

Quiet location, nice room, very welcoming and friendly landlord and an excellent breakfast. We would stay there again but not on a Sunday.

After the initial disappointment when we we told on arrival that the pub was closed on Sunday night and there was no food available, the rest was really good. This was not mentioned on Booking.com. It really should be.

Absolute Gem of a place. Set in a beautiful little village, I really cant fault the place. I was greeted with a lovely welcome and the room was gorgeous. I loved all the little touches such as a fluffy bathrobe, toiletries and the mini fridge on the landing with complimentary water, extra milk etc. The breakfast was amazing and I also ate in the pub aswell and would totally recomend the food. As a female solo traveller I felt very safe aswell.

Nothing.. everything was perfect

This Guy Knows How To Cook! The owner and staff were very welcoming and friendly. There was a very cosy feeling with a log fire and the room comfortable, clean and with a good en-suite. The food was exceptional, high quality produce beautifully cooked and presented. Most importantly it tasted delicious, probably the best steak pie I’ve ever had….. and I’ve had a few!

The coffee in the room was not so good and a jug of fresh milk would have been better than the little cartons of UHT.

Great location, clean, comfortable bed, extremely quiet, delicious breakfast, nice bar.

Only downside in returning is that it isn't dog friendly in the rooms (the pub is). Apparently this is because the rooms are small but I think we could squeeze a Labrador in the one we had, no problem!

The room was very nicely decorated and cosy. The pub itself had a great atmosphere, a good drinks selection and fantastic food.

A few cobwebs and randoms spiders around the room.

The Kings Arms Scalford exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was excellent. Mark and his staff were all friendly and helpful and the evening meal was great particularly the home made steak and ale pie. A lovely location in a tranquil village, ideal for visiting Belvoir Castle. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay.

The room was a little tight for storage, but adequate for our 2 night stay.
